oh and I should note I love the sci-fi stuff (doctor who star trek...star wars so-so...um I like shows like Kyle XY and 4400 if there are any groups like that...mostly I just want to feel that I am part of the group

Ah, in that case, I know of a couple on Infinity. Saint Joseph's School and Bloodvine Academy (Hero and Villain side respectively) are the most well known ones on Infinity. They have a super-high school theme going on, but other than that there aren't many restrictions. Linky to their site.
You could also try the Legionnaires, although, I'm the leader of that group, so that's more of a shameless bump than anything else.

As for the twenty years old thing, I can't help ya. SJS is really the only hard-core RP SG I know of on Infinity. And Infinity is all I know. >.> Virtue has a few good RP groups, but you knew that already. I'd suggest posting in the SG forums. You'll find something there.
Pinnacle has the RP Congress, which is a collection of several super groups. I'm sure one of them will fit your needs, and even if not there's still all the awesome people in the RPC itself to RP/team with. Link to RPC site.
