Sonic can't possibly be balanced, my Sonic/Sonic dipped her toe in Siren's a while back and a Spines/Regen (with a very high opinion of themselves *SHOCK*) wasn't able to slaughter me. I assume I got petitioned for haxing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's balanced then. Or would you prefer to get easily killed? Scrappers are not meant to kill just about anything anyway.

Overall, I think both FF and Sonic Disp sets are well balanced.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    hehe, you're funny

    [/ QUOTE ]

Seriously, I do find both sets to be alright. Since you're a PvPer you might have higher standards than I do tho. My xp at PvP is very little so I won't even argue in that field.
  3. Looks great. One small thing I would adjust: the thumb should be a bit closer to index finger. If you try and open your hand like that, you'll notice the maximum angle between thumb and index finger will be 90% (a bit more for those who have really flexible hands).
  4. I can't tell you how I much love the Witch Costume. It's just brilliant. Very very impressive.

    *Thumbs up*

I still say Sonic Dispersion should have Sleep Res, I mean it's a bubble of music and as I live under a guitarist I can tell you music keeps me from sleeping.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Makes sense. But then you would have to add -Def to the set since music/sound distracts you, making you lower your defences or making it harder for you to focus.

Overall, I think both FF and Sonic Disp sets are well balanced.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
Now if they could only add resistance to sleep (if only lol) to Force Bubble and some extra defence (say upto 5%) be great

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Funny!
  7. Ignore what I said. I was having in mind force bolt's animation all this time. My bad.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
It still takes KB enhancements, and enhanced knockdown becomes knockback.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lovely then. I don't have any FFer and I'm not planning to any time soon. I was just trying to figure why would they break the concept of the set.

And to me "repulsion" still is all about blowing foes away. So either they should change the name or the animation of the power (say the hero punches the ground and the force bolt comes off the ground and hits the foe right beneath his feet).
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Since I have never seen anyone use this power in 3 years, I think it may be needed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've seen plenty. Most likely they pick it for concept, but I find it a fun power myself.

I think this time the Devs are ignoring the concept of the set itself. Force Field should be all about keeping stuff away, deflecting, repeling and knocking stuff back. How in the world should a "repulsion" bomb cause knockdown? They might have to change the name of the power cuz it will no longer make any sense.
  10. That will be a weird repulsion bomb. Not sure if would like this change if I were a knockback fan.
  11. Rad/Dark is fun. Tentacles will keep enemies immobilized making it easier to debuff them.

Tips for not having soloing on an Ice or Earth controller drive you mad due to their lack of damage output:

    * Take your Single Target Immobilise and slot it as a Ranged Attack. Acc/Dam rather than with Acc/Immob.
    * Take a Pool attack (air superiority)
    * Wait until you have the 12 month veteran rewards before making your controller and claim Veteran Sands of Mu or Veteran Ghost Slaying Axe, don't let them not getting containment put you off.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    It still takes 'forever'

    [ QUOTE ]
    # Take Rad as a secondary rather than Storm. It's not that Storm doesn't give you ways to boost your damage output, it actually has a bunch, it's just apart from Freezing Rain at level 16 they come right at the end of the set. Accelerate Metabolism you can get at level 4 (and you should), Enervating Field you can get at level 10.

    [/ QUOTE ]

He picked the combo for concept purposes.

    [ QUOTE ]
Wait until your 33 month veteran reward before making your controller and take either the Blackwand or Nemesis Staff depending on your Origin

    [/ QUOTE ]

    You're funny!
  13. I see a lot of synergy. Easy slow cap, constant knockdown, AoE immob with -kb component, stealth power (allowing you to use Glacier with less aggro risks // paired with SS grants invis), ...

Oh, and it looks great together
  14. [ QUOTE ]
Just out of interest, how have you found tanking AVs? Is it ok with support?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Theoretically WP is the primary set that will benefit the most from a team, so I'd say yes.
  15. I've been thinking of leveling a WP/SM but in the end I always go back to my beloved Ice tanker.
  16. I wouldn't recommend soloing with it anytime soon (it is doable but it takes forever). Your damage is pitiful 'til you get Jack, Tornado and LS.

In teams you'll pretty much shine if you use your powers wisely. You'll have plenty of control tools to lockdown several mobs.
  17. Quicksand got a base 25&DefDebuff too IIRC. I skipped Chocking Cloud because, as I said, I play mostly at range.

You can skip Stamina if you combine a few uniques and some purple sets (think all purple sets give you 4%EndRec at 2nd IO). I prefer recharge bonus on my Earth/Rad tho.
  18. I don't see much synergy between Earth and Rad, but the combo surely is godly. As an Earth/Rad you'll have the tools to control several mobs without any issues (and at range).

Salt Crystals... I hate it. It could be handy if it were ranged, but it's a PbAoE. IMO, totally skippable. About look of it.. You see those CoT crystals? Well, Salt Crystals are similar but in white. Each foe gets locked into each one of those crystals. It looks good but the only reason I would pick it is for IO set bonuses.

    *Edit*

Grab stamina so you can use all your awesome control potential non-stop and shine in teams.

    Level 1: Barrage -- C'ngImp-Acc/Dmg:50(A)

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Waste of money/IO imo.
  20. Yea, death shroud. Ignore me, X-mas shopps are like drugs to my brain.
  21. Quick question: If I place Armagedon - Chance for Fire Damage on Murky Cloud how exactly will it work? Will it have 33% chance of hitting the fire damage from time to time or just once everytime I turn the toggle on?

    Cheers.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Anyone has a stone troller that can shine a light on the stone pet?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It is slow but it does nice damage and can easily take the alpha without any issues. I ended up dropping it on my Earth/Rad because I could lock down spawns so easily that I didn't find myself using the pet at all.

Anyway, Stoney got a bit smarter now and runs into melee range quite often so it might be good for you to get him and drop DF on him.
  23. Temps aside, you won't be doing decent damage at low levels as an Ice/Earth troller. Both primaries are meant to offer more crowd control potential, not damage.
  24. [QR]
I'm pretty sure defence bunuses don't stack with Ice armours so don't even bother going that way.
