2500 would mean that I would only need one salvage bin, as it just seems silly to stash more than that. It's not like you can't just run a AE mission or two and get exactly what Uncommon and Rare salvage you need for a recipe, and take a few "Random Common" rolls until you get what you need.

As for storing recipes, I've been kind of "meh" on this. I mean you can craft any recipe you want into an anhancement and store that, with three exceptions: Costume Piece Recipes, Temp Power Recipes and Respec Recipes. And two out of that three are Vendor Trash!
Please don't get me wrong. I wish they'd up the amount myself. I wish they left the amount what first was back in I9 beta. If I remember correctly we could store 150 in a bin or was that the vault?

I'm just reminding people how much we lost when they changed the amounts on the bins. It's easy for vets to forget and newer people don't realize what we used to have.

Add in alts that could also hold 80, vault, and WW stacks too, just how much does a player need? Even with tons of alts that want IOs, they bring even more capacity to store salvage.

I have crafters on blue and red and salvage is never an issue. I can keep my SG enhancement bins maxed out whenever I feel like crafting. Place some bids, come back the next day and all the salvage I need is there. Another "quirk" for me is that I plan out the IOs for my toons in advance and spend an evening crafting in advance. The IOs for my current projects (stalker and brute) have been done for some time while I waited for GR to come out. As I level up, I just hop in the base, grab the IOs, and go.

And not that is has any impact to the OP and is only a comment about my style of playing, but I have a salvage bin in each SG (red/blue) for holiday salvage only. Outside of those salvage, all my toons together have a grand total of zero salvage stored. I either craft when I need it or just sell. So adding more bins or storage space does nothing for me. Is that common or unique, no idea, but I just can't see any reason to add more storage.

As for recipes, never supported that, especially now with email.
Well said Penny. Thanks to the new email feature we now have the potential of storing around 31,680 pieces if IO salvage on our characters.

    Isolate Farming?

Inflation is also a factor which stems from the fact that there aren't enough inf sinks in the game. There was over 300 trillion inf sitting in the game before the market went live.

They weren't sharing information. They were trying to keep what they've been doing under wraps for as long as possible. That isn't sharing.

Turbo and his friends may have best intentions in this endeavor but they admitted that they wouldn't have told us this much if the news hadn't broken before they intended to say anything.

If you are going to make a family analogy then the correct thing to say is that families keep secrets from each other when they think it's in the best interest of other family members, and sometimes (like now) it backfires and causes turmoil.

    Answer
The subscription fees you pay for City of Heroes, City of Villains, Lineage, Lineage II and Aion are used for the following:

    • A full-time development team that is constantly updating the game with new features to make gameplay more exciting.

Notice how they don't promise that any new content and features will be added for free? There's no mention of free content.

    Quote:
Guild Wars does not require a subscription fee. The game was built from the ground up with that factor in mind. The Guild Wars model, offering a new chapter in the Guild Wars saga every six to nine months, will sustain the game and enable us to support the free online play.

Even when they specifically mention Guild Wars they go out of their way to explain that the only thing free there is that they don't have a subscription fee. You pay for all the content.

i think the salvage base bins should be the same storage size as the other storage options (ie, hold 100 pieces)
While I would definitely love to see the IO salvage storage amount increased, it's pretty obvious that the devs don't agree with us. I know everyone is tired of seeing the hoarding explanation trotted out each time this gets brought up but it doesn't change the fact that it's true.

We went from being able to store 2500 items in each bin to 30, so it's blatantly obvious that they are limiting what we can keep in bases.

You make it sound like I'm ordering everyone to stop farming because I don't like it.
Yes actually that is exactly what you are saying. You already have an option available to you but you are CHOOSING to ignore it and instead are trying to impose your personal playstyle upon everyone else. Nothing is stopping you from using Galaxy City which serves the same purpose as Atlas Park. There's only one thing you can do in Atlas Park that you can't do anywhere else and that is pay base rent.

