During 2xp I got my new Ill/Storm into the low 20's but realized I really have no idea how to build him. I'm not necessarily requesting builds, just general build advice.
1) What are the "must have" powers for that combo? What are the "don't gets"?
2) Since I nearly always run Superior Invisibility, am I correct in assuming that I don't need to slot for range?
3) Should I slot Ph Army more for recharge or damage? All of my previous toons have been melee AT's and I tended to slot my attacks 1xAcc, 1xEndRed, 1xRech, 3xDam. Is that OK in Ph Army? (or the other pets for that matter)
4) I didn't pick O2 Boost b/c I solo a lot. I would like to be useful on a team. Was that a bad move?
5) Melee AT's are nearly required to get Boxing, Tough, Weave. What pool powers are most useful to trollers? Does the Leadership pool affect pets?
I don't have access to Mid's right now, but I can post a build later:
Ill: I've got all powers up to Ph Army, except for Group Invis. I'm only 22 so Spectral Terror not available yet.
Storm: I have Gale (required), skipped O2 Boost, skipped Snowstorm, skipped Steamy Mist. Got Freezing Rain, got Hurricane.
My strategy: if PA is available, I cast it on mob followed by Freezing Rain. I then run into the mob and do Flash. I then start throwing around Spectral Wounds, Blackwand (vet) and Sands of Mu (vet) until the mob is gone. I then run to the next mob and hope there's enough time remaining on PA.
If PA hasn't recharged, then I usually Deceive a minion who then begins attacking his nearest ally. I then Blind that ally. I then start throwing around Spectral Wounds, Blackwand and Sands of Mu until both are gone. I use Hurricane as my "Oh $#!y" button.
Am I doing it right? Wrong? Any suggestions? -
I don't know how this got posted twice, plz ignore.

OK, I've opened the alpha slot, but haven't put anything in it. I've got plenty of shards and components, just haven't decided which path to take yet.
If I don't have anything in the slot, can I still get Notice of the Well? -

I'll bring Statesdude, my NRG/WP brute. S/b about 32ish by then.
Sorry you had to leave inna middle of Synapse, didja get the badge? I'd hate for you to have to run it again. -
Quote:I didn't read the article...but:
175,000 praetorian characters have been created since the launch of Going Rogue.
51% of all existing characters are heroes, 26% villain, 10% vigilante, and 13% rogue.
Praetorians are neither hero, villain, vigilante nor rogue.
51 + 26 + 10 + 13 ~=100.
...so those 175,000 Praetorians don't really exist? -
-
I'll be there, not sure who with. I'm planning on bringing Statesdude, my WP/EngM brute (my only redside AT ever) if I can get him out of Praetoria in time. Second choice is MagiusAegis, my Ill/Storm controller (likewise my only troller ever).
Suggestion: 15 min break between each TF to give everybody a chance to level up and replace enhancements?
Also, I am considering (decision not made yet) running back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back TFC TF's on Sunday afternoon. With double XP, would one toon be able to keep up with the minimum level requirements? -
Why are there two Goofy's?
/em smack_forehead "Locke and Michael were the same person all along!"
/em austin_powers "How'd I miss that?" -
To do the raid, about an hour. To set it up, about two

Need some help figuring what path to take.
I rarely have End problems, so I don't think Cardiac is the right way to go. I'm able to run all six toggles and fight. While flying. I would get some utility out of Resistance, but I'm already at ~85% Sm/Le Resistance. (Resist hard cap is 90%, right?) But I wouldn't get much use out of Range or Status Effect Durations.
Nearly all my attacks have Red Damage numbers in Mid's (indicative of "way into ED territory") so I don't think Musculature is the right way to go. Plus, I have no use for Immobilization Duration, Defense Debuff, Endurance Modification, ToHit Debuff and Run Speed.
I was hoping for a way to get moar damij. (I know, I know; not a tank's role. But I solo a lot.) Since Musculature won't really work for me, then I started leaning towards Spiritual, cuz Recharge is a good way to increase damage. Plus I would get some use out of Healing and ToHit Buff.
But Nerve looks like a no-brainer. Accuracy would kinda increase damage. Plus Defense Buff. Plus Taunt and Fly if I go Radial.
With the following build, which way would you go?

GATE-keeper - Inv/SS tank
I also have never done this one before -
For the last few weeks, our TF's have been Shard Hunts (and I'm OK with that). However, just a reminder that Saturday the 29th is Double XP, so can that weekend's TF (if there is one) be one in which we can use something other than 50's? Cuz 2xp is sorta wasted on 50's. Unless they find a way to double shards

I'll bring GATE-keeper, my 50 Inv/SS tank.

Of course, we could check. See, if she weighs as much as a duck...
I just threw a duck into a pond and the duck floated. That means she's a witch, right? -

Well, it really wasn't Gilgamesh's fault that the Other Boat steamed up to them and said "Mars needs wimmens so we're taking ur boy." Then Tom Sawyer (who wasn't even in the comic but - inexplicably - was in the movie) just started blasting away. Then the shark with the Dharma and Greg logo on it swam by and Huck Finn says "we're gonna need a bigger boat."

Quote:The difference being that Nadia and Keamy existed in the original world, whereas David didn't.12. David Shephard is not real. Like Nadia, like Keamy. They are merely props used in the construction of the sideways to help the main players get over their regrets and inadequacies. Jack needed David to get over his own daddy issues.
I've always felt that David really was Jack's "son", mebbe his first wife got pregnant, but didn't know it and had a spontaneous abortion. (somewhere around 25% of pregnancies are spontaneously aborted, sometimes without the woman even knowing she was pregnant.) -
I guess it's all kinda hard to follow if you're not real familiar with american pop culture.
The OP features a famous sci-fi phrase. The picture attributes the phrase to Dumbledore (the wizard in Harry Potter) and then has a picture of a famous wizard, presumeably of Dumbledore. The laughs come in because it wasn't Dumbledore that said "there is no try, there is only do or do not"; that phrase was actually said by Fozzie T. Bear in an episode of the '50's show Kung Fu. And the pictured wizard is not Dumbledore, it is Magneto from the Batman Begins movie. -
I'll be there with GATE-keeper (50 Inv/SS tank).
I've never done this TF before, so don't be shy about 'splaining what's going on.
I've gotta lotta Essence of the Earth's in my SG Base. Are they useful in the Hami encounter within this TF? -
