  1. We ran a test run with all major sg's invited. The results showed there is only one decent sg.

All events are now for ALL-OUT-WAR members ONLY!

Devs, when you see this message erase all threads with AOW in the title please.
  2. The public does not deserve our support. We ran a test run for prizes. ALL sg's proved how little respect they deserve.

All events are now for ALL-OUT-WAR members ONLY!

Devs when you see this please delete all threads with AOW in the title.
  3. Stray Kitten your comments were helpful and i don't think Dave is trying to vent at you. You did contribute greatly to the event. His anger is directed at the many others who could have and do not care to participate.

The comment about AOW not gettting involved is wronge. 1/4 of the people in the event were in AOW. As for not letting them be involved is also wronge since this event is meant to be open to anyone and it would not be fair ESPECIALLY to our members to exclude them.

We have tried really hard to help get EVERYONE involved and help the server. People call it grandstanding, we call it putting our money where our mouths are and actually putting words in to ACTION!

Unfortunately, there are way to few other people willing to do so, this shows how pathetic all the other sg's and people are. No one takes time to help each other. This event shows how bad PuG's really are.

All AOW events are now for members only including the AOW 25 MILLION CC, we will hold 2 events per week for members only. The public does not deserve our support!

If you want to actually get involved and build a better community then join ALL-OUT-WAR!
Your WORDS mean nothing, your ACTIONS do!

    THAT IS ALL!

Devs when you see this message please erase all threads with AOW in the title.
  4. The event was meant for large sg's with pro players to get out and have fun and to encourage smaller sg's to make more friends.

In the TEST mission a scrapper finished it in 45 minutes solo, so more AV's were added in the main event. It was a matter of being prepared but no sg came out with a team to do so. The challenge was not set up for a PuG, but we tried it anyways. Great work by those who came out and tried anyways.
  5. The results were:

WINNER: 80 MILLION: TEAM: HABACHIZ : 59 minutes
    Leader: Habachiz Blazin Hot
    Porsha
    Melaena (Cherry)
    Hell Who?
    Dave Mebs
    Jetsinator
    War Admiral
    Heat KitKat (CriticalCat)

    2nd Place: 40 MILLION: TEAM: DREAD : 1:42 hours
Leader: She No Bee (Dread Shinobi)
    Frost Kitten (Stray Kitten)
    Emparath (ShadowKlaw)
    Chief Purple Manwolf

    3rd Place: 20 MILLION: TEAM : WTF : Default
    Leader: Jagermei5ter
    Shogonwolf
    Kami OMokane
    Fyre Zebra
    Radsurfer
    Stellar-Ice
    Lejionary
    Static Sparx
  6. To answer Fiery's question: I was concerned because Masterminds have more pets, Stalkers have hide and alphastrikes that are devastating, and Brutes seem tougher than tanks. I noticed this in PvP Zones.
Fiery and Kitten make a good argument. In the end it is a matter of how well the charcater is put together and how well the player knows how to use that hero/villian.

    NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS!:

The event is tonight and i have heard all the great sg's are forming teams and i do hope they all show up. United Heroes Brigade, Protectors of Neverland, Templars of Steel, DarkGuard, Hammers of Justice, Order of the Champions, Guardian Wolf Pack, a VG which hasn't named itself yet, and 2 teams from ALL-OUT-WAR.

With so many teams showing up if the zone is full we will have half the teams set up in Peregrine Island AE Building and the other half in the RWZ Building.

EXTREMELY GOOD NEWS!: With so many teams i have asked about increasing the amount and it has been decided:

    Grand Prize: 80 MILLION
    2nd Place: 40 MILLION
    3rd Place: 20 MILLION
    4th Place: 10 MILLION
    5th-10th Place: 5 MILLION each

Event will be 1 Map, Custom Critters, 16 AV's. This should make the event between 1-2 hours long.
  7. There are reasons for why we are doing things the way we are and we could debate about it forever, but let's not!

Plz leave your info below if you intend to compete in this event!
  8. Stray Kitten has a point.

Thanks to Cherry-2000 and her Task Force Tuesdays i have had a chance to see a combination of heroes and villians work together in a speed ITF. The results showed the teams were all balanced and worked really well together. My team had 2 Brutes, 2 Stalkers, 2 Masterminds, 1 Controller, 1 Defender (me). We rocked the ITF beating the mainly hero team with a warshade on it by 1 minute. The hero team was on invince and had to deal with one more crystal which could have made thier time better so congratz to all the people who came out to the event. All of you were fantastic.

Now that i have a better understanding of what to expect we will now allow Villians in all 3 events. This weekends event will be paid to hero counterparts in influence. The next 2 events we will work on getting enough infamy to payout the villians should they win.

