Quote:interesting info. thanks.Tanks shine when the Brute can't stay up. If the Brute is capable of staying up, the Brute is probably going to be more useful.
Both are very resilient so it's more a matter of when you pass the survivability of the Brute but not yet of the Tank. Some of these situations include:
At low level where the Brute doesn't have IO sets, but the inherently higher mitigation and HP of the Tanker is enough.
On 'weak teams' where the Brute doesn't get support from the team, but the inherently "" "".
TLDR: Tanks get to being tanky earlier and require basically no support. Brutes eventually approach this to the point that the difference isn't noticeable for the vast majority of content. -
Quote:When I'm comfortable with it, I'll may do it. At this time I'm not and not going to do it.Although I haven't poked around in Hero Stats in a while, I bet it monitors incoming info, and doesn't need to send info anywhere.
That being said, with a decent firewall, you should be able to block the program's ability to send data out, without harming it's ability to function as advertised, if that's the main concern. -
yea. died from it a few times as i was too busy laughing.

hm that sounds interesting what contact does that Jenni Adair Arc belongs to?

I like the tips, and DA level 50(plus level shift up to three) content. Night ward is good too.

hm might have to build a dark/dark and or a dark/poison. Got a good concept for a dark/poison in mind.

Sorry for not chasing everything and downloading every program online because people online said it was safe for my computer. That was the whole point of me goign to check it out myself so I see for myself and judge for myself was I comfortable with this program. I decided I wasnt and wished it was left at that. If ya felt like I was calling you liars, Sorry about that. But I did wish you would've just accepted the fact that I wasnt comfortable with it and left it alone. Hopefully we have come to the end of this nonsense.

Quote:I dont see how saying "no, I dont feel comfortable with downloading that" is confrontational. You then got confrontational with me.All of them basically, in a matter of factly tone as well...
You conveniently left out the one option I gave you that I think is the obvious choice, you chose the other 2 over the one that is likely most truthful.
You also took hyperbole quite literally after insulting me and being confrontational about the FACTS that I was presenting to you.
But you clearly don't see the forest for the trees.
Ok, maybe the point been missed. Fact or not, safe or not, Will save my life or not.
I do not feel comfortable with downloading that program.
Stop insulting me stop harassing me, stop pestering me about it. When and if I do feel comfortable with it, I'll go for it but that is for me to decide not you. End of story. I have nothing more for you. You like the program that good, you go download it again and again and again but I'm not and you are not going to strongarm me into doing it. -
Alright this what I figured so far, brutes with fury at least, does more damage overall than a tank, or at least it feels like. But tanks primary is stronger in resistance than brutes and also have more hp.
Now From what I've experienced. KEYWORDS:What I've experienced! is that while tanks tend to be more of a lumbering pace in dispatching mobs but still get job done, brutes tend to be more berserker get in there kill anything in sight quickly type.
In what situations would a tanker shine where a brute dont. And what areas would a brute shine that a tanker wont or rather out shine each other persay.
Note: I'm talking about without SOs standard baselines. And no defense based sets (I want to stay on topic this time). To make it easier say the pros/cons of a Electric Armor/energy melee tank vs energy melee/electric armor brute. Especially focused on large teams and or iTrials. -
Quote:Well hell, not sure if I would want to ask anyone anything if they are going to act like that over someone that is not comfortable with downloading a program.Well I used it before years ago, and it was safe then. I haven't used it recently though. There are plenty of other people you can ask too.
Doesn't really matter to me either way if you use it or not. I'm just trying to lower the tension level in this thread. If you don't think your position should have to be defended, then don't do it. It's just going to invite other people to defend their position and continue arguing.
But you're right my position dont have to be defended but that doesnt mean it had to resort to name calling, insults and the likes. Maybe if I have a question about something or advice about any other programs, I'll PM you as you seem to be reasonable. -
Quote:maybe they seen the post maybe not, maybe they agree it's safe maybe they dont. I havent asked them. But what I do know is that I feel that I'm not comfortable with downloading that program. And I;m sure the devs or mods would try to force it upon me if I choose not to dowload it, unlike you are trying to do. Nor would resort to insults and name calling. These forums are moderated by several different people, among them are the developers who oversee and design the game you play.
Do you think they would put their reputations as a company and as developers on the line by allowing people to post harmful things on their game's forum site? -

