The thing about 3vP Hammer is that a lot of work went in to making sure that the random teams, whilst drawn randomly, weren't either too overpowered or too weak. Why do you think none of the Paragon Defenders got drawn in the same team on Defiant? I was playing my Empath for 3vP, and yes, I made a huge difference for my team, but if I remember right we did lose a match because we came against a team with a whole [censored] load of damage compared to ours which was support heavy.

New Hamidon only needs one major tweak in my opinino, and that's the Mito Respawn. I mean, it's what, two, three respawns? One respawn would work IMO, at least, EU side. So what if you burn a load of EoE's and die some, as soon as you've got the original Mito's down, you're halfway. Even if you run out of EoE's at some point, it's not so insurmountable to keep going.

Now days though if you tried that against a balanced team with Res or Def buffs, do you honestly think you'd do as well?

Honestly though, unless there's specific rules against powersets/combinations (which I hate) how many teams seriously would go without an Empath, Thermal or Sonic?

I'd like to point out that as a general Hold's from AT's other than a Controller or a Dominator need two stacking applications to go over Acro in PvP.

Three things:

1) General Community not big enough to warrant this.

2) PvP Community even smaller.

3) There'd then have to be an official roleplay server to make it fair, and I'd spend all my time on it making cat girl jokes. So I'd never get to PvP.

... I don't really know why you're having that much trouble hitting, my Scrapper's slotted for about 90-110 damage, 40-80 acc (iirc), I have FA and a handfull of +acc bonus' I think. Now that's all Acc, not ToHit bar FA. While FA is a reasonably massive boost, you shouldn't be having a huge amount of problems. I've gone through powerboost'd defender Rad Infection without build up on my toon.

MA may seem to be lacking at damage vs resists, yes, but it's got a good attack chain, pretty sweet damage on Crit's and it stuns quite a lot too.

Any chance you can let us know what IO's and IO sets you're using? I'll see if I can find my build and post it up for you, maybe you'll get some ideas you've not thought of to try.

That'd be pretty nifty, aye. But maybe it'd be good for 1st, 2nd and 3rd? I mean, we're not talking massive detail, it's a sketch, not MMOArt.

Plus we'd all need digital copies anyway, or decent hard copies, but I don't think that'd be too much of a problem for NC to get around.

That's it Hammer, a backed competition with prizes that are more than a board title would probably get much higher interest than a player ran event.

Y'know, merchandise, RAM, stuff like that.

In all seriousness though, if there was a proper pentad tournament, we'd be back for it in an instant. I'm pretty sure the same can be said some other players.

A tournament below 40 might work better, most PvP'ers that are used to fighting in big teams do so at 40/50 for the most part so it'd be a case of using new toons or toons that aren't properly levelled/built/used.

Pentad is good.

But seriously unless there's hardcore prizes I don't see it taking off. S4 worked because everything was new, there wasn't a team right at the top of the skill/experience ladder, there wasn't a set best team that'll work 9/10 times. It was just a bunch of people dicking about having a laugh trying to win free stuff.

Now though, I don't know. As much as I'd love a new pentad ladder backed by NC, I can't see it coming soon.

Bier is my next highest at level 9, he's a healer psychic controller. Most used at the moment is a blaster, but he's not much of a good character yet...

Numbers don't matter. Percentages do.

For example loosing 600 from a 1300 player server to a 2500 player server is a big difference to the other way around.

Just like 6000 from a 13000 server to a 25000 server.

If they implement Server Transfers soon I want it WoW style. High Pop to Low Pop, so Union to Defiant.

Imo having all the current PvPers on one server will be nice, but will end up detrimental to the pvp community long term in regards to new players joining and not checking the boards unless the server's tagged as a PvP server on the selection screen, which I doubt will ever happen.

The reason I like it on Test is that people from all servers can fight at the same place, and for the more casual PvP'ers they can have a PvP build on Test and a PvE or Hybrid build on Live.

The encoding is just fine since the side is about high quality videos anyway. Plus there was a clear warning on top about short movie and 90mb