I am still adamant that the teams be made up of members from the same SG/VG. But to make it more interesting we will allow VG and SG to combine on the condition that the VG and SG are directly related with the same leaders and mostly the same members. I know DarkGuard has a VG affiliate as does AOW. If the sg leader lets me know of thier vg affiliate i will record this so you can't switch in another vg in the future (I do keep records).

This weekend will be an event to see how much fun we can have with this ae system, plz come out and enjoy yourselves. Getting together with friends in a competition for fun and cash should be a good thing.
  9. Congratz to the winners (Dave Mebs, Warshade Warrior, and the others).

Thanks to my teammates, we rocked the itf but slowed down in the lgtf.

Thank you Fanged Knight for dragging us through to the end and holding us together you made a very good leader.

Also congratz to the other team for finishing the lgtf shorthanded.
  10. BMT channel was set up for TF's, you might want to ask to get on that channel.
  11. Please Pre-register your team in this thread:

    SG/VG Name
    Team Leaders Name: Build
    Teammates Names: Builds
  12. I see people still don't see the point: We are hosting multiple events, something AOW has ALWAYS done(AE is just another toy for us to use and play with). We are giving people another excuse to come out and have fun!

Use the rest of this thread to register your teams please:

    SG/VG name
    Team Leader Name: Build
    Team Members Name: Build
  13. Some people want to use villians in the main event which we are not sure is a good idea. I see no reason why we cannot hold multiple events. The idea is to have fun and bring people together. I realize most of you are loners and want to stay that way. No problem, either don't join the event or join as a team of one.

Artic Chill is absolutely correct, i was tired when i posted this event and the prize is really lame, so...........this weekends prize is quadrupled to 64 Million Grand Prize. This event needs 10 teams to start so plz pre-register and tell your friends.

I realize the time might not be good for some people but it is the best time for me and the weekend crowd, GATTACA, thx for posting and i hope you and your crew can make it
  14. If this is running 5 weeks i will have to skip this, sorry but i work tuesdays 3-11 pm and i only have this and next tuesday off

If this was a one night event i could go to it this and next tuesday but a series, no
  15. I am not a tank? If the tank is new then send in a dark defender first

Etiquette sounds like something i ate and pet peeves are something i specialize in

HAVE FUN THAT IS AN ORDER

World ends at 11, News at 12!

    MA Mondays!

Thanks for the follow up Witty!

As for messing up - that's why we have feedback and keep tweaking the mission. It's normal, you don't need to apologize for it, just learn from it.

Trust me, i make plenty of mistakes and i don't mind people correcting me as long as they are polite about it. Some of the games best features come to us by accident and others comments.

BTW i loved being on your team, the people with us were great. Hope to see you next Monday

    MA Mondays!

Irresponsible i think was the first one we tried tonight, it took so long with soooo many boss hunts that we did not get to the rest. A few others soldiered on but i had to take a break. I hope you guys will try the other ones again but if you dont let me know for next week and i will take my own team through the ones you guys already did.

In other words let me know which ones you did plz.

There were many clever ideas and fun surprises early on and the choice of maps was great, but the last couple of parts really dragged on. Whoever wrote this should tone down the number of bosses to find so the mission won't feel so drawn out. I suggest cutting the number in half.
  18. To test villian teams against hero teams we will be running this little event this sat. (Aug. 29th) at 7pm est. The grand prize is 16 million and is to be split between the winning members. There will be prizes for the top 10 teams. Teams will meet in RWZ AE Building by 6:30 pm est on aug. 13th at the latest, we want to organize and be ready on time for 7.

Teams must be from the same VG or SG or divisions of the VG or SG. Such as DarkGuard and DarkGuard:Apocalypse may combine members on the same team. Since this is short notice the mission will be shorter than the test mission (ID 309894), possibly 1-3 AV's instead of 6. We will try to balance it so it runs about an hour.

Pre-register your team here by 5 pm EST Aug. 29th or contact me ingame.
Team will consist of 1-8 players. Set on Heroic. use of ALL avaialble resources for this event, we don't want to hold you back, we want you to make use of everything you have learned about CoH and CoV.

You can thank : GuessWhosBack for this idea!

If the event proves to be a lot of fun, then villians may be entered in the 8 Billion Event in Dec.

Please list your SG/VG name, Leader (name and archetype) and the names of your teammates and thier builds if you have any.

Addendum: The event was posted when the OP was very tired. The Prize offered is extremely lame so........we have quadrupled it to 64 Million Grand Prize!

Further Update: Event will consist of 1 Map, 1 Mission, 1 Ally, 4 AV's, Defeat All. Approximate running time 20-60 minutes.