Quote:If you dont care then why continue to try to force it down my throat. I aint call anyoen a liar. All I said was tha tI wasnt going to download it, I dont feel right downloading it, I dont feel it's safe for me to download, I dont feel comfortable downloading it and those reason should suffice. And the answer is A. but think what you want. I tell you, end this harassment and strong arm tactics. If you dont care leave it alone. No, it means 19% downloaded it and didn't think it was good enough to recommend, while 81% downloaded it and thought it was good enough to recommend. There is no % of people not downloading it because they didn't download it.
You're basically calling everyone who says the site is good a liar. I don't care if you download it one bit, but you're saying that no matter how many people say its good, how many reputable companies endorse it, or how little chance there is of you getting a virus, you still won't do it not because you don't want the service, but because you either:
A: think everyone is out to get you to download this and harm your computer
or
B: don't want to because it will reveal that you aren't a special snowflake with horrible luck.
I'm not downloading and dont care if my reason is not good enough for you. -
Quote:The only advise I asked about was Scrapper vs brute. The ncrits came up, so I learned how to get info to to this post on what goes on in game. that was accomplished. The someone brought up herostats. Ok, I went to check it out, didnt like what I see and oh hell, then it all went from there with the paranoia stuff and insults directed at me from me simply stating I didnt feel safe nor comfortable downloading it because I dont download anything unless I completey understand it which is very reasonable as I doubt anyone download programs that they dont understand. And really just because we are online I assume they suppose to be trustworthy in regards to programs I'm confortable downloading? I dont know them and they dont know me. They point the site out I checked it out and wasnt comfortable with it. Not sure how that is a big deal. When have I tried to force some program down your throat that you did not want to download for what ever reason? Not a single time. I just want that same respect. And you expect me to beleive these people, the very same ones calling me paranoid, obtuse, and other names, are a trustworthy source? You don't intend to, but it's what you're doing. You're on a forum asking for advice, and when people tell you that a program is safe, you don't believe them because they aren't trustworthy enough for you, and you're very flagrant about this fact.
There's also an issue of tone. If you had said "I'm sure you guys are right, but I don't download programs unless I completely understand everything about it, including how it works and who made it. I'll look in to it more and see if any people I know use it so I can ask them about it, then we'll see if it will work for me." then I'm sure people would have been much more understanding. Instead every time someone tries to explain that the program is safe you argue about how it MIGHT not be safe, which is insulting to them and confrontational. -
Quote:I never called anyone a liar. All I said was that I, me, wasnt comfortable with the site and the stuff on there and I, me, do not download anything that I'm not comfortable with. That is my choice I believe. Maybe the site is safe maybe it aint but like I said multiple times, I'm not comfortable with it. I think it's a bit rude to try to force people to do something they are not comfortable doing even if you say it is safe. Anyone can say something is safe but really I dont know you or anyone else here anymore than I know the dude sitting on his front porch somewhere in Utah saying that his special tea he made is safe.I think that the difference between opinions and facts is being confused here. How safe you want to be with your personal information and computer safety is an opinion. Whether or not a specific program is safe is a fact.
Someone being unable to determine if a fact is true or not true it's completely understandable, but ignoring people explaining the facts is rude and ignorant. It's essentially calling people liars. -
I dont do delivery in store. If I went there in person that means I'm buying it now. Some stores, especially Bath and Body Works are notorious for asking for phone number and email. What they need it for? I tell them flat out, "You dont need that information to complete the transaction." And usually they just ring up the stuff and the product works fine without them gathering information that have nothing to do with transaction and that is the end of it.

