Quote:It's not outside the realm of possibility that in the 15 years the Earthlings have had since the first Martian attack they might have learned a thing or two from studying Martian technology. However within the same vien, assuming i accept that the story is taking place around the turn of the century, the weaponry and technology that humans are shown having in the trailer is still way out of date and way to advance for the time frame they are placing their story in, which is or was my bigger complaint after seening the trailer.

Quote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_war_of_the_worldsIs it wrong that the time frame of the movie even from the trailer already is bugging me.
First off, WotWs happened in the 50s if i am not mistaken maybe 40s??? But anyway the trailer mentions in the final years of the 19th century???

"No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water." -
The Fouke Monster, of course.

I've had a lot of fun running a Tactical Officer in a Cruiser at all levels of space-based PVP, but the most fun PVP for me is at the Lt Commander level, both in space and on the ground. IMO that's where it's all the most balanced and Science, Engineering, and Tactical are all fun to play.
Also had fun with the Alliance Battles and escorting/intercepting turtles over in the Jade Quarry. Fort Aspenwood is okay, but not as much fun (for me) as the quarry.
Bloody Bay is where you get Shivans.
Siren's Call... my 'anti-stalker' /dev blaster was TP'd into some sort of small building/enclosure and couldn't get out. Whee. But I kept at it. Then came I13.
Recluse's Victory... Isolator! ISOLATOR!! ISOLATOR!!!
So there. -
Quote:Survivor had an awesome season. (Man, Jeff *really* hates quitters, doesn't he?)
I thought I was the only one.
Here be some of my 2010 Bests:
Bestest TV show of 2010 (including reruns on Sleuth): House.
Bestest Musical Discovery: Talk Talk. Was only vaguely aware of them in the 80s, when I was mostly listening to The Doors, R.E.M., and Let's Active.
Bestest Comic Book: Power Girl. Good writing, good art, and I have not needed to buy any other book to follow the story. I'll take self-contained titles that only reference the comic book universe at large on rare occasions over ones prone to multi-title big event crossovers any day and twice on Sunday.
Bestest Personal Moment: Yelling at the neighbors on the north side for shooting bottle rockets in my yard after the neighbors on the south side set the fence row on fire with a Roman candle. Runner up: three very loud blasts from an old cow horn Blowing Horn out the front door to greet 2011, which brought about a full 15 seconds of stunned WTF silence from the north side neighbors before they carried on with their firecrackers. -
Other than having a few of my guys take on Lady Winter, I've not participated at all in this year's winter event and have in fact been absent for most of it. A slight case of the Ho Ho Humbug, as it were. I would not mind at all, however, if it was extended a bit for those still enjoying it.
Let the good times roll. Seylah! -
I suspect most, but by no means all, and possibly not even half - depending on which way the all but inscrutable non-forumites lean, of course - of the players playing this game would quite likely anticipate the bolded parts of your statement to most accurately reflect the potentially unhappy situation, as suggested by historical review and regardless of any inherent refragability, should the previously postulated application of diminishing returns be applied to PVE.

Guys, guys! Your advice is well-meant but you're doing it all wrong! Try it like this.
Ahem.
/Yoda Voice: This thread, show her never you must, mm-hmm. -
Quote:They could still do High Chaparral or The Monroes (the 1966 TV series, not the 1995 one).Known to be in the pipeline: The Big Valley.
I'll type that again: The Big Valley.
Hollywood has officially run dry, folks.
Ultimate Run Dry: a remake of the Gunsmoke spin-off, Dirty Sally. -
Kind of surprised no one has attempted a remake of M*A*S*H.

Quote:That's why I generally fly everywhere I go. It carries over, see.If you ran downhill at 35 miles per hour, it would probably hurt a lot even if you didn't fall...

And this time around they will use ACTUAL MANNEQUINS instead of flesh and blood actors, as the latter, even at their most soulless and sterile, exhibit too darn much emotion.
-
I eagerly anticipate the remake of The Lord of the Rings with Rosie Cotton squaring off against the Black Riders at the Ford of Bruinen!
Well. I do. -
The Dun dun duuunnn!!! from the Black Lagoon! -

Quote:It's TD: Teammate Diversification. That's exactly what PvP DR is. It's primary effect as implemented is to ensure that you basically never need more than one source of most buffs or debuffs, because one usually slams you into a region where adding another is essentially meaningless. Extra buffers/debuffers offering the same capabilities at that point can really only contribute their native damage, so you might as well bring someone else who does something different and/or offers better damage.
-
I like it when my heroes/villains take damage from running downhill! It makes me feel superior in RL because I don't take damage from running downhill unless I fall, but then again if I do fall in RL it hurts a lot more! So I guess it kind of balances out. Very Zen-y, isn't it?
-
I know, right? I mean, there was a time when I couldn't fly outside of the game. Or jump over my entire hometown in one fell... er... jump! Then came that fateful day when it carried over...
And things were never the same! -
This change is long overdue and it will save the game. Inviting people to team has been too easy for too long. Even with this change it's still ridiculously easy if you do it properly. Instead of getting all QQ-ey about it, just watch what you're doing and adapt. Heck, I can invite people to a team in less than 6 parsecs on an unslotted FF/Archery defender that I haven't even rolled yet. So there. L2I.

No temps used.
Apex time is longer because 1 member was completely lagged out and another was unable to enter last mission.
