Quote:Resistance base is what I'm going for. WP sounds like good choice, I have a claws WP and it was fun to play. It's pretty good on stalkers. The trouble is, KM and the 100% crit rate pbaoe stole its thunder a bit. Throw spines is still great though. The coming buffs to barb swipe and lunge can only improve the set (I hope). Ripper can be/feel a tad slow, likewise with Impale.
I dont think I would recommend any of those sets, for a stalker. They are all (mostly) resistance based, and defence is much better for a stalker I think. That said..with the AS changes, you dont HAVE to rely as much on the old placate + not getting hit + go through the AS animation. So I guess they could be more worthwhile now. I'd most likely say WP, -
How is spines for a primary these days? Havent seen many of them lately and wondering if it's still good.
And does it go better with Dark armor, WP, Electric, or regeneration? Or rather when paired with spines, which is best for solo play survival overall?
Baseline, SOs. -
Quote:This is the second try as the forum ate my first post -.-
So this one won't be as elaborate, just the basics.
Macross Missile Massacre
Small wrist- and shouldermounted rocketlaunchers popping up and firing a swarm of micromissiles.
I was thinking maybe a cone attack doing fire damage and knock down.
3M - TV Tropes
example it's at 2:13
Da Bomb
Well, basically just this:
The character jumps in the air, pulls a big bomb out of hammerspace and slams it into the ground ->
PBAoE with self teleport like Spring Attack, doing energy damage and massive knock back...maybe blind any survivors.
I like this idea. -
-
so then. with the electric armor and energy melee combo.
on the tank, does the electric armor drain more end than the brute version, since it's primary and does say that stuns on brute energy melee last longer than the tank version? Or is it the same secondary effects or both? -
Quote:Hm might go over there and check it out. too bad it wont trnsfer from there. only down side. But if they are data mining still then it probbaly wont be done by then. Then I roll it later, in the mean time looks like dark/poison is the winner until nature affinity hits. By then, the dark/poison will be mid-to high level and I'd be ready to roll another. The more players play it, give feedback, and the Devs work on it by the feedback, data mining, etc, the faster it is done. Of course, they may have a date they want to get it out by to us, but I don't know it.
What I suggest is play it now on beta. Make it, play it, get a feel, give feedback if u want, and help out.
You can team in beta too. -
Quote:So when is nature affinity hitting live? I plan on having this toon rolling by the 12th Aug.You will enjoy it and love it even more.
Nature affinity has some great -dmg debuffs, -to hit debuffs (even better mixed with Dark Control) -resitance debuffs, a very powerful dmg and to hit buff (like a squishy version of Rage but no Rage crash), great heals and regen which, unlike Empathy, buff and heal you when solo, gives you solid resistance and great regen, a dull pain or absorb power, a healing/recovery patch u can stand on...
Now add that to Dark/ Control, which is a very very solid set that has all the tricks and tools to control except a sleep, but with a very very nasty fear, 3 pets which do gooood dmg together, a patch or placement area hold, a freaking wide wide area stun which recharges fast enough, and lots of -to hit debuffs.
You will PWN.
Roll it, try it, no matter what, solo or teaming, you will naturally feel some dark fun... (no pun intended).
Look, Dark/nature affinity -

Quote:yea. some of my most emjoyable brutes were SS, and some of the tanks i liked was SS. TW, i loved it the same on tank and brute. It's a good set for me.SS should have LESS of a gap between its performance for Tankers and Brutes, because Rage somewhat dilutes the effect of Fury (and this does match my own experience with the set).
Tanker Foot Stomp (95% damage enhancement + Rage): 63.17*(1+.95+.8)=173.7
Brute Foot Stomp (95% damage enhancement + Rage + 80 Fury): 59.22*(1+.95+.8+1.6)=257.6
Brute Foot Stomp does 48% more.
By comparison, Brute Whirling Smash does 71% more than Tanker Whirling Smash:
Tanker Whirling Smash (95% damage enhancement): 60.89*(1+.95)=118.7
Brute Whirling Smash (95% damage enhancement + 80 Fury): 57.08*(1+.95+1.6)=202.6
...which isn't to say that TW is bad on tanks, nor that SS is bad on brutes, or any such thing. And of course that exact ratio will not hold for different amounts of Fury, or if you use double Rage instead of single, or if you include Bruising, or et cetera. But the damage gap between Brute SS and Tanker SS is smaller than pretty much any other set they share, until the Tanker's lower damage cap comes into play (which, granted, it does for SS much more easily than other sets). -

