I'm personally kind of gobsmacked that people are COMPLAINING about getting content MORE often. The complaint one usually hears in any MMO about how long the time is between any sort of content, update or addition and the next. We JUST had an expansion and 2 other (Complete GR and Party) boosters, and here's another one... and people are MAD we're getting so much stuff offered to us? I'm... I don't know what to say about it. It's not like you have to buy them all when they come out. But once they're available, it's always available!

-The Tarot Cards particle effects were done for the Magic Booster.
-Half the trees in Paragon drop leaves. I doubt it was much work make the particle effect emmit from the character and stick it in a menu.
And exactly why I'm thrilled they're finally letting me stick these things on my very own characters! I'm tired of envying NPCs and environmental effects! I know they have the tech to make it happy, I'm happy they're finally making it happen! Yay!

THIS and THIS ALONE would make ALL my costume dreams come true!" Or, "Please, oh, please, give me elbow poots, please?" (And the leaf cape and elbow poots are the only pieces I like in this booster) This is stuff I can find a half dozen other things to use that I already have, to produce the exact same effect. Well, maybe not the poots....
I have personally been asking for a leaf effect for years and years. The leaf aura ALONE would make me pay $10 for this pack (just like I paid for the mutant pack just for the wolf tail.) Add to that the leaf cloak, and I'm thrilled. My dryad plant/plant is going to put those on multiple costumes, and my faun will have a use for them as well.

And now my stormy can summon her magic using actual runes (combat aura - magic runes.)

And now my malfunctioning Clockwork unit can actually have sparks flying off her.

And now my steampunk armored Nemesis-from-another-dimension can actually have a steam-powered suit.

I could go on, but I'm sure you get my drift. Lots of us have been asking for EXACTLY these effects for quite a while. The fact we get them at level 1 and they can be combat-only or location-centered just adds icing to the cake.

That should not be the case, and i hope it is not. Being a villain never stopped me from wearing the Cape of the four winds, and Being a Hero never stopped me from wearing the Arachnos cape/chest emblem.

If that is the case, I will pass.
Yup, you're wrong! Ocho has confirmed that all capes and auras will be available to all origin characters, and all of them will be available at character creation.

I actually think that would be silly on their part. There should be at least a week or two between the booster and i19, IMO. Not because I want that (heavens no, I want i19 and this pack in the WORST WAY) but because they should realize by now that if they release stuff at the same time, they'll blur into a single blob in most customers' minds.
  6. I was all set to be as disappointed by an capes-an-auras-only pack. I didn't buy the Party Pack and was all set not to buy this one because I really want actual costume pieces, most of my characters don't wear capes or use auras...

However, after watching the video, I have at least 8-10 characters these auras and cloaks are PERFECT for and will really put the icing on their costumes.

I can't wait for November now... please be a bro and tell me it releases on the first, Ocho!

Ooooh, this. Too cruel to release the tease for this and then not let us have them!
  8. Dammit. I heard what was in it - cloaks and auras, so what! I want real costume addition! - and figured I was not picking that up, the same way I shunned the Party Pack.

    Then I watched the video...

And saw the leaf cloak and aura for my fauns and dryads...

The rune aura for my mage...

The sparking joints aura for my Clockwork...

The thunderhead aura for my Stormie...

    DAMMIT! MUST HAVE!

Those attacks suck like half your blue bar. They're great to have at first level, but you stay first level for what, five minutes? Tops?

I use those as soon as I make a new character, but the moment I have the option of three real attacks, I chuck them off. I keep one of the ranged attacks (Blackwand or Nem Staff, depending on if my character is magic or tech) for runners and otherwise I much prefer a much more end-efficient chain of the same powers available to everyone using that AT.

Within a considerably limited pallete, yes
  12. So if they've basically made base-PvP (theoretically) opt-in, thus negating the need for pathing to be kept clear, etc, why is there still a per-room limit on defense items for non-PvP bases?

The limit on slow field water effects has totally throttled one of my favorite bases

What is the use of having pretty and matching blasts if you're dumped into a game that's doesn't get improvements because the coders are spending time trying to get pool customization right and the content designers can't get time on their schedule?
Because my game is about my characters, their story, and who they are. The game is highly repetitive, and boring in a lot of ways. I've been here since i0 and only the constant improvements and additions to the game keep me able to bear the gameplay... but my characters always delight me. When my characters are wrong, I don't want to play.