Quote:Who says I have Windows? And maybe the operating system has been modified maybe not. And if that is the case then why is it paranoid to think that maybe the code on that site might have been modified? And you all want me to install it on my computer? Interesting. Like I said, I felt this COH was ok. I might be wrong as all hell. But with Herostats, I dont feel it's right and I might be just as all wrong about that too. But in what logic does it make any sense to do something you dont feel right about? How many programs do you download that dont look right to you? Funny not a single person answered that but I suspect not many people just randomly go around downloading programs they either dont know anything about, or programs they dont think they should be downloading.Just to point this out, but anyone with any knowledge of coding can change any program, as long as they have a few minor tools and the knowledge of the coding language.
How do you know your copy of COH wasn't modified? What about your copy of windows? Windows is notorious for being exploited...
Just saying... -
Quote:Dozen of people saying it's safe...people I dont know, never seen, never conversated with. I've seen more than a dozen spammers say their products is safe, does it mean it is? And no I dont think people are conspiring to harm my computer, I dont know who is or who isnt but that doesnt matter. I dont care how many people trust it, they didnt invest nor have any risk in anything that is my life thus what they say have no bearing at all. What matters is if I dont feel right about it, then I dont feel right about it and until I do, I'm not bothering with it. If and when I feel it's right then I go to it. Maybe if my husband says it safe, then MAYBE I'll try it.That is really kinda silly. There is internet safety and then there is paranoia. If you have a good antivirus program, multiple people saying its safe, open codes, the maker's names out in the open, and you still don't trust it, then you're being overly paranoid. Because at this point you're thinking that dozens of people are conspiring to hurt your computer.

Quote:I read their policy first, understood it, and was comfortable with it and went for it. Still no linking of personal information that I have to worry about. Mind you when I first bought the game from a brick/motar store it took a year before I was ready to load it onto my computer because at first I wasnt ready and when I was I played. Was it guranteed meaning it was safe? Hell no, but so far so good, no problems but I was comfortable with my choice and that what mattered most. IF they change policy and said we are collecting and selling personal data, then I'm ghosting. If they add something I dont understand, I'm ghosting. Like the option when ya log in, if you press green button it means you read and understand the policy, if not, there is a cancel button and you have option to not partake. And with that train of thought, how is it that you downloaded CoH?
Good feeling and understandment-I'll bite.
Uncomfortable and or not getting the policy-I aint touching it until I get the just of it.
Doesnt look right to me or disagree with policy-Aint touching at all, not now, now yesterday not ever.
About as simple as that. -

Quote:My phones have no linking information. And I have no time to worry about what million of people do. That is not my concern. I didnt agree with their privacy policy so I dont use it. and an email that is only used for this game. What just because ya downloaded it suppose to make me feel better? I dont react nor decide on things just cause people do it. I dont care if ya happen to jump a cliff and survive but I'm not that much of a slave to follow just because you did it. If I'm not comfortable with jumping then I aint doing it.i literally downloaded hero stats today, worked great, you ask for help on the forums yet you are too paranoid to use the tools to help you solve your problem, how did you sign up for COH, i believe you need an email don't you? come on man, you cant live life in a bubble. OK you dont want to download herostats but GOOGLE? it is one of the top internet companies in the world and you don't trust it even though MILLIONS of people around the world use it everyday and have absolutely no problems with it. do you buy the disposable phones and trash them once a week too?
You all suggested only ONE tool. I looked at the tool, was comfortable using it and so I wont. Look at it on the other end. If I came to you with some program you never heard of or know nothing about and you didnt feel comfortable with what you saw would still down load it even though I goad you on sayign millions of people use it, or saying you're too paranoid? No, ya probably tell me to go screw myself and not download it if ya wasnt comfortable doing so even if you're standard of security was considered too high by me. Do you download everything you see on the web? I doubt it. Why? because some of the stuff probably didnt look safe to do so. Same logic here just a bit different view or level of what is safe but just because it's different doesnt mean it's paranoid. Just as I might just think your sense of security is too loose and you might be the type who would post pics of ya debit card on facebook. -
Quote:What ever you say. you can put ya opinion on the high and mighty stand all you want, it doesnt change me nor my opinion. But I starting to think your purpose here is now to just insult me, so I'll leave you with this. Your selling of Herostats failed, no commission for you. Go cry in a corner somewhere now and let ya self inflated opinion that you try to pass off as facts comfort you."That's your opinion, my opinion is blah, blah, blah."
All opinions are not created equal.
You can believe the Earth is flat, man has never set foot on the Moon, vaccinations cause autism, there is a 50 year-old conspiracy to put Obama in the Presidency of the United States and that is all opnion that someone has advanced and believes in dearly.
I see little to seperate the above from what you are putting forth here.
Bye.
