hello all,
i am currently trying to hit 50 with my elm/sd scrapper and i have a question or two.
1) i want to soft cap the defense and i am wondering if i can do it without weave. i dont have alot of money atm so should i get it and the respec it out when i have more money for better IO sets.
2) Can someone help me out and post a build with softcapped defense with out using really expensive sets. I have a build on mids but i cant seem to post it to the boards. my right mouse button isnt working or there is another problem somewhere.

I currently have a 50 ice/wm tank that i am trying to IO out. I guess i should have been clearer. I just want to be able to farm a bit and handle the TFs if the need arises.

ok if i get rid of conserve power and push icicles to 47 and then take clobber at 22 where do i get the slots for clobber from? I assume i want to at least slot it with 5 slots right?

Hey all I just rolled out a Rad/Kin and im just looking for info on power choices and the like. I think this combo would rock for the debuff of rad and the team buffs of Kin. Is there a reason i dont see these guys, like ever? Am i missing something? What powers in the Rad set can be skipped if any? I know the kin side cause i got a kin on heroside.

Hey all I have hit 50 on my Ice/WM tank. I have been using a SO build for awhile to save up money. I have managed to save a bit and am now trying to put together an IO build. This is where the problem comes in. I have no idea where to start or how i should build it. Using mids is a definite but, can i use the slots on my SO build the way i have it now or should i start from the ground up and reassign them. Should i build for defense above all else or should i be focusing on some other area? Please any help u can provide and any builds i might be able to look at would be great.

Hey all im working on my Elec/Invul brute and i am unsure about jacobs ladder. I was using it for awhile but couldnt seem to get it to hit more than one person. It does nice damage but if i cant get it to hit more than one person do i want it in my build? What are your thoughts on it?

Hey all i recently rolled an invul/Ice tank. I went this way cause I've always wanted and invul tank but i didn't want fire or ss as i see those pairings all the time. I know ice isn't on the top of the list in terms of damage but i can live with that. I was tinking more along the lines of just being able to stand there for a long long time and finally winning in the end. I was thinking ice slick and all the slows in ice will allow me to do that. Is this a viable combo and what pitfalls can u all help me avoid as i lvl mine up.

I know that the magic number is 45% for a softcapped build for defensive based toons( IA and SD.) I it possible to go higher than that and is there a hardcap? Is there a benefit to going over the soft cap?

Thanks for the input guys. I will try to move slots around to get all attacks 6 slotted. But how should i slot hibernate? Just leave it with the slot it comes with? I need to go home in order to get the build and change it but i will post the revised build when i can.

how do u reformat it so that it looks the way it used to?

Hey fellow tankers,
I came up with this build and I'm just wondering if it is looking good so far. I have only used SO's cause i am trying to raise the funds for IO sets but that may be awhile. I am just wondering if the build looks good or if i need to tweak the slotting around to make it better. I am also wondering about endurance and how heavy it will be on my blue bar. I only plan to run tough when needed but weave should be on all the time. Any constructive feedback is welcome.
