Quote:Knew it was a matter of time before you showed up.Lol. You are a trip.
I am assuming the gist of your experience is that they are balanced well against each other when using SO's. Looks like the devs nailed it.
Since you mostly solo, may I ask what difficulty you are running at?
No you may not ask. I aint going through anymore fiascos answering anymore of your questions. Kick rocks. -
Quote:i like reading of the to your expencies wit armors of power of will and electormns moving about, i reall enjoy electo arm myselfs and are happy orz that you do oso. i tink electonic dance armo will be beastmoly if i can sav enuff monies to purchase the enhancements that arent normal but like you kil moblies and they drop recips and you get slavage and can put them together with a hammer. i do wish ithad blacksmith sound while u make it though like in wow, wow is da bomb dis game way not wow, i am sad orz. anywy my plan is for having edm armor with caped not hard missy skill of 45 percent ftw. enermize was def a huge help, dubstep armo before the change was slackin. only time i have problemos are aganst toxic wich is pretty rare, aside from spiders mobs. and if i see them the tier 9 sees me thru. kina wish graphs was diff tho, i dont like looking like a few standy things of light. don have much sperenz with WP ever1 says is good but i like not having to worry about how many mobs ar around for survivables. come to conemplates, prolly why i never got invulnimators very high neither. most of my dislikes come from more of i cant kill things very fast or do other fun stuff fast either but thats cuz i have a shield icon not any failing of housemusic armor. i find use sink offenzivles is helpful drains a big chunk then light field keeps em drained sometime i use energize just for the end discount
yea, I guess the lightning field can be useful for keeping them end drained in between the recharges of power sink. Toxic, hell I forgot about the toxic damage I rarely even come across those things overall myself besides the arachnos toxic spiders anda few other arachnos mobs as you mentioned but the other stats help out with those, especially on WP. I dont think they have graphic suppression on electric armor just yet that I know of, but using the black color on the light form of it tends to help I think the dark version of it looks better. Well WP have good suppressed effects though. I think you might enjoy that set also. -
I aint competeting for anything. Look here, either read the stuff or move on
-
Or they get nit picky. They rather look for things to point out instead of actually reading the content. If it aint grammar, it's spelling. If it aint spelling, it's format. If it aint format, it's "what about defense." If it aint defense it's scrappers with defense. There is always something. What I learned, there is no point in trying to please people here because they are never satisfied. So if it that "impossible" to bother with then it's easy. Dont bother. There is no advertisement, there is no questions, it just information and nothing more. Information that no one is forcing them to "bother" with. If they choose to bother with it, then dont complain to me when they could just as easily juts bypassed it and moved on to another post.

Quote:Actually I wasnt much worried about who came and trying to go out my way to attract people. They either come or they dont. I aint worried about who wants to or dont want to take effort to read or not. Or even how many people bother to read it if anyone at all. Not my worry. This is one of those few case where it's take it or leave it. If they take it then there it is. If they leave, then there is the door. No one force them to come here and read it. So in actuality I'm not whanging anyone.Spelling and grammar are one thing.
GiantTestWallO'DOOM is another.
If you're actually looking for information or a discussion on a topic, whanging someone in the face with a Wall cuts down on your chances of getting a decent response. Simply because nobody wants to take the effort and time to parse the information out of the mess. -
have not a single clue about who is this Joss Whedon guy is but the first movie was good and the second should be also from the bits and pieces about it that has been floating around since part one.

Quote:Spelling/grammar on these forums are the least thing I worry about. This aint English class nor am I getting paid for it. So it's irrelevant to me. If the point is gotten across then it's good. If not then maybe it wasnt meant for that particular reader to understand. You might consider separating your paragraphs a bit better. My eyes sorta crossed at this as it looks like a wall of text...
FYI, there were also a few typos you may wish to fix. I'm horrible at spelling myself, so I always end up catching mine after I've posted... sigh. -

