Huh. I did some touching up of a page of mine yesterday night, with no problems at all.
My bad? -

Quote:No, no, it's probably going to happen a lot. The proper question to be asking is, "So what?" As you, yourself, pointed out, these players in question will be garbage players, no matter what, until they actually start playing the game. If handing them a new shiny keeps them for a few more months, it's more development money for the rest of us.
Yes, the case that someone PLs to 20 never realizing how normal ATs play to get an EAT because they clearly have to be better since you have to unlock them, and then doesnt like how that plays yet never goes back to trying another AT, is probably not very likely and I probably worry too much. -
I've been looking to try my hand at an AV. Is Tyrant on the easier end of the spectrum? I'm running Katana/Regen with decent positionals, so I can take most types of damage well, I think.

...Because if I'm going to die, I'll be damned if I didn't earn that death.
...Because, yeah, that's right. I'm better than you, and I can prove it.
...Because while that might be your boomstick, this is my beating stick. And mine's bigger. -

Quote:I'm concerned about this, as well, for many of the same reasons. I realize that in a comic book world killing is typically a bad thing to do, but I really hope there's enough room for nuance in the system that a character who's only willing to kill under certain circumstances isn't automatically lumped into the same group as a character who kills as a first resort.Speaking of "accidental" side switches, that's something I've been wondering about for a while. The first mention of making a moral choice in a mission by a dev (since the NCSoft takeover, anyway) was something along the lines of "(a) kill the evil dictator and cause society to collapse or (b) let him live and continue hurting everyone." Neither of those choices seems like an obvious right or wrong to me; both seem fairly bad. Certainly, neither seems patently heroic or villainous. Maybe, since this is a comic-themed game, we're supposed to apply Batman Morality and assume that Killing Is Always Evil, And Anyone Who Does It Is A Horrible Monster, No Matter The Circumstances. If so, I'd like to know in advance so that I don't have a heroic character make the wrong Impossible Choice.
Basically, I'm hoping that when one is doing a side-switching mission, the moral choices are obvious. Yes, this runs against the "shades of grey" concept that's being pushed with Going Rogue, but as long as the concept of "sides" exists, so does some form of absolute, in-game code of right and wrong. It would be disingenuous to create a story about a choice of evils and then, when the character returns to the contact, be told, "The evil you decided NOT to choose? That one was actually a good." -
I don't know.
Would I resist entering a relationship more strongly, were I aware that I'd probably outlive my grandchildren? I think so. But is it possible some woman above such a threshold exists? I think that is possible, too. -
Quote:I don't have Revive, but I'll level with you. The situations where I find I might actually need it, I'm usually just better off going to the AE Hospital, anyways. You're really getting more bang for your buck by taking almost any other power. Now i notice that that im not going with Revive in this build. Now to be perfectly honest I have not died yet with this build, but it was a power i felt like i had to take to get any quick leveling done. Is there any real reason to take revive versus having an Awake+BreakFree+Respite+CatchABreath in my inspiration pool at all times.

Quote:You're a bad person because you snark too much? Pics or it didn't happen, *****.What? No! I don't do any of that. I just hate people, constantly berate them, and have an inordinately high opinion of myself. Besides, kicking kittens isn't any fun because they crumple after the first kick and babies aren't nearly worth the effort of stealing from their parents.

Actually, it's probably about the same cost to get a good Katana/Regen build as it is to get a good Dark/Regen build. But since they're both building for recharge/defense, it's moot. The only question you need to ask is if you prefer defense or healing.

Quote:Farming will take absolutely no brain power. It's also about as stimulating as watching grass grow. Playing the market will require learning a bit about the market, and it's got some potential to fail, but it also doesn't take nearly as much active time. For a strong, but not ridiculous /Regen IO Build, you'll probably be fine running TFs with some will for a week or two.Hey guys, this is some great info, (you guys should make a guide
) so I just wanted to see if i can squeeze any more info out of you two:
- Let's say that when I finally hit level 50, what would be the best approach to getting the IO's that I need, farming for inf and trying to play the auction game or trying to get the merit for random recipe rolls?
Quote:- When you hit lvl 50, are most missions done in groups or can they still be done solo, and if in a group, what can I do to help out my potential teammates?
Quote:- What exactly is the situation I should use Moment of Glory for? And was it a good idea for me to go thru the trouble to get the Rikti invasion accolade psionic defense power to pair up with MoG (+res(all but psionic) and +res(psionic)). Or is there a stacking problem with that, that I'm unaware of?
Quote:- This isn't really a question, but just want to say you guys are awesome, I've been having so many problems, especaly in the end department and this has already started helping out. -

Well, with proper slotting, it's high Damage per Endurance can only go up. Six slots, if used correctly, can make it proportionally ten times more efficient than any other power you have.
This is because it doesn't cost endurance anymore to use it.

...
Well, I don't think I saw that particular end coming. Any plans for a follow-up? -

Anyways, I like Sefu, as well. We laughed, we cried, and then after cigarettes, he made himself scarce. What a gentleman. -
Quote:That's not a terribly fair accusation. You're ragging on a problem comics as a medium have, not Batman in particular. Yes, in his instance, it is pronounced, but it's like ragging on Superman for wearing spandex: there's nothing the character can actually do about it. The problem's metafictional. I hate linking to TvTropes, because I'm capable of forming my own opinions, thank you, but they do have a very good writeup of the entire thing. The problem is a Vigilante 'helps' people even if they don't do so legally.
Batman on the other hand attracts crazies, crazies who will maim and murder just to attract his attention. In turn despite being the cause of this problem, Batman won't do anything about it. Even if we ignore the lethal ways, he has a whole host of none lethal ways that would get his rogue gallery out of everyone's hair.
Sort of the same with Spiderman, sometimes the Bugle is right, and Spidey is a menace, at least he is when his rogues are out just to get him, and messing everyone else's day up in the process. But at least they have better prisons in Marvel NYC.
Edit to clarify:
Batman isn't a vigilante in my opinion, because his existence does more harm than good.
"Gotham" comics Batman that is, the more fantastical Justice League and team comic Batman, is a great boon to mankind.

As per ParagonWiki:
Quote:So, for example, while it might seem as though a Defender's Radiation Infection should be valuable against Captain Mako's extremely high defense bonus in the Statesman Task Force, the Infection's debuffs are heavily resisted. Optimally enhanced, Radiation Infection applies a -61% Defense penalty, which should cripple Mako's defense rating, but as it's against a +4 enemy it is at half strength due to the Purple Patch (-61 * .5 = -30.5), and as it's against a level 54 Archvillain a further 87% of that is resisted (-30.5 * (1 - .87) = -3.965%), leaving the net effect approximately half as useful at counteracting Mako's high defense as using a single Insight inspiration for a +7.5% ToHit bonus. Similarly, even against an equal-level AV, a level 50 Defender's mighty Lingering Radiation Regen debuff will be dropped from its usual -500% to -75%.
