Quote:Try the NCSoft store.Could find no mention of it on the front page, or on the Buy Now link, and couldn't track down any way to purchase it.

We in the Screenshots and Fan Creations forum have been doing this or a while now on the test server.

Quote:That's not a bad idea. It's not like the world would seem empty, either, what with all the random citizens walking around. This gives me an idea - why not disappear ALL contacts in the game unless you've been introduced to them, or they can be interacted with directly. That way, I don't have to see zillions of people I don't know standing around with circles around their feet, and should make for a more immersive environment. It would also make it feel less like they spend their entire lives with their shoes nailed to that one particular spot.
Meanwhile, yeah, I absolutely agree with the occasional-shady-contact idea. I was disappointed that you couldn't do that in the first place. -

I suppose that's possible, but his wording made it seem like he somehow meant something else.

Quote:Huh. And me with the name "Double-Dealing Diva" among my list of characters. There was even that second version of the game show where they ran out of geography questions and made her a time traveler so they could ask about history isntead...Something about this outfit makes me think of Carmen Sandiego but in yellow, and without the hat.
Right when I was hurting for a fourth costume, too! -
Quote:Because the Bridal top, gloves, and shoes all show skin. Unfortunately, the way the City of Heroes costume part coloring system works, skin has to be treated as a second color... the way the game handles costume coloring would have to be rebuilt from the ground up to allow for skin to show on a two-color skintight costume piece, not just the chest. This is also why you can't have two colors as well as skin showing on the Roman bracers and greaves. This may be the one costume issue that drives me the most crazy. The wedding pack is an excellent example: why oh why can the bridal skirt be two colors but the exact same design up top can be only one?
Quote:I have used a second color on the skirt exactly never when I'm matching it with the top. Why would I? So then why have a second color be possible on the skirt?
EDIT: Sorry for the double post, I actually forgot I'd posted in this thread like ten seconds ago. I need coffee. -
Quote:Sexism? Wait, what?between the colorizing issues, the unabashed sexism, and the time limit on the travel power this is going to be the first costume pack I will not be buying.
Seriously guys, enough with the sexism. Despite the Victorian age style of this pack, we do not living in the Victorian age. -
Playing around gave me this neat modern-JRPG look. -
Like Sam's Kim, my AR/Devices blaster on Triumph, Ela'Raaya vas Jeywhu, is also an alien in a hazard suit - as any Mass Effect fan can see:
I figure as long as I never mention the word "Quarian" in her bio, she should be fine. -
I've determined it was probably something to do with the memory of my computer rather than CoX itself, as it works now and I didn't do anything.

So I just got back from school for the summer, which means I've got my good desktop computer back instead of the laptop that constantly overheats. Having been away for months, I had to update my client, including the NC launcher which wasn't installed yet. I got my game updated, it says "Ready To Play," and I can get as far as server selection before things shoot to hell - I click on a server, and receive a black screen. The game window can still be resized, and even more notably I can still click on the screen and it responds with sound effects depending on where my invisible cursor lands in its giant black field, so this suggests something is up with graphics. This has not ever been a problem on this machine before - prior to today, it ran Ultra Mode no problem, so I think something has gone wrong with my .pigg files when they were being downloaded.
How can I fix this?
EDIT: Training Room works fine, in case it's relevant. -
Mach Mechanica pilots a giant robot. Here is the robot's head:
Also, a shout-out to my friend's character Psi-Dome, who absolutely deserves a mention here. -
The Decor aura is a marked improvement IMO over Silverwing Sentinel's old Runes aura, and Illumineer's got a nice new plainclothes outfit:
-
A request: Can the costume parts that currently only take one color (male Victorian Steampunk sleeves, both pairs of male boots) please have the non-color-changeable details (buckles, trim) changed to take the secondary costume color?

So, a friend and I were talking about Kheldians over AIM. What, exactly, constitutes a body that can be used as a host? Is sentience required, or do they just need any non-objecting entity that can act as a quantum anchor and source of energy? Especially when you consider the conecpts of the Japanese kami and the North American manitou (objects have souls/natures), could such possessed objects be the explanation for some poltergeists?
Keeping this in mind... could the City of Villains Television, Radio, and Slot Machine contacts be Kheldian? -
-
That's pretty hilarious, Lachlin :P

Oh wow, fantastic work. Filling out application form now.
Introduce your character(s) for me: Oougel, a human/Soldiers of Rularuu hybrid escaped Arachnos experiment gone hero. She's possibly my favorite character ever. As yet, she is the only one of these characters who has a VirtueVerse page.
Zenith Fighter X, a deliberate anime stereotype. My first 50 hero, and a costume design I generally love.
The Illumineer, a time-displaced scientist who's much happier living in a world where she has the right to vote and the respect of her peers.
Show us a few in-game screenshots of your character(s): They wouldn't be much - I have a laptop with a fairly small screen. I do have this one of Zenith Fighter X though it's slightly outdated (she has the Vanguard sword now).
Now, if you have any previous art of them, show us that too!: This art of Oougel is the only one I've had done by someone else. I've drawn her myself twicce - one reference headshot and one full art. There is also a chibi Zenith Fighter that I have done. Nothing yet on Illumineer, though.
Any final words?: I'd stay and think of something but if I don't get ready for class RIGHT NOW I'll skip dinner and that would be very bad because I am in culinary school, and going to class with low blood sugar is an idiotic idea. -

You must not be one of those people who does things like skipping Lift on your Gravity controller because you've decided your powers are temporally-based and can't find a good explanation for how that could fling someone into the air, or playing a Forcefields/Electric defender to his mid thirties before rerolling not because he was terrible, but because Kinetics actually works just as well if not better for a guy who's supposed to be a time traveler.

I must have missed that. It certainly makes me happy to hear - seriously I would just about explode if I could match my Lore pets to my character's history.