nope. some people love their tp powers though, so much they must use it.
I just canceled those affects for me on most toons and use the y or n button. But that pop up can be annoying as crap especiallywhe it's popping up a little bit too often -
Quote:if this is on virtue, I wouldnt mind doing this.Been kicking this around for awhile. Instead of a sewer run, I'd like to get a full league of lowbies to street sweep and level and have a blast. We'd start at level 2 since i want to do the tutorial first (though higher level toons would be welcome to participate).
I figure'd we'd start in Atlas and work our way around to Perez Park. Hopefully we'll find a Kraken or two to punch while we make our way to skyway. If the Trolls want to hold one of thier raves while we're there, even better.
Then we'll hit Talos and work our way to the spot where Adamastor likes to show his face (i'm Pretty sure he'll show :P)
That is, if we level as well as i expect we will. I figure a full league will just decimate everything and the xp will roll in like the tide. Having said that, after level 10 we'll certainly start needing some enhancements, which could slow us down a bit. So i'd look for suggestions on this one. Maybe a break in each zone to shop, then rendevous and start again?
Possible problems I forsee
Lag for some. Not much we can do about it other than suggest people lower thier settings
Will the xp not roll in as well as i expect? Do outdoor mobs still expand thier numbers with larger teams in the area?
Deaths and falling behind in hazardous areas. Hopefully we'll have at least one person per team w/ recall friend.
High level griefers coming in and wiping everything before we can. I think once we had enough interest I'd set up an in-game channel and invite the participants to it to hash out details and pick the date/time to start
Anything else you can think of?
.
If I can get enough people interested, and we can iron out the details I think this would be a blast. -
Quote:because this thread was originally started to compare the pros and cons and comaprison of tanks and brutes, not necessarily about who is the best or worst or do most damage and etc. This thread is not about scrappers not about stalkers, not about green dogs that are shedding hair on the italian leather sofa while drooling over a tofu turkey. It's about brutes and tanks. Not who wins the damage olympics. Why do people making these threads always seem to ignore that in the current game Scrappers and Stalkers are better than both ATs?
Why all the rage over jockeying for last place?
If you're measuring damage output vs survival capacity, the scrapper and stalker forums are filled with DPS that will make your head spin with enough survival packed into most of these super DPS builds to weather not just a pylon but often solo at x8 or crush crates in Lambda. If you can solo x8 you can tank for x8.
Both tanks and brutes are obsolete. Brute less so, sure, because it's a newer AT - all the newer ATs are better designed than their pre-I6 companions. But still obsolete.
Change Confront to Taunt (nobody takes it anyways unless they want to tank) and let this end. Scrapper caps are more than sufficient to tank for a team since any situation where a brute is buffed past scrappers 75% by outside sources* means the team is buffed to near unkillable levels anyways.
* Fire damage, energy damage, smash lethal damage can be exceeded interally, of course, in three armor sets. It only matters on farm maps. In general play I've never really noticed a difference when battling with my /elec brute vs my /elec scrapper, even against Mu. I know the difference is there, but with the speed said Mu die to either I've never seen it be a factor. -
in short I went with concept with my warshade that it's an alien race that comes from a planet where khelds/nictus bonded to the population long time ago and is the norm there.
-
Quote:usually that is how it goes.Heh, ya. I checked some activity (forum activity) from someone who has a Global I wanted. It was YEARS since the last post. Good luck getting them to respond to my tell, if they were even interested in allowing me the name. Heh. By definition, if they came back it would be 50% chance that's when they would want to keep it. ah well.

Quote:yeah I guess it's still early to know too much about them I'll see again later. For the most information, I suggest you go visit Prometheus in Ouro, and read these.
That will get you about all we know on the Coming Storm, and Battalion.
So far I got is that they are some big bad alien race that out to destroy us. Sounds like the rikti background so far when they first arrived. Well I'm sure as they nearer to appearing in game, more information will be available. Thanks for the hlp. -
speaking of zombies, when is the next zombie raid (outside the usual halloween thing)?
-
Quote:cool. and what brings them here? Looking for something to kill? the amount of incarnates set off their radars? scientists messing with another portal entered thier world and pissed them off?Big scary aliens who are going to have massive controls (C'mon, all this new mezz protection in sorcery and lore pets and the tons of mezz resists in IO's now) and heavy damage that will make us cry if our builds are not perfected and dont have all our Incarnate powers.

Quote:meh guess not much information is available about them yet. Paragonwiki is not a friend for thsi topic yet. It just mentions them and rehash what is already in game not much information about them. I think you explained a little bit more about them then paragonwiki on the subject. I guess I'll just wait then till they appear and the information about then becomes more in depth.A mostly mysterious entity who is believed to be an Ascended who then created an army of followers and goes in search of Wells to devour thus adding to its power. The Rikti faced them hundreds of years ago and survived, we are due to face them Soon™. AKA the Coming Storm.
They will serve as the next big bad in the iTrial progression.
Also, ParagonWiki is your friend!! -
who and or what it these Battallion things? what exactly are their role in this game storyline wise?
-
Quote:cool. sounds like these resistant IOs will be useful. My /FA brute has 24% S/L resist from IOs, by accident, with just my Live build copied over. (Technically, I maybe should only claim that 19% is by accident, since I have 5% on Live. But still.) With some tweaks, I'm pretty sure I can have capped S/L resists - again, on a /Fire brute - without giving up much of anything.
I don't know if that makes you happy, but if it doesn't, you probably had wildly unrealistic expectations ;P -
Quote:thought they was adding some nice hard enemies soon. Suppose to be the toughest things out there and even the minions are suppose to be trouble for a single hero/villain and everything in between.Between nukes, new snipes, and whatnot, I'm somewhat concerned about the future difficulty of the game. At that point, +4 enemies won't be lasting long at all, especially on a team.
The funny thing is, I absolutely love these changes. Turning useless powers into useful is always A+ in my book. But what about the enemies? This game is already widely regarded as fairly easy at high levels, especially on teams. Any easier, and I'm unsure how much fun the game will sustain for me over any extended period of time. Being a superhero/villain is great and all, but not if taking down hordes of villains/heroes is as difficult as punting kittens or playing ping pong with a blind person.
Hyperbole aside, what does everyone think? Is the difficulty too easy? Should it change and if so, how?
Personally, I hope they let us up the difficulty past +4 or something like that. With incarnate levels, we're already maxed out fighting mere +1s in Dark Astoria. I'm all for more difficult factions such as those in Night Ward, but implementing more difficult challenges in this way limits what enemy groups we can sink our teeth into, further relegating old enemy factions to "Council" status (i.e. good for farming, but not any challenge for most). -
