  1. PANTS I posted the same topic after this one, curse j00 Tyl.
  2. CoT can also be mistaken for the Cavern of Transcedence trial

I might be wrong, but I believe you're missing Respec out - otherwise known as Respecification / Trial.

    elec/elec

My main is an elec / elec PvE / PvP mix, but I would advise you get at least one hold - Plight's elec / elec / elec PvP build (trust me, it works) works on end drain - your opponent has no end, they can't do diddly squat. Chuck a hold in when they have no end and you're laughing. If you do go for a hold, Shocking Grasp is a melee hold thing, Telsa Cage is the ranged BUT is longer animation than the elec mastery Shocking Bolt - which also deals slightly more damage over time.

    Uber Stalker Ode

Playing a stalker as an AT allows me to avoid nasty court orders in real life!

Ignite - Creates a static patch of flame. Useful for blocking things like stairs, doorways, and other things, but Caltrops will do the job too. Also has a fear component that will scatter carefully herded mobs, so not the best. Flamethrower has better damage and is much more useful.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Ignite AND Caltrops is what you want. Grab a bunch of bad guys, drop your 'trops on them and then show them the light in the form of superheated petrochemical gel courtesy of Ignite. And then Flamethrower the remains.

Plus, Ignite recharges so fast you can lay another patch on the screaming, burning survivors if you want to be even less heroic about it.

Heh, you've sold the power for me there

Yup. This goes out especially to people that say PvP doesn't work in this game. Solo, I'd agree. But team PvP is where it's at. Pretty much all the best moments I've had in this game have been when in a decent team PvP situation (S4 especially. Two organised teams going at it, such great fun.)

I urge everyone who's had a bad PvP experience to get a team together and head to Sirens one night. Trust me, you'll love it. Especially if there's a decent team on the other side.

    [/ QUOTE ]

QFT - ask a couple of level 50s in the zone if you can hang with them since it's likely they're PvPing. Teams mean more bounty and you will find you get a genuinely enjoyable experience if there is a decent villian group to face you AND SOs if your team get the arrests / kills in
  12. Yeah, I had a couple of friends from a sg and managed to get them into Siren's one day, and they just so happened to be an Emp / Dark defender and a Mind / Emp troller, with TK. I was the blaster.

Cue much death and destruction in our 'ZOMGOSH, but we're not made for PvP!! d00000m!!1' wake

    My First Video:)

    Bloody Katana / Regens.

9 - 1 vs. River yesterday. At least I got her to drop once. Sigh.

Anyhoo, I like to think of myself as being able to prolong fights past their sell by date, so @Frazzle.d if you wanna splat me after 2 minutes worth of fight time

Rather swift and sweet video Ser

Weavster, how much would you say you depended on Fitness? I'm quite surprised at the damage output so far I can do and can easily keep running through an even level mission without pausing (using inspirations, of course).

I was thinking that combining the knockback powers would be enough to let me tackle enemies at my own pace...

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Weavster"...? New one on me. It's "Dreamer" or "DW" to friends, Frazz-Dawg.

Stamina is sadly pretty essential, particularly with END-hungry weapons such as M30 (if you take it) Flamethrower and Full Auto. Not to mention Cloaking Device and Targeting Drone toggles. (I rarely turn either off these days...)

What you take to get there is up to you, but I always get Health as a matter of course.

Knockback can be useful but I wouldn't count on it to save your skin. Also be wary of using too many Knockback powers around herder-build Tanks (they're neat freaks, bless 'em, don't like things going everywhere).

BTW - if you really want to have a Commander Harris combat build, consider an AR/Energy.

You lose TD, CD and those lovely mines, but Build Up, Boost Range, and Power Boost can have you unleashing great damage over huge areas, adds a very reliable knockback power (jim-jamYAHA!) or two, and turns you from a Ghost Recon commando type into a guns-n-fists classic pulp hero. It's actually very workable...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Naaaaaaaah, he's an army mascot, but he's likely to get Jump Kick and I'm going to slot Buckshot with knockback, hehe, so good trotting up and doing the battlecry then slamming a shotgun blast in their faces.

Never have liked the look of Energy, /Devices also looks 100x more evil too, and a lot of things in the AR / Dev mixup will send a lot flying around anyway. M30 grenade, HOY!!

Fitness shouldn't be too much of a problem to get in, and it's likely to end up being a FoTM build buy meh, it'll still rawk anyway.

Oh yeah, I think Weavster came from.. whathisname, Dark Weaver, a stalker on Defiant. Not seen him in game or on the forums recently though.

    Ice tankers??

I have an Ice / Mace, I can say that it's not weak as people make it out to be. Much stronger damage than most of the other Tanker secondaries, athough the recharge and end usage is a bit annoying, I'd recommend sticking with it for the rather swish looking, and mighty, AoE attacks on the Mace.

Rooks does this, then the leader of the reborn said 'Stop jumping around like your playing Battlefield 2' only with about 30 F******* thrown in

Ah right, so it annoys other players then.

Do it more often! With Prestige Power Slide Running!

    Here's a hint

Rather than trying to fill in attack chains with constant moves, why not dump that approach and try something else that works remarkably well?

Get a couple of decent attack chains set up, but also work your way away from the standing still posture. Move around. Jump a little bit. Move behind some scenary. Run into a group with stealth / superspeed on - while attacking.

You'll find your attacks will have charged up anyway, you're harder to nail down and you can prolong your fights against multiple opponents should you feel the need to, rather than trying to vainly hold your ground.

This works well in PvE too, keeping range between you and your targets in between blows.

  20. Hint; don't fight elec / elec blasters expecting to win
  21. You're a pancake Tylantia.

    Gratz.

As far as Spines/Regen go, my Brute can beat them toe-to-toe. The problem is keeping them in toe-to-toe range once they start to lose.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In SC i went toe to toe with my spines/regen Vs a SS/Inv brute and it was remarkably good fun, it lasted quite a while with heals and dull pains being fired off (no insp) my initial advantage was slowly eroded away by the brutes growing power. It literally did come down to the last hit, which unfortunately for me he got Was a lot of fun.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, my best fights have been with brutes too, had actual stalemates with one or two

What really gets me about Spines is Impale. Ranged -fly, -jump and immob with really good damage. Can you say squishy killer?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm interested to know just how a spines / regen would come out on top of a fight against an SR scrapper / stalker anyway. Radiant, did you have defence against the AoEs (the main problem for stalkers in Hide) and ranged attacks? Those are essentially the Spines' thing... as well as their toxic damage, which not many have resistance against.

IMO, it should be 50 / 50 - Spines can't get past the defences, and I would guess MA is possibly the best scrapper / stalker primary to attack regen with it's single target emphasis...

    I think.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yep got all the SR powers as soon as possible and 3 slotted em all with DEF SOs but evade doesn't appear until lvl 35 so can't be used in sirens.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    :/

Hmm, maybe your build isn't made for multiple scrapper fighting then? Try and think of it as a controller / blaster / defender killer...

Without Placate or Build-Up, I wouldn't imagine you'd be able to push enough damage to get a regen on the ropes
