Edit: If I fart and then I faint because of it does it stop smelling? It does 4d8 damage over 30 seconds. It shouldn't stop smelling or causing damage to my stupid cat if I'm not awake anymore.

You're assuming this happens a lot. I stated a fact from the very beginning and even put a lighthearted spin on it. Blizzard dissapears while in progress if the caster gets defeated.

Nowhere in this should the question of skill come into the picture or discussion. Instead there are insults and accusations being strewn about. And you have no idea what kind of player I am. But in the end it shouldn't even matter.

However for fun I'd be willing to put up your house (or box) that I'm a better player than you.

It's my fault for not being able to stay alive for 15 seconds. Because you know I get defeated a lot. I think I've only gotten one full Blizzard off out of 30 or so.

Not once did I say this happens a lot. The assumptions that I'm a poor player and should change my playstyle are absurd.

Here's a scenario just for some of you naysayers:

I'm on my ice kin. I hit FS, aim, ice storm and blizzard. THEN I want to pop a blue and transference off of a target that still has health.

As an example we'll use a nice juicy herd in the ITF, first mission at the altar you lead Sister Solaris to. A couple of the bad guys get in some lucky shots as I'm trying to get away after I tranference off of the Minotaur.

I at least want the satisfaction of my nuke finishing.

I shouldn't have to go this far to justify this and I probably should've just bugged it and not posted.

I simply disagree. If it's a limitation with the engine then they should fix the engine. A power like this should work how you'd expect it to work. That's common sense. This isn't a catchall post so I'd like to see every power that disappears when the caster is defeated be fixed where appropriate. Ice storm, sleet, oil slick, immobs, whatever makes sense.

Would you be happy if rage dropped all your toggles because it was a game engine limitation?

How about Lightning Rod being classified as a pet and only doing a maximum of 300% damage?

What about the email system that is so old and classified as legacy code that nobody wants to touch?

Should we just all nod our heads and say "yeah, game engine limitation"?

There are lots of things in this game that we shouldn't just settle for because it's too hard to fix or it's a limitation because of how this game is programmed.

Anyway this blizzard disappearing is minor in the grand scheme of things, it's just disappointing to see a beautiful nuke like it go away in the off chance the caster is defeated.

I get off a sweet fulcrum shift, build up, ice storm and nuke only to be defeated on the off chance I get stunned and beat down.

The defense numbers you posted are good. 45% is the soft cap I think so you have some extra headroom there.

I tend to take a beating on my elec/shield brute who is built with similar numbers so I took darkest night. It helps a bit.

Unless you have the Apocolypse already, that [censored] is expensive so you may want to use something else.

Darkest night is good thanks to the -21% damage so if you do get hit it hurts a bit less.

A DM/ELEC buzzsaw build is lots of fun. I have one of these.

Extremely effective moving from group to group and it feels fast as well.

It handles Carnies and Malta as well as COT and Council.

It sucks balls on the ITF however.
