Well i've been playing my Thugs MM a while now, and I like it a lot for PvP both teams and solo. But without any real guide i'm sure my slotting and powers are a bit haphazard, so with less jabbering, here's the build! Whatcha think?

Edit: changed it a little, tell me if I missed a slot! -
I need to get to 40 already >.< 2 levels to go!
-
If you want to team go with Thugs, dark works great in teams, if you want to Solo go with the Stalker since they're better suited for it and fun too.
Easy! -
It's insane how many longbow are outside the base in Siren's call compared to Arachnos. In fact there is nowhere outside the base Arachnos spawn (Exculding hotspots), yet the top left half of the map is COVERED in longbow.
As a MM the chasers are the worst, burn patches D: -

Actually I have - but I only got it about a level ago and it's hard to tell if it does much with just TOs in it. Thanks for the other advice though..

Manuves is nice for Melee sets (Since they die all the time), but i'd take Assault first, the increase in damage is really noticable!
Well I've been Alting it up in CoH and I'm going back to the MM for a while, any comments on Maneuvers yet?
Mike.

I hope they give us something to allow us to pick how our pets fight. Maybe like the stances we could have a button that tells the pet to "Only use melee" "Only use ranged" and "Go nuts, whatever"
[/ QUOTE ]
Bit unfair on Ninja's and Undead melee isn't it?Oh well, i'll stick to ranged for now, least they don't get horribly confused about thier role in life, well except the brute, but he's worth the hassle when he works
Back in CoV Beta Posi stated this was not on the cards - if they did that they'd have to downpower the henchmen further.
I'd assume this is no on the cards still if I were you. Not that it wouldn't be nice, of course.
[/ QUOTE ] -
I'd love to do a Ninja/TA as my next set(I will have a 50 of all MM's eventually, I love the class too much!) but to be honest the brute drives me batty enough, I don't really want to contend with 5 pets like that!
I hope they give us something to allow us to pick how our pets fight. Maybe like the stances we could have a button that tells the pet to "Only use melee" "Only use ranged" and "Go nuts, whatever" -
More Masterminds! Sometimes I feel like i'm the only one!
More Dom's too would be sweet. And less Spines/Regen and Illu/Empath.
Not that i'm going to complain, I am a Thugs/Posion with Tactics, so both are fairly easy kills (Oh the whining when you hit a Spines/Regen with /posion debuffs, it makes me giggle inside)

Just to clarify then, if your in a PvP zone your fair game. Purposefully setting out to stop an event in a PvP zone is also fair game but not everyone will like it and thats tough on them. You can either let them have their way and leave the zone or block all communication and continue anyway safe in the fact you are not insulting anyone or doing a petitionable offense. Just be prepared for them stopping you have your fun in stopping them having theirs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really sure how they'd stop me having my fun, after all I want to PvP, and they on ly way they got to stop me is by PvP'ing!
Course it'll probably be 20 vs 1. But hey I can take 'em >.> -
You can! Not wizzy enoguh to do it offhand, but it should be fairly easy if you jus search MM boards for Binds by pet name and change it to the heavies name.
-
The other fun one I get is "You going to sit in BG all day?"
"No i'd love to come out so you can 2 shot me :P"
Damn me for using my inerents! So cheap! -
Ack, I see you've got the wrong idea about my posts. I'm not saying heavies are overpowered or not.
I'm just saying they seem to be great for MM's who are kinda forced to move slowly around PvP or leave BG and get 3 shotted by a blaster. -
[ QUOTE ]
Uhm, no, that's not what I said at all.
There are two camps when it comes to Heavies: those who think they're overpowered and pointless, and those who don't. I don't think it has anything to do with whether or not someone has played an MM before coming across one; as I can say for certain that one of the people involved in this debate has played an MM for many levels, successfully.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well if you've played a MM why do you problems controlling it?
Hell you only have to control one pet as well, I can manage 5 with a few keybinds and I still have to single debuff mobs myself.
You were saying they're bad because they're so dumb, I was jsut pointing out if you have a MM like control over them then they're only as dumb as you want them to be :/ If they were like all other pets that had no controls then i'd be inclined to agree with you.
Esit: as for them being Slow., Well as an MM I gotta fight at a slow pace, so that suits me fine! -
[ QUOTE ]
There's still some AI involved, as on the odd occasion they'll randomly attack something that wasn't attacking it/you, and you'll be in trouble. Though, that'd probably down to setting it to aggressive, so that'd be the nonexistant AI again...
...hrm.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh I see, Heavies are useless because people have never played an MM before, and are getting introduced to Pet managment in a fairly unfriendly zone.
I can't wait for my 54 pet! -
If it's a choice between usin a green, and resummoning my entire line of pets and trying to get back to the fight without getting ganked outside of BG because my pets are slow.
Ha! Green it is! I find it funny people [censored] about using insps when it's 3 vs 1 too...
"Oh my god you used a green! Lol insps!"
"But... there was THREE of you?!?" -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
The AI on them is not perfect, it's not even good [...]
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually it's nonexistent -- they only do what their owner commands them to do, just like Mastermind pets.
[/ QUOTE ]
So wait it's a level 54 MM pet, and people say it' not very good.
Well that makes me feel secure about my MM's place in PvP that does
(I can't wait to have one, if they suck so much I gues i'll be the only one with them eh? eh?) -
For me the Spec Ops and Commando almost never use thier snipes, unless the enemy runs away or Position them far away. The Commando also never uses the Flamer unless I move him close.
I'm fairly sure they like to stand still, and use the attacks that fit that range, annoying as it means you have to move them about to get the good hits in >.< -
From what i've heard. If they have a CM bot in base and you can't get at it, then hope you got another AT to play because Dom won't be doing much
I rarely see Dom's to really say, the one time we had one it was actually really nice as he'd grab the hero's in vines and they'd die in seconds. But there was without CM. -

