If that were true you wouldn't be spamming SG invites in the first place. The only thing keeping you from getting hit by the ban stick sooner is the simple fact that most people will ignore/1 star you rather than petition you.
Sooner or later tho you'll stumble across people who are willing to file petitions and a GM, after looking at the way you spam invites in rapid succession, will take some sort of action. Probably flagging your account and giving you a warning the first time, but if he sees you behaving like you said you did in your first post he may skip that and go to something more severe like a temp suspension. -
Not everyone has the same point of view on the subject. Ultimately the final decision is up to the devs.

You may be right that were getting way more cuz I remember people claiming they were getting 2xp on the last double xp weekend.
-
Quote:One could also ask why should the devs reward a few players that use the exploits, or tempt normally innocent players into breaking the exploitation rules by running a 2xp weekend before these exploits are fixed and then punishing them for being weak.I never understood why this could be a reason not to have Double XP weekends. *shrugs*
Think of it this way: At best the only thing that 2 days of 2x XP could do for ANYONE (whether they are exploiting some kind of AE trick or not) is allow them to do in 2 days what ANYONE could normally do in 4 days. Sure it's cheesy that anyone could be taking advantage of an AE exploit regardless. But if those people are doing that anyway what would it really matter if they get to do it "faster" for 2 days? Why should everyone get screwed out of the chance for a Double XP weekend just to "indirectly punish" a few people exploiting the game?
So I'd much rather wait until after the AE is fixed. -

Quote:Yikes. I don't have Mac or an EU account so I didn't know the EU players/MAc users didn't have a server status link on their updaters. I hope on of our EY brothers/sisters can help you get this straightened out. There is no server status for the European servers and there is no such button in (mac OS X) updater. Could anyone answer my question, please?

Remember back when Posi said this?
Quote:I remember after they nailed the exploiters how a few of them raged while everyone else applauded the GM's actions.Originally Posted by Positron
Players that have abused the reward system egregiously may lose benefits they have gained - leading up to and perhaps including losing access to the characters power-leveled in this fashion.
Players who knowingly use an exploit when creating an arc, run the risk of having access to MA suspended, or worse- depending on the severity of the action, their account banned.
Players who have a story arc banned for any reason, will have it continue to use up one of their publishing slots. Players will NOT be able to unpublish this slot without Customer Services help. This sets up a three strikes and youre out policy. If an individual gets three story arcs banned, they will no longer be able to publish since their slots will all be used up with banned arcs. -
You can always click on the server status button at the top of the updater in the middle and check for yourself. Hope that helps.

Quote:If moving a show that's struggling to keep and gain an audience to a night where it airs opposite some of the most popular shows on TV isn't Sifee's fault then who is responsible for it? Underpants Gnomes? Barbara Streisand? GW Bush? And once again, that's not SyFy's fault. Personally, I don't think the writing is bad at all, but considering we've disagreed on everything so far....
Face it your just getting a kick out arguing with someone. -
The pervs act the way they do regardless of whether or not their avatars are anatomically correct so that isn't a valid excuse not to do it, and there's a simple solution to preventing "naked" man/woman. Just change the color palette so skin tone and costumes don't match up. They already limit color selections with power color customization.
-
And the last time any television network based their decisions on your personal interests was never. If SGU is going to survive the writing needs to improve so it attracts a larger audience.
-
Quote:Even if Sifee doesn't have anything to do with the horrible writing, they is responsible for choosing when to air it, and putting it opposite the popular Tuesday night lineup isn't going to increase the shows ratings, so scoff all you want. That's an interesting theory you have, considering that SyFy has nothing to do with the show's writing. I believe that places you as the "Strawstuffer" under the show's Fan Dumb.

Quote:I thought I was the only one that wanted to tap Janeane Garofalo. I'd even give her cab fare so she could go home after.Cute wins over Hot any day for me. But then I'm the guy who watched The Truth About Cats and Dogs and wanted to date Janeane Garofalo right from the off. Hey ho.

There's also the fact that the GM's have been pretty great about getting missing items back to people that reported them lost. So why waste time getting upset unless they get told they are SOL.

