Too early to say. We don't know the frequency or schedule that seed ships are programmed to return to Destiny.

    Quote:
if several suddenly show within a few hours of her signal i'd have to wonder how many seed ships were sent and what small galaxy they converted to make them.
Have you actually considered how much resources are in a "small galaxy" or how large the seed ships are?

    According to the SGU wiki:

    http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Destiny

the Destiny is 2450 feet long and 1700 feet wide. That's roughly about 1 1/2 times the length of a modern Supertanker while the width is about the same as a supertanker's length.

    While the seed ships are

    http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Seed_ship

    Quote:
The seed ships have the same basic shape as Destiny, but are only about half the size in dimensions and third of the mass
making them roughly 1225 feet long and 850 feet wide, which is the roughly the same length of a supertanker while the width is equal to the length of a battleship. So dozens of seed ships if not hundreds could easily be built with the resources of a single planet.

Sarcasm aside, we have no idea how many seed ships the ancients sent out ahead of Destiny. Common sense says it would be more than a few just to make sure enough survived (barring unforseen mishaps) to complete the journey. It's very unlikely that there are several that close to Destiny to be sumoned remotely or even in time to be of any assistance. Then again with the poor writing of the show anything is possible.

While it might be a good idea I doubt the writers are going to go that route.

I'd much rather a zone event where we have to shoot down Santa's sleigh for not registering a flight plan and producing a cargo manifest.

No. The aliens were supposed to ba taking the Destiny to a relatively safe spot to finish repairs to their FTL. Instead they took them directly to the enemy fleet. This wasn't an "OOPS! We accidentally stumbled across a patrol" They dropped out of FTL right in front of the enemy flagship.

Second. Let's just forget that the aliens hijacked and stole the seed ship long before they knew humans were onboard the Destiny. Their plan from the get go was to comandeer and use Destiny for their own purposes and to hell with it's mission.

Third. When the aliens learned the Destiny was damaged they didn't hesitate to resort to deceit and trickery to get the Humans to agree to their mission with absolutely no regard for the humans lives.

Of course the Devs could just make groups Co-Op and I'll shut the hell up.

Yeah I find it annoying myself. I wish they'd at least give us an explanation as to why it's limited to only 1 item per email. If theres a technical reason then it's possible they may increase the amount in the future once it's fixed. If it's a reason similar to why we can only pull 10 enhancements from a build . . . I may not like it but hopefully in time they'll change their minds and let us send multiple items.
  7. I'm looking at inherent fitness like this. It allows me to grab 4 more minor powers that I normally wouldn't put more than one enhancement in anyway to round out my characters.
  8. NCIS was a rerun so I watched SGU tonight. Wasn't a bad episode. Not happy with these mid season breaks. This kind of scheduling BS is what causes people to lose interest in shows and get interested in something else while the original show is off the air.

I did not respec at GR, or in October, or last Thursday, because I wanted a fully functional build up until Fitness went inherent. I wanted to be able to do a Task Force on Saturday, if I so desired. I wanted to be able to run a Hami raid on Sunday.

I am taking advantage of Fitness going inherent to finalize my build on my main. This involves a heavy amount of IO's to be resold (or stored, or what have you), and a heavy amount to be purchased (or taken out of my SG bin, or what have you). I didn't want to respec, pull off ten IOs, then have a partially-slotted character at GR. Then, respec again, pull another ten IO's off, and so on.

I'm not whining about insufficient space, I know that this was my choosing, and I will burn whatever respecs I have, and will craft a respec recipe if I must.

It's great that you were proactive and began respeccing months ago, and kudos! But please don't say that what I (or any other player) chooses doesn't meet your justification.

That's fine but I haven't seen you posting complaints that you have 40, 50 , 100+ characters and no time to do all the respecs. The people doing that had plenty of time to use the GR freespecs to get the majority of those characters ready for today, then they could finish up the ones they were actually playing at a more relaxed pace.

On a side note who said you had to play a partially slotted character? If you wanted you could have easily filled the empty slots with SO's. Character's don't become unplayable just because you aren't using IO's.