Quote:more like I'm aiming for control and solo survival. Only team maybe ten-15% of the time for an occasional TF/SF/Trial.If you want a superb combination in terms of control and team support, do not roll anything dark/ controllter UNTIL Nature Affinity goes live. I am telling you, and would bet all my paychecks...
Dark/Nature Affinity will make you a SUPER debuffing/buffing/healing/Regen/Controls machine ALL IN ONE packg. Wait, young Jedi, just wait, the force WILL BE WITH YOU.
Go to beta, try it out. -
well aint going over this again. got the info that was requested. I'm done hopping through hoops. Take the info or leave it. You dont beleieve in it, I wont loose any sleep. Glad you get many of them in a row even though it suppose to be 5%-15%c chance. I've moved on to brutes and tanks anyways so the issue is irrelevant to me now and moved on awy from this topic. Good bye good day.

yea casino was ok. maybe next summer it will be two new movie concepts

Quote:oh no wonder. never did the clone arcs hero side yet.Jenni Adair is a contact herself (20 - 29 range), introduced by Keith Nance. They have the "clone arcs", the villain version is Dean McArthur and Leonard.

For my favorite content, I'm a big fan of the praetoria arcs (not FW and NW, the story lines when you begin in prae). I've done all 4 so many times, and I think they're just awesome. The story is good, most are fun to play (I love the Syndicate, so yay responsibility arc!). My Praetorian toons also feel a bit special when they leave Praetoria
The order would be something like
- Power (loyalist)
- Warden (resistance)
- Responsibilty (loyalist)
- Crusader (resistance)
There's more, but that's all I can think off now ^^ -
bugger. forgot that summer event was ending already. that seemed short. winter event seems like it last ages.

Quote:lol. was meaning something a bit more recent like in 2001.And you would be correct. I remember when this came out.

Quote:hm for some reason I always thought they came out with a hobbit movie long time ago. But overall lot of movies are being made in threes or more.Story here.
Not sure what to think about this. I was a bit surprised when it was announced that The Hobbit would be two movies long, but three? I'll still watch all three movies, as I think Peter Jackson did a great job with the LOTR trilogy and winning 11 Oscars with a threequel is quite an achievement, but how the heck do you stretch The Hobbit over three films, even with the Appendix material? -
Quote:that would be nice.Been wondering since its prolly next. Any leaks or speculation on what it could be?
Genesis to me means creation or life or something along those lines. So my best guess would be maybe a +HP max total or inherent +regen maybe stamina etc. Something to do with the green and blue bars, for self and or pets. Non-toggle. -
Quote:lol yeah I remember the early BAF days. I was on one that was seconds close. At first couldnt defeat Nightstar/Siege together, they rezzed like three times. 15 seconds left on clock talk about cutting it razor thin.Pretty much.
A Brute, with proper team support, can do pretty much anything a Tanker can do. Tankers really shine when the solid waste hits the oscillating unit and the team is too busy trying to save their own skins to also provide support to a Brute. One of my favorite Tanker moments was a wipe on the last phase of BAF (this was quite some time ago, when BAF failures weren't unheard of), with people coming back from the hospital in a continual trickle and being scythed down as quickly as they could arrive by 9CUs that had ramped way up. With a few purple inspirations, my Elec Armor energy resists, and a flurry of taunts and punches, I was able to gather most of the horrifically deadly 9CU aggro onto myself and get them bunched up long enough for the league to regroup and wipe them out, and we scraped out a win with less than a minute on the clock.
Such moments are less and less common these days, it seems. Chalk it up to power creep, more people knowing the trials, et cetera. If you really want to tank more than anything else, a Tanker is the way to go. Otherwise, Brutes are your AT.