Wents? You don't need to go there. IO salvage doesn't start dropping until after reaching level 4 and by then you can wait the 10 minutes it takes to hit level 5 and go to Kings Row like everyone else.

Face it, the truth of the matter is that Atlas Park is the games social hub where heroic players get together to meet and do various in game activities from farming to costume contests. And your suggestion would turn it into a snobby Country Club just so you can weed out the people that enjoy an aspect of the game you've taken an irrational dislike to.

    So in summation:

    /unsigned

    GO USE GALAXY CITY
  9. Seeing what Turbo has said I'm willing to take a wait and see position. Tho I must admit I'd still like a rough idea on what is being put on their list.

If you don't like what they actually push for (or get), then scream for their heads and form up a posse. I'll light the torches for you.

Otherwise, why waste the energy when so many people have had discussions with the devs in the past that went absolutely nowhere?

Are some of you just angry that after all this time of being ignored, someone other than you figured out how to talk to the devs in a manner that got them interested enough to take those talks at least semi-seriously? Are some of you afraid that your own pet projects for bases will be overlooked now because someone else is talking to them instead?

Seriously, the cat's out of the bag, and everyone knows that those three are talking to the devs now. Ball's in their court now to tell us what their agenda is, not for the rest of us to complain that they might actually succeed in getting something done.

The problem with secret committees is that any one can form them and go behind everyones backs with their own agendas. It wouldn't be hard for a group (or several groups) of people pissed off at what we are now learning is going on to contact the devs and tell them that the group they have been talking to does not represent the base building community and put forth their own agenda(s) of what needs to be done.

So which committee should the devs believe? The first one or one of the others that is denouncing them? The only thing they will know for certain is that the first group doesn't represent anyone but themselves. If they did there wouldn't be other groups claiming otherwise.

I suppose back when that book was taking place there wasn't doors and locks were much easier to breach. There far less security to get past. There was less records and accountability.

Let's assume first you can wear clothes while invisible and make objects you're holding invisible.(Like Sue Richards of fantastic Four power set.) Otherwise the invisible man package where you have run around naked make use of your powers blows. I'd have move to a much warmer climate to make use of it than the Midwest.

Sure you could steal stuff then but there's probably more effective ways of making money off it than that. (like rigging sports events or the Lotto hehe.) So you have your mountain of cash. Where's the immediate need to go be evil? You can buy everything you want legally in the eyes of the world. With that sort of bank roll you can attract more than enough interest from the opposite sex without needing to force anything. You've won at life and still have the perks of super powers.

Am I missing something that's really so awesome about being evil in this scenario? Outside of just making lots of other people unhappy because you've gone around graping and pillaging or just skipped all that grief for the world and just fake success then take it all outright.

Unfortunately our prisons are filled to overflowing with people that would love to use invisibility to commit crime. The only limits to what crimes they could attempt to commit would be their imaginations or lack thereof.

In reference to the bolded bit above: I think the problem some people are running into was that the endeavor was started without any discussion or input from this section of the game population that it claims to represent. There shouldn't have been a leak "before they were ready to announce it," because it shouldn't have been a secret in the first place. They're running into the problem of -> what happens if we don't want to be presented with fait accompli?
    This emphatically this.

I have a real gorram problem with the idea of secretive shadowy people wanting to represent me behind my back and without my permission.

Make a survey or something up with a list of the people that want to be on the committee and let us vote on who we want representing us.

Because some people love this game and are intelligent enough to realize that anything that generates more money means the devs will have more resources available to improve and expand the game. More sales also means the game will be profitable longer. As long as the game is turning a profit, the less likely NCSoft will shut it down. Just look at what happened to Dungeon Runners, Auto Assault, and Tabula Rosa when they stopped making money.

Furthermore we already know for a fact that Booster sales have sped up the release of more than one free issue since they went on sale.
