  1. Developers! It's be great if you could make it possible for collection items to appear or not be collected until you satisfy another objective. Example "Defeat Boss" Condition Satisfied, " Now "Search Boss's Computer" Appears. I know it would make my life a lot easier at times.
  2. Try my 3 Arc Long Story and see:

    Of Liberty and State
    Part 1 : #218636
    Part 2 : #218638
    Part3 : #218648

I know... shameless plug, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

And to answer your question? From a writer's perspective, sometimes 5 missions is too short to tell the kind of story you'd like to tell. Taking the time to write a cohesive story from beginning to end means taking advantage of what's available to you. Sure it may be long... but at least the story will make sense!

Oh yes. One point I wanted to add. The endgame Arcs sure aren't 5 Missions long. From that standpoint alone, perhaps and Arcs designed for 45+ players should be 2 or more slots long.
  3. Primetime TV is kind of borderline nowadays. Actors swear, mention parts of the anatomy, get sliced and diced and show their underwear. If I had to rate Prime Time TV I'd rate it PG-13. So is this the same way here?
  4. We're supposed to keep our AEs relatively clean I suppose, but what is a clear boundary for what is acceptable and what is not? I'm not suggesting writing pornographic material for instance, but is putting mild suggestions and/or suggestive themes ((including alcohol?)) ok? What line do the mods take with content?
  5. Just wondering if there is a Wiki for StoryArcs. It would be a good place to look up Arcs or post general information about Arcs. If there is such a place, mind giving me directions?
  6. Maybe with long time players, they could offer a vet Award that allows you have an extra Arc slot.
  7. I for one am glad. After making a 3 part epic that took up all of my spaces, I get the chance to make more stuff for people to play. I know I would use them too, because I have so many great ideas and 3 slots simply does not do any justification. I'm sure many people agree with me.

There is the argument that the Ae will bogged down with even more "farms" or "less then mediocre stuff", but you have to take the good with the bad.

I hope they implement it soon... I have a great new "TV Show" I'd like to publish.
  8. I knew it. He ran into Ghost Widow. What is it with slinky pasty white faced girls with dark eyelids and skintight black tights?
  9. Haven't seen a reply from Death Bug? Maybe he ran into Ghost Widow?

    Anyway here is an ad:
    Of Liberty and State Ad
  10. Only time ((and playing Part2 and 3)) will tell.

The Arc description says EBs/AVs are going to be present in the Arc. You do have a warning the missions might contain one, or more.
  11. Ok here, try mine out.

    Of Liberty and State

    Part 1 : #218636
    Part 2 : #218638
    Part3 : #218648

    Alignment: Heroic
    Meant for 45+ characters.
Each part is 5 missions long. It is a very long and story-oriented Arc. Since it is really one "Large Arc" I'll refer to them all the same way. There are AVs in it, but the difficulty scales, they'll be EBs if you solo. Most of the time you'll have an Ally with you whenever you fight them.
Enemies: Arachnos, Custom Group, Longbow, Freakshow, Arachnoids.
Mission Description: A story about Paragon City's premier Superhero family. Caught in between this feud might be the least of your worries. Arachnos is up to something large and it's up to you to unravel Recluse's dark plans. But can you all succeed with something far more precious is at stake?!

Here's my Review of Teen Phalanx Forever!

This was honestly one of the most enjoyable arcs I've played yet. The dialogue was great, the premise was original and the missions and enemy plots were downright funny. This arc is designed for solo play. You get an AV/EB for every mission play. While that might sound daunting, the premise is teamwork, so it's not hard to fight them, ((The Clamor fight is a little bit harder.))

Each mission is really it's own separate story, with the last two being a 2-Parter.

The only odd thing I can think of is it forces your character to not be your character and describes you as a younger version of yourselfm being forced into a role or describing you as something you may not be. Honestly you can just ignore that aspect and enjoy the arc, or you can just play it as a Teen superhero.

