If you have no problem with people paying their monthly fee and not even playing the game, what the difference if people pay an upfront cost for vet rewards? Does it really matter that someone has something that you feel only a small number should? or is just bad precedent?

I'm sort of playing devil advocate, because I disagree with the idea of microtransactions in general, but I would like to hear your thoughts.
I have no problem with allowing people to pay for their vet rewards upfront as long as they wait the same length of time to get them that I did.

That's what these guys are really whining about. They don't want to wait. They'll confuse the issue and try to make it seem like it's about the cash but it isn't. It's never been about the money. It's about being impatient.

I'm not sure what problem you are having but I can easily see what recipes I have in my inventory as well as what salvage I need to buy for them while I have my market window open.

As for typing in salvage, that isn't necessary. There's a little slider on the right side of the market widow that you can click on and scroll thru the list of salvage to get to the item you want to buy.

Of course, the devs could fix that little problem if they merged the markets...
I was thinking the same thing.

  5. Nothing new to see here. The OP appears to have scanned thru Jay's Costume Request thread and the Suggestion and Ideas forum and cherry picked popular requests for a wish list which he posted in the wrong section.

The devs won't even see this thread because they don't follow posts in this section. If the OP is lucky maybe a mod will move it to the Suggestion section.

Also it's not hard to figure out this is the wrong section for this type of post. Each section has a description of what it's used for.

Thanks for checking. I don't keep track of market prices myself. But I do have one question tho.

Is 100+ million the standard rate they are going for, or is it the price some fool paid because he was impatient and couldn't wait a few days so he paid top dollar to get it "NAO!"?

Don't get me wrong tho, if they want it immediately then that's their choice.

That's about it. What do you think?

To be honest whenever I see that hairstyle I automatically think of Eddie Munster.

What stakes? The fact that some people think this is such a big deal when we are already making millions of inf hand over fist just convinces me more that the devs should remove the ability to use a respac to pull enhancements from a build entirely. It's a game. Get over it.

I have to admit that a part of me agrees with this sentiment. Sure I use respecs now to pull off low level IO's for reuse on new characters instead of replacing them with high level IO's. Or I pull them when I decide to delete a character, but I really wouldn't miss it. It's just a convenience I take advantage of because it's allowed.
  13. First off let me add another welcome to the game.

Personally I like to slot IO's as early as level 7, because I don't have to replace them until I'm level 25-27. I'm also selective about which missions I accept. Early in the game I choose to fight Hellions and CoT when playing my heroes because they drop magic salvage which sells for a lot of cash.

Also when placing bids in the market please remember this one bit of advice.

    PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!

There are players out there that enjoy crafting enhancements and they sell them dirt cheap. A little patience almost always gets you what you want at a reasonably low price.

Depending on the AT and power, I frequently get low level IO's (10 - 15 level) I need for as low as 10, 50, 100 influence. Things like Accuracy, Endurance, Heals I regularly get for 2,000 - 5,000. Just from being patient.

AT higher levels you'l of course be paying more but again patience will get you what you want for a fair price, and once slotted you won't have to replace it for quite some time. That means everything you earn from missions and drops just keeps piling up.

The outrageous sold prices you see in the market are made by people that have no patience. They have to have everything immediately.

I have found that by slotting IO's early and then just focusing on getting and selling magic drops heroside, I can easily have at least 1 million influence by level 10. That's a huge help once I leave those zones and I have a nice size bank account waiting for me when I need to replace my IO's at levels 25-27.

Also when playing pay attention to any holiday events. Special salvage drops like Candy Canes and Halloween Costumes (4 types) can be sold for a fortune.

Candy Canes can be traded in for a Universal Travel Power recipe set that can be sold for millions. Especially if you sit on them for a few months. You can sell the recipe or craft it and sell the enhancement.

Halloween Costume Salvage (a set of 4) is used to unlock a fifth costume slot, and while everyone has them right now, in a few months they will have become scarce and will sell for top dollar at the market.

I hope you've gotten some things you've found useful from us and they help make your online experience more fun. Cya in the City.

I appreciate the thought, but leveling is so easy unlocking a costume slot isn't a big deal. My problem is that my brain locks up whenever I try to figure out binds and macros.

Hell, make the gignore list infinite and that also solves the broadcast problem too. Slap a gignore on em and no more problems.

Its using a tank to crack a peanut as it is now.

RMT site used to use trials to transfer things from their farm accounts and take it to their buyers. If an RMT site can't use trials to invite their customers to team and then meet to do a transfer they have to risk an account they are paying for to do it.

There is some in base storage but it's an SG I was asked to act as caretaker until the founders return. As such I made myself a promise that I wouldn't use it anything in it for personal gain.

Sometime in the future you will leave again. You may go back to Champions becaus eyou have a lifetime sub or you may play other games.

Since we are talking food, i covered it easily, my regular lunches at work were 5 for a drink, side and entree, i just got heatable entrees for 2 bucks at the local grocery store and bought a drink at work, saving 2.05 a day, spread out over 5 days and the cost was covered for a minor adjustment and no real decline in food quality.

To be honest when I was working I'd buy generic 2 or 3-liters of soda and refill my 20 oz bottles. The supermarkets where I live have them dirt cheap. .69 to .79 cents for the store brand 2-liters and .99 cents for the 3 liters.

I got disgusted with the price of sodas years ago when the ****** name brand cans got to be as expensive as the generic 2 liter knockoffs. I haven't bought a name brand soda in years unless it was a sale on 2-liters.

I'm good at shifting my resources around. I'm on a fixed income of $770. per month. (no job right now) and I save up to treat myself to eat out (cheaply) once or twice a month, and I always try to maximize what I get so I can stretch it out and savor it.

Buying things in bulk like Ramen Noodles help me free up the cash to spoil myself with junk food every once in a while.
  20. Just reporting back in to say I had trouble with the /bind so I went with the macro and I'm happy to report that it works great.

There are a few times when it goes off spotty but I think that's a lag issue and not a problem with the macro itself. I can't use the smokebomb yet because my character The Ramen Ninja isn't high enough yet, but I do have a stage magician Sim Sim SalaBim that uses it with the Lightning emote.

I set up two macros on him and it looks so sweet when the lightning strikes and he fades from sight in perfect sync with the lightning fading away . . . then the reverse when Lightning stikes out of nowhere and as the light fades away it reveals him standing there.

    AWESOME!!!

    A million thnks Shadow!

-How do you go about applying that US version to your NC account? Does it need updating?

-Which server US side if the 'Home' of RP?

Yes, they would if they thought it would be detrimental to the game.

Just look at the RMT sites that sell InfluencejInfamy. Do you think the devs aren't aware how much money the company could make if they started selling things like Inf, IO Recipes, Salvage.
