My one real concern is the community content that will be displayable with this system. It sounds cool and could be a real asset to players. If I opt-out of the ads, will I be unable to access this community content? That would be a shame. Hopefully there will be two different opt-in options: ads/community content and just community content.

Regardless, thanks for the update and for being player-first with this new feature.

This would be a great feature. I'll be opting in regardless, but those that don't should definitely have access to community stuff. And opting in won't matter too much to me, since my graphics will make ads pixelated and unreadable regardless.

A better solution (and QoL fix) for masterminds having to summon and buff their pets all the time:

Have pets persist between zones. Cross from Cap to Sharkhead, your pets go with you. Enter a mission, your pets go with you. Exit a mission, your pets come out with you.

I think the main argument against this is PvP. A level 50 MM could then summon a full contingent of fully buffed pets, and zone into Bloody Bay, e.g.
  3. So I was doing Harvey Maylor's story arc, and I've discovered what Teddy Roosevelt is doing in Rome: reading people's minds.

Seriously: Harvey Maylor at Paragon Wiki.
  4. Perhaps the "villain only"content for this issue is the VEATs. I'm sure a lot of work went into those, and it makes sense to have other stuff be co-op in I12. No doubt the next few issues will have efforts dedicated to other villain only content, including zones.

Players step foot upon the ancient land of the Roman Cimeroran Peninsula, where they battle deadly creatures, defend an ancient city and ultimately come face to face with the enemy of time itself.

AZURIA! At last your true evil will be revealed!

Hm... remember when a certain someone stole Baby New Year? That sounds pretty antagonistic to time itself... AND he only shows up in co-op events... it's Snaptooth!
  6. As long as Frostfire is still available, I'm happy. That's a staple of low-level hijinks. And even high-level... Everything else sounds good, I only played the Hollows once, then got bored when I took my other lowbies in there. I just hope I can get the trial in before they change the zone... unless it'll still be available.
  7. There are several missions in the game (can't think of any specifically now, I believe Harvey Maylor has one) that mention the Squad. They were nearly wiped out in the First Rikti Invasion, and became a secretive underground group, providing magical assistance to heroes from their extensive (and secret) library of magical knowledge.

From the Paragon City Backstory: Alien Invasion (http://www.cityofheroes.com/gameinfo..._invasion.html)

The aliens had also brought in heavily armored hover tanks that were proving to be particularly deadly until a consortium of mages from the Midnight Squad cast a spell that turned them all inside out, leaving smoking piles of junk. Unfortunately, the aliens gave as good as they got. Even as they were congratulating themselves on their success, the magicians were engulfed in a wave of burning plasma that stripped their flesh to the bone in a fraction of a second.

  8. Hibernate might not have been a good choice anyways, since it roots you, right? And if the GM moves away from you, you're out of melee range, and DQ'd.... Or something like that.
  9. Just found this. Read the whole thing. Brilliant.
  10. Ok, read 10 pages... anyone else notice the discrepancy between "third anniversary" and "four years ago"? Or are they saying that the pandemic didn't start until a year after the virus was discovered? Or is it just a result of the timeline being messed up?

And no one in 10 pages mentioned the fact that if no one's ever gotten out of the zig, the Warden badge is therefore non-existent... since there are no prisoners hanging around B town anymore.
  11. Grats to Crimson Tao, longtime member of the CCCP, for getting the big 5-0!
  12. HolyFlame, my first, hit the big 50 today, after 994 hours. Hooray!
  13. I think it's more interesting how this video came out after the invasion proper was over...
  14. Awesome! I was gonna go to booth anyways, but now I know to bring a screenshot or two.

On another note, I visited Nakayama's site, and under his CoH section, it looks like there are three different covers for issue one! But clicking on any will get you to the same part of his site, with no cover variations. Is there something going on there?
  15. Pinnacle has the RP Congress, which is a collection of several super groups. I'm sure one of them will fit your needs, and even if not there's still all the awesome people in the RPC itself to RP/team with. Link to RPC site.
  16. Did you know...

Devs & GMs show up on Pinnacle too?

Ghost Widow has appeared several times at the weekly Pocket D meetings of the Pinnacle based RP Congress (IC: Rebuild Paragon Congress) in-character, most recently to warn both heroes and villains of an impending crisis. (Shameless plug: the meetings are at 10:00 pm EST on Tuesdays, at Pocket D, generally up by War Witch.)

Synapse also appeared during December of 2006 to help the Coalition of Communist Crusaders for the Proletariat with their 2nd annual present-drive, donating several gifts to the group.

Alright, not too many will be interested in this, but it's a little tid-bit of Pinnacle info for those who are interested:

For several months in the beginning of 2006, the northeastern buildings in Siren's Call were known as "Peek's Perch," named after stalker Peek-a-boo who challenged heroes to countless duels atop them. The player then went to China for a year (I think).