    I recommend it though. 5/5
  12. [ QUOTE ]
I have 2 out of 3 of my missions done for my Arc, and would like to get some feedback before moving on the the 3rd and final mission. I'm looking for any feedback from spelling and grammer errors, to overall enjoyment and fun factor. The # is 214935. Thank you.

To be honest with you, I ran for the nearest exit as soon as I saw the enemies. I'm level 50 and had to deal with level 54Purples.... all luets. Not my idea of fun at all. Plus from what I saw there were alot of spelling errors. Wasn't feeling it there dude.
  13. Come on guys, give this arc a playthrough. I don't think it will bore you. PLus, I want some input!

I'm probably going to take it down for spelling revisions ((i caught some playing it today)) But if anyone catches something I missed, I would appreciate it.
  14. Alright Here we go:

    Compass text:

    Mission1
    Protestors to talk "too".
Conversations need sprucing up. Try for different dialogue.
    Clue - Misspelled Word "There".
Tidy up Success Return Text - Insert some commas.

    Mission2
Tidy up Intro Text. Lots of spelling and punctuation errors.
    Compass Text "Investigate"

    Mission3
    Intro Text- Spelling Errors
    Stane "The Man" Lee ?
Storm trooper Dialogue: "We have Fallen"
    Stan's Dialogue - "Exactly"
Success Pop up- "Shorter in real life then on T.V."

    Mission 4

    Intro Dialogue
I have a hero liscense. Why do I need to get authority?
    Collection Objectives need text
    Success Objective Spelling Errors

    Here's my Overall Impressions:
Custom Characters were well done. You really made all the characters look like they were from Star Wars or were Superhero fans. I would have liked to see a bit more though. Maybe the Storm Troopers could have had some Empire guys or some different types thrown in.
Speaking of which although the enemies are minions, I feel they do too much damage. I was literally getting half to 3/4ths my life taken away with every group. That being said, with custom groups, it's hard to minimize damage. Custom enemies tend to have a large range of sight and do more damage then they should. So I don't really blame the players for their difficulty.
This arc needs some definite spelling and punctuation corrections. It's really bad as you can see from up above. I would have given it another star had it not been so bad.

Last, it might be nitpicking, but this arc could seriously get removed because of License issues. NcSoft Generics Hero Names and such, so you run the risk of the arc being pulled. Just letting you know. I didn't let that influence the score however.

Oh one more thing... Add a Darth Vader Boss to defeat in Mission 4. *wink *wink*

    3/5.
  15. Ok I Reviewed your Arc and will post the actual Review in your Feedback thread.

If anyone would like to review my Arc I'd be grateful. Oh yes... by the way, this Arc is in three parts. But You don't have to do them all if you don't feel up to it. However, I'm pretty sure at the end of the first Arc, you'll be wondering what happens next.

  17. The term is used quite frequently here. I assume it refers to the Virtue Forums?
  18. It randomly resets the scales of your custom characters if you try and change things other then the scales. Or it can make your characters extremely short too. It's annoying.
  19. Don't be resetting my scales just because I want to change the character's difficulty setting.
  20. When a person rates something, Their global should be issued rep or something so you know the person's voting habits.
  21. I was thinking about it and you know what my answer to the farm issue is?

People can do it anyway via the Custom Character Mode. So if they added this group, for the sole purpose of saying "hey look, it's here for story purposes only" and not for Farms, then they could add it in.

Edit: Oh well Eve already made my point. However this topic deserves another go round.

    Devs! What do you think?
  22. So the farms win again huh? Too bad they have to limit certain things that could add depth to a storyline (( MA being intended for that purpose)) just cause people need to find the fastest way possible to level up. (( and you have to wonder what the hurry is anyway. ))

They could find some way to bring these characters to the MA though... maybe give them minion status as well?

I can go through custom character, but there are certain costume parts signature heroes carry that is not available in costume maker.
  23. Nah. I actually need her Mom. They both look different.
  24. Yeah I need to use Miss. Liberty in my Arc (( that be the first one)) but you don't have that enemy group listed in the MA anywhere. Custom characters might be the way to go, but I wish you hadn't of overlooked this group guys. Make my life a lot easier.