I totally agree with this. It's so frustrating. I hate when they add half of something and make a big tease about how important it's going to be... and then it never shows up again. Argh.

    Because Kheldians aren't a powerset, they're a species.

    Agreed.

What would be awesome is a clicky option in the graphics menu where pets that aren't on your team don't even appear for you, and have no effect on you at all. I'd get rid of all the fat-*** demons pushing me around and screeching in WW in a heartbeat.

And yes, I say this even though my thugs MM uses his pets as an important part of his RP. Anyone who wants to RP with him can turn pets on for the duration.

The videos that have been released by the DCUO people showing the animations, attacks and gameplay of that game are more than reason enough to post against it. It looks like crap. I would walk about three steps through the tutorial, then log my lumbering lame bear of a character out and never play again.

    Kidnapped!

I'm pretty sure it was Nemesis, since some of the civvies seem to be Nem clones.

"Hey, it's that hero who defeated BOSS_NAME!"

    ...what?

They may all be the same species, but I doubt that they are all exactly the same shade of purple. As humans, we are a race of many colours, and I wouldn't be suprised if you can find mid-blue warshades, and mid-grey peacebringers.
I will totally change my vote to get on board for this suggestion I love it!
  19. 8 or 9. The golden pom-poms of doom on characters with all their other powers carefully matched REALLY bothers me. Not to mention the pink psi-bubbles on my Widow D:

HOWEVER. I give power customization a 0 on Kheldians. They don't choose their powers, that's a specific species more than an AT. I think they should stay as they are.
  20. All my characters can play this game! Nemesis Staff on any of the Hellions sitting on the edges of bridges and walls. You can cannonball them a REALLY long way, with their arms and legs flailing in the grip of our lovely ragdoll physics.

  22. Something I forgot...

Devouring Earth. Yup, that's right. Tentacle mouths and Devoured skin texture. Branches growing up out of the backs and shoulders. Total tree hair (not that whipped-back leaf stuff that is the ONLY option we have now!) and bark skin. There's been enough DE toxin dumped into the water by now and enough kidnapped civilians that didn't quite get rescued in time, I want the option to make more DE/dryad type characters.

I love that area too! The one mission where you fight longbow on that map is one of my favorites. Those little cabins! Awesome!

I actually zoned into Port Oakes via the VG teleporter and was standing next to a guy doing a damn good job of imitating a Vampyre. So good in fact that I immediately SJ'd away, figuring he was part of someone's ambush (I play with floating names off) before I realized he was just a player. Also, I bring my redcap pet out on Katie TFs >.>

    For my actual list:
Carnie costumes. Everything from the Fencer is top priority for me. I'd love the Illusionist dresses, but that probably falls under full-body stuff you won't give us D:

Masks: Skull, Tsoo, and Carnie. They don't have to be an exact match, just give us the ability to have the full-face porcelain mask and use the optional design elements. You'll be surprised by how we use them!

Sibyl costumes. Even if we don't get the "wavy" effect (though this would be a perfect opportunity to give the waist-cape to the rest of the non-widow population!) the design and the belt are excellent.

    Cimmoria chest straps and sandals.

Kheldian sash. I agree with whoever suggested all Khelds have access to this and everyone else gets it if they do Moonfire. This is the ONLY time I will suggest unlocking costume pieces, because I hate that, but it IS a signature piece to Khelds, and you get the "Honorary Peacebringer" badge for Moonfire.

Legacy trimmings. We can duplicate a lot of the Legacy Chain with the martial arts robes, but the chest/neck/shoulders, boots and helmet have no good analogue. Please gimme!

FASHION SHOW OUTFITS! Those things are awesome and they're just going to WASTE in that one mission!

Banished Pantheon Shaman. The primative loincloth, feather/palm leaf collar, the grass skirts, the arm and calf wraps, all of these please! A lot of us have Native/primative characters who would benefit enormously from these pieces!

Animal parts. Want a Beast booster without having to come up with a ton of new pieces? Snakes, Minotaurs and the Council/Fifth war-wolves are your template. All three of those look great, they have awesome heads, great skins, and heck, I'd love a release of the body types. You'd be surprised how happy this would make a lot of people, and how those pieces would get used!!
