Quote:This is happening to all characters. I tried it on an existing character, after I heard it was a problem; it is confirmed that it is still pointing to the old Galaxy City contact. I /bugged it; be sure to do the same.EDIT: Note that this was on a new Street Justice character, created AFTER the launch of Issue 21 (obviously).

Tested out Aaron Thierry's arc tonight; you can get the arc (and the badge) before level 5. I turned off XP during Sondra Costa's arc, when I hit level 4.
You'd have to turn off XP in order to get to Aaron before level 5; I managed to stay level 2 for quite awhile, but the hunts in Sondra Costa's arc (or the officer's arc, for that matter) were what pushed me up quite significantly. Don't see a real reason to turn off XP just for this, but there you go. -
Quote:I would have to try it to confirm it, but I don't think you can even get to Aaron Thierry before level 5. Even when doing the bare basics of each mission beforehand, you still tend to get a lot of xp to get you up a few levels.
Savior of Atlas Park begs to differ and would have words with you.
I'll create a new alt and try it later, defeating only what's needed for the mission completion. The only problem I see cropping up, is if you do come in at a lower level, but then have to fight the Arachnos, who are higher levels, will the higher xp from killing +1 mobs put you over the edge? -

Quote:I believe you are reading far more into my post than I wrote, but I will leave it at the fact that I apologized for my post.By attempting to point out his spelling errors to everyone you were trying to insinuate that he was either ignorant, uneducated or lazy. Pointing out ones flaws to everyone in an attempt to make yourself look better or smarter is unnecessary, especially in a thread such as this.
You gain nothing and in most cases, loose more respect from others than the individual you were pointing out. -

Quote:I lose game time as well; it doesn't mean the game is officially horrible now. It's a part of life; no need to beat a drum about it... its not doom post mate, i love this game, i have 2 accounts, i spent 250 euro in PP when Store opened... sadly lately me and a lot of friends of mine in defiant feel that we don't have good service and we lose a lot of gaming time.... alot of them showed their rage with petitions.. its starting to get really annoying for us
Quote:really sorry if my post (or spelling) offended you..... -

Unless you were around a couple of years ago, when the servers were going down every weekday, you have no idea about how bad it could get.
Also, most browsers come with automatic spell checkers; maybe try using it in your next Doooooom™ post? -
Normal Thursday maintenance window, so they're probably down for that.

Quote:Heh, maybe they could merge together a la Hercules Titans...I can imagine all the technical drama that would be involved, but it would be cool if of the Supers scaled based on the number spawned. You start with 10 smaller ones, and the last one standing grew to GM size.

Or at least make them wait outside. They aren't house trained yet, you know.

OK, so my billing date is the 3rd, so, as I understand it, I should have gotten my points and token today. (Just for confirmation, I received my last vet reward/badge on September 3rd.)
However, I've gotten neither so far today. Do we know if there is a certain time that they post? -

Wow...just wow. If it's on purpose, great job, devs! If not, DON'T FIX IT!

Infinity usually has them on Sundays around 8pm EDT.

Quote:Not really complaining, just find it amusing that these threads keep showing up. You know, making a joke about it? Maybe I should have put a smiley at the end? That's funny. Complaining how frequent these threads appear, when they appear in less number than server downtimes.
Irony much.... -
Wow, really? You've been on that 100 PP path for awhile...
You get 1200 PP for $15, so that request is for essentially $1.25. So, either you really aren't that disturbed by all the downtime or there's something specific for 100 PP you want. Maybe there's another reason for that amount, but I'm not sure what it is... -
Hey, these threads only come up on days ending in "day"....
As for the OP....
Yes, downtime sucks. However, making ridiculous claims that the game is down more than up IS hyperbolic. 2 hours is not greater than 22 hours, at least not in this corner of the universe. While I can understand if this is your prime playing time (it is for me, here in the USA), ranting about it will not change anything. As explained earlier, the devs are more than sure to be taking this seriously; their livelihoods depend on keeping the game running smoothly as much as humanly possible.
A word of warning: We can probably expect a few days of maintenance next week as well; anyone who feels the need may want to prepare their rage-filled threads now. -
Quote:Yeah, I'm guilty of that. Have my hero badger who has made the trip to both sides, sitting at almost 1200. My villain badger is still heroside, with a little over 1100.EDIT: Let me expand... prior to going rogue, many badgers created two badgers, one for hero side badging and one for villian side badging. I seriously salute those who carried on with both badgers once going rogue came along.
Yet, there are others who have 1250+ badges on 3+ toons; that is serious dedication/insanity. -
Quote:Hey, even Nixon likes Charleston Chews! And also count me as someone who loves Chartleston Chews
Those are so good! I used to get those with my sister all the time when we were little!
Nixon's Head: Break-up delegation, before we hear your report, our grateful universe is proud to honour you with the great taste of Charleston Chew! (Charleston Chew fireworks explode in the background and the crowd cheers.)
Nixon's Head: Our planet has been through a lot this year, but we have not forgotten what is truly important... the great taste of Charleston Chew!
And, just in case you aren't familiar with these, it's a running gag on Futurama. -
Going with the idea of shredding souls, you could describe your primary as Soulfire, or something similar. The idea being that you aren't physically burning them, but burning their souls/spirits/ids.
I have a similar concept with my fire/dark corr; I colored my fire to be the same as my dark, and it's a Darkfire corrupter.