Quote:I know no such thing because I have not seen any posts by the devs saying that every single character existing before I19 goes live will need to do a respec. If you have information from the devs that states that then please provide a link so that we can confirm it.I think that any characters already in existance at the time that I-19 hits will need to use a respec (or frespec) to bring in inherent Fitness.
So you can certainly start characters now, but you will still need to respec low level characters to get inherent Fitness. (You probably knew that, but it wasn't clear from your post.)
As far as I know the only characters that will need to do a respec are the ones that have already chosen and slotted at least one of the powers from the Fitness set. And to the best of my knowledge, characters that haven't chosen any Fitness powers will simply log in after I19 goes live and find that 4 new powers have been added to the inherent list under Brawl, Sprint, and Rest.
Why do I think that? Because I didn't have to do a respec when they gave us Walk. I also didn't have to respec when other powers were added to my inherent list like my Vet Reward Temp Powers, or the inherent powers from the boosters and new editions like Ninja Run, Mystic Fortune, Mission Teleport, etc.
And you can't point at the fact that the devs are giving every character respecs as proof because the devs have always given every character a freespec when they make changes to powers. Even when only one power or powerset was affected they still gave everyone freespecs whether they needed it or not. -
Quote:It's all a matter of perspective and definition. As implemented, it's as though turning off XP means you're doing stuff where you don't learn anything new, but patrol XP means that because of stuff you character did when you were offline, they learn new things faster, when there's something new to learn.
I'm not defending it or anything. I just don't think it's abundantly clear that the toggle for not earning XP should/has to mean that you can't (somehow) improve how fast you earn XP when you earning start again.
In the interest of disclosure, I want Patrol XP to work as it does now. I turn off XP only to prevent myself from outleveling content. That means I only disable it at the threshold of every fifth level, when necessary. When I turn it back on, I am happy to speed faster to the next 5-level threshold, since it gets me five more levels of power picks and slots.
I understand what your saying, I just never gave it any thought. I assumed that toggling XP off affected everything. That assumption was why I couldn't understand why the OP wnated another toggle. It seemed like we'd be asking to duplicate something that already existed.
Personally I rarely use the XP toggle. I do have a couple of characters whose concept is that they are defenders of a particular zone so I turned off XP once they were high enough to fight in that zone. Kind of like the Daredevil movie where he patrols Hell's Kitchen. But I never bothered to check Patrol XP once I turned off XP on those alts. -

Quote:This is my impression of y'all which only seems fair. This morning a bunch of people encountered something chaotic which they did not get. So they did what on every post every day. The guy who constantly degrades others and crows about how better he is put a post saying exactly that. The guy who posts funny links all the times did his standard funny link post. I could have posted anything but funny link guy desperately need a reason for the funny link. I'm better than you guy needs to declare himself better. Several of you admit you have no idea what you read but then posted a reason for schlepping out your standard response.
This company could have a great release or a terrible release but thats all irrelevant. Funny link guy will be posting funny links either way. I'm better than you guy will be same old same old. None of you will ever evolve or change. As such you no longer interest me. We have talked once and I have seen the reply I will always get from you.
Roleplayers are great. They are fun to group with. They come up with new ideas from nothing or constantly. I can run the same mission 5 times and have a new experience each time.
Power Levelers are great. Every time this game changes they adapt and become something new. Even though they claim they have one mission to repeat I have noticed they are always paying attention. They keep an eye out for some new tweak or tidbit of information they may have missed. One little thing can be magnified to become some new cavalcade of experience.
How I feel about these two groups of people was never important. An excuse for you to be the person you will always be was all that was important.

Quote:I was hoping for something more akin to Predators but it looks cheesy enough to be fun to watch.

Well I have to admit then that I feel that when you turn off XP it should include turning off Patrol XP. To me it doesn't make sense that we still earn patrol xp when we are set our toggles to block off all XP gain.
-
At least they didn't use any stock footage like some of the old spaghetti westerns that all have the same Indian getting shot off his horse in each movie. And how many times did the original BSG show the same Cylons getting blown up in the starfighter battles?

Quote:Doesn't surprise me. After all we also have Cowboys vs Ninjas coming out in The Warriors Way.Cowboys and Aliens. not vs....
Much better looking than you'd think.

So why not a movie about Cowboys and Aliens?
Anythings better than Skyline. Except maybe thparklee vampires. -
Am I the only one that misread the title as Edible Pets?

Candied Bacon-Chocolate Chunk Cookies
adapted from The Great Book of Chocolate

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks (Chips are fine.)
1 cup Candied Bacon Bits (recipe follows)

3. Using a small cookie scoop or a teaspoon, scoop the cookie dough into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter, and place them 2 inches apart on each of the baking sheets.
4. Bake for 14-16 minutes, or until pale golden brown. Rotate sheets halfway through baking for even browning. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
The cookies can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for 3-4 days, if they last that long!
Makes about 3 dozen 2-inch cookies.