Procrastination isn't a justifiable excuse. I've been ready for I19 for a month because I used the freespecs we got with GR to get my characters ready for I19. I pulled off all the stuff I had slotted in Fitness on 80+ characters for reslotting when it goes inherent.

I think it's a rather vocal minority myself. I don't really see as how I will be changing any of the ENHANCEMENTS in my build, just respec'ing, where necessary, to include a few additional powers I couldn't fit into the build before.
That's the thing, the only characters that actually need a respec are the characters close to 50. They can't add new slots or powers since everything has been selected. The lower level characters can simply pull the fitness enhancements and start tossing the slots back into the build at the next level that allows slots to be added.
  11. They gave us freespecs when GR went live, so we had plenty of time to go thru our characters (just like I did with the 80+ characters I have on just my main account) to get them ready for when Fitness went inherent. Procrastination is not an excuse.

If you had to burn two respecs in order to pull 2 enhancements off of one character to slot on another then you are grossly incompetent at respeccing or this is a bald faced lie. We can pull 10 enhancemnts off of a build at a time. You would have been able to pull a total of 20 enhancements off of a character using 2 respecs.

No the OP wants to reuse enhancements he slotted on other characters. Simply changing a single power is easily accomplished using the current respec system since the most a single power can only have 6 slots at most and we can pull 10 enhancments off of a build per respec.

This is the real gripe the OP has.

    Quote:
I have often had to burn several respecs to take IO's off one character to invest in another character.

The OP is just going to have to deal with it just like everyone else does because everytime the devs get asked to increase the number of enhancements we can pull during a respec they have told us "No." and explain that they were being generous when they decided to let us pull 10 off of a build.

    WORKING AS INTENDED

The Fitness power set disappears when choosing powers and reappears when you start the slotting phase of the respec. Stop panicking and simply continue doing your respecs and you will see what you have been told is true.
  15. Greed. Plain and simple. This happens every time there's a change in the powers. Some people want to rip everything out of their characters and start over from scratch, or they decide to completely change their builds in a way that will cause them to have to sacrifice some of the enhancements they currently slotted.

Now that won't mean much where the primary and secondary powersets are concerned but it can mean a huge difference where the power pools are concerned. Enhancements for fitness won't fit in Leadership for example. And if they decide to grab a few extra powers from those sets (We can have up to 4 different power pools, 5 if we include the epic/PP sets) that can really change how all the powers are slotted because we didn't get extra slots. (except the free ones that come with Fitness going inherent)

I planned ahead and went thru all my characters prior to I19 and used the freespec we got with GR to pull out the extra enhancements I would have lost had I not planned ahead for today so I find this nerdrage hilarious.

Munki is a praetorian that I haven't played nearly as long, so his badge total is much lower.

    It's actually kinda irritating.

Thanks now I have this mental image of a Munkifarm where all I can see from horizon to horizon is rows and rows of your head growing out of the ground.

Then along comes a farmer in a big John Deere tractor to harvest them.

  17. Enhancements are permanent once slotted. We even get a pop up message that says that when we slot them. Furthermore every time someone asks a dev why we can't pull more off of a build during a respec they are told that the devs were being generous when they decided to let us pull 10 off of a respec, and if we want to pull more we need to use more respecs.
  18. I already own all the boosters I'm interested in.

In addition to what Oedipus Tex and Schismatrix have said, we are free to repeat the same AE missions as often as we want. If the devs were against farming they would have designed it so we could only do each mission once after it was published.

There's also the fact that the devs have implemented other features that encourage farming and PLing. Like the Mentor/sidekick, super sidekick, and Oroborous features

So when people claim that the devs hate farming/Power leveling in conjunction with AE exploits it's all just smoke and mirrors to confuse the issue.

Good for you, but the issue is exploits not farms. You can farm till you're blue in the face. If the devs were against farming they'd simply make missions non-repeatable by adding timers.

Just because all exploits get farmed does not mean that all farms are exploits.

The exploit abusers tried to hide amongst the legitimate farming population last year and scare them into thinking the devs hated farming. The farmers weren't stupid enough to fall for it then and they aren't falling for it now.