Poison trap + web nade can be nasty in zone pvp.
[/ QUOTE ]
I use web nade a ton in Pvp with my MM and it has NEVER stuck. It's got a tiny mag, and stacking it takes ages.
Posion trap is nice though, people almost never resist the vomit and they're total sitting ducks while they do it. -
[ QUOTE ]
Quite a few in the 30s so around 33/34 ish. Although been sidekicking up so by the end of the last session a lv 1 became lv 9/10.

14 actually -
Spike Milligan said it used to be Ackack for the British and who am I to question!
I never even thought about spelling stuff, hmm
m.... -
Well it was just Dorak and pretty short but fun none the less!
If you want to invite me to the SG so it's easier to get hold of you when on send me a tell on @Malovence and i'll log on Trice -
Well I made an Alt called Trice and levelled a bit, but unfortunately while you said Monday 7:30 I don't really know where any of you are, or who to talk to!
I'm on for a bit so hopefully someone will read this and help me out! -
My 3 Soldiers are Ackack Bingo and Whiskey which is part of police radio language (From my limited knowledge of Spike Milligan and the Bill
)
2 Spec Ops are Tango and Cash. I'm sure you know why!
COmmando is name Piston, after an old tank a Friend had on NWN who was abosluetly nucking futs and I wanted to honour in my own litte way. -
I have a Mercs/Traps MM so this isn't from personal Corupter experience but for me this is what I think
Web Grenade- It's a very fast recharge Immob which costs almost no end, not very high mag, but hey, spammable fixes that!
Caltrops- Any mob (and I seriously mean any even AV's won't like being in them) in a caltrops patch will try to run out, very slowly if they don't have resistnace to slows, and won't do much return fire unless they become immobilized, so if you stand in the middle of the caltrops you're pretty much immune to melee. Handy!
Triage Beacon. Not that amazing, it's a good amount of +regen and on my MM I couldn't live without it as combined with FFG it makes my pets invincible to all but the hardest hitting of mobs, but as a corrupter unless you got a lot of people on your team and in it's area it's not that great. It also needs to be fed a lot of slots to make it worthwhile and worst of all people always seem to want to fight outside of it's range! As your only heal it's not all that sadly.
Acid Mortar. I <3 Acid Mortar. It's got a good bit of -res which combined with the abundance of -res sonic has, it is going to make those poor mobs cry and cry as thier once tough bosses melt away. Got a good range though but needs you to spot for it it'll only fire at mobs within' a reasonable distance of you, it's not that bad jhsut worth noting is all. You can use it to take Alphas, although I think Seeker's are better for this personally as it's a pain to get it firing, seekers you just drop into the middle of them, no fuss.
FFG. It rocks! Not much more to say really, it makes hell of a difference to my pet survivability and provides some mes protection and +res(all) can't go wrong with that for PvE really when on a team, and even solo it's nice to have.
Posion Trap. It's an AoE hold for Corrupters basically, it makes Dominators cry when they see how hax it is. Best of all it seems to effect almost anything, not sure about EB's and AV's but Bosses will start to throw up shortly after being in the area and it is a fairly large area. Might be a bit tricker to set up as a Corrupter than a MM, but it's basically and AoE hold for Corrupters that very few if any mobs will resist, rock! In PvP any class you can get into the cloud will hate you for this as the vomit animation is hellish long, and people rarley have the resists to ignore it. Did I mention it has a big -regen factor too? Yes it just rocks that much.
Trip Mines. They make things go boom. Not much else to say really if you need to take down a EB, spend some time laying a bunch of these, lead EB over mines. Work's for AV's too but don't expect to kill them in one shot!
Seeker Drones - These guys can take Alpha strikes for you or your team, (And they have a ton of life so sometimes they ever surive and go on to explode) they also have the lovely -acc debuff and can daze too, yay! If you want to skip this though I don't think you'll miss it that much, it's just nice to have is all.
I have no idea about time bomb since MM's get something different, but have heard it's actually not that great. Just what I heard! I could be wildly wrong.
So while most people think "Traps = Trip mines and time bomb = damage" it's actually mostly a lot of control and damage mitigation and damn good control and damage mitigation at that (Oh and our sweet, sweet -res mortar I love you so!). The Trip Mines are really just the fun icing on the cake.