If you cant solo an AV, then i recommend strongly you learn to get along with ppl and invite a few friends into your sg for this event OR take one alt and join a large sg.
  19. Hmmmm, interesting points Guess. Let's try a test run on this first. This Sat. Aug. 29th we will run the AOW 16 Million AE Challenge in RWZ. This is a grand prize to be split between the whole team and is not on a pay scale. There will be prizes for the top 10 teams.

I will start another thread so people can pre-register thier team before 5PM EST Aug. 29th. Bring your hero or villian to RWZ AE Building, but all members of the team MUST be from the same SG or VG or a direct division of the same SG or VG.
For example members can be from AOW-ACES and AOW-XXX divisions, or United Heroes Brigade and United Legends Brigade, or Villians Inc. 1 and Villians Inc. 2.

To register for this event send me a list in game or leave a list in the thread AOW 16 Million AE Challenge.

No: sg's/vg's that are not direct divisions will not be allowed to combine teams, you can't convince me Stryke-Force is a division of Protectors of Neverland, not gonna happen

Plz pre-register your team in this thread

    SG/VG Name
    Team Leader Name: Build
    Teammates Names: Builds

Addendum: Villians can now compete and if the sg/vg leader can prove to me they are affiliates then you may combine heroes and villz on the same team. I am aware AOW and DarkGuard have a vg affiliate.
  20. Yes this is obviously a speed test and as for the 8 Billion it is in the bank for Dec. 13th.

If this event still seems to far off, let me know and we will host one sooner but with a smaller prize. I am thinking of hosting 2 more - maybe Sept. 13th and August 29th are the dates open for me.

The reason for smaller prizes is so we will still have infl. for all our other events. Since the closer events are hard to get teams together for on short notice consider them warmups to the main events.

The AOW 25 MILLION CC is first sat. of each month at 7PM EST, so they will go on as usual. Next one is obviously Sept. 6th.

People are posting as i write this so......

This is a CHAMPION Server event on HERO (BLUE) side only. AOW has a villian affiliate ALL-OUT-WAR-DOMINATION but it is only a 3 month old vg with few members, we do not have enough infamy for events yet.

For those who mainly play villians this is a good time to make a hero, get with a good group of friends and you have plenty of time to make your perfect team for the main event in Dec. which is why we advertised the event so early!

    MA Mondays!

OMG TrueFire that is a great concept, i am not waiting for MA Monday to try this one!
    Cya all tonight
  22. Talk to Dycedarg, he was in SF with me while he was overseas (Iraq i believe), he was overseas for more than one term. He is sometimes on BMT. He is a great guy and knows what Steel will face. He still managed to play regularly and was one of SF's best, even made hero of the month.

Any time you need a team or someone to talk to send me a shout Ima, i will make time for you!
  23. Why is the AOW 8 BILLION AE CHALLENGE so far off (Dec.13th).

Good point, the answer is....The event was created to give an incentive to have vets try new characters, new team make-ups, prep their characters and most of all help new people get involved! The challenge is to create a better server full of fun active heroes working together. Yes that means educating the new AE Babies too.

Many have asked why not hold an event sooner: Ok, we will

Oct. 11th at 7PM EST AOW will run a AE speed mission similar to ID 309894. This is going to be deleted Dec. 16th so no need to rate this mission. If you want to give feedback go ahead or contact me ingame.

First 10 teams through the gauntlet wins prizes. The Grand Prize is based on number in the team. 1 player gets 30 Million plus 10 Million per member on the team. This means 2 players get 40 Million each and a 8 man team would get 100 Million for each member making it a total of 800 Million for the team. 2nd place team would get 400 Million for an 8 man team.

    It's Time For ALL-OUT-WAR!
  24. Interesting points, you guys keep misunderstanding me and you call it drama.

The event is AOW because this is the organization hosting it.

The long wait time is to allow new people and vets plenty of time to work out a fantastic speed team.

As for the ticket thing, i had not thought of that, and it is irrelevant since the mission will be deleted at the end of the event (this is not for tickets or glory or devs choice). This is to create a new fun event people can look forward to and build a better team, group of friends, and a bigger better sg.

Miz Nibblez also pointed out that this event is way to far off so..............

AOW 800 MILLION AE CHALLENGE is scheduled for Oct. 11th at 7 PM EST. Same format as the 8 Billion Challenge using the same test mission as a guide (this is a guide and not absolutely needed to win the event) ID 309894.

AOW has ALWAYS put on fun and fair events. This event is for you to enjoy

(Trust me, i would love to step down and compete in this, but someone from AOW has to host, if another sg has the infl. it wishes to share and wants to run this event let me know)
