  1. I am upset about the interface slot thing too but I am just glad I did not waste time grinding out these non-rewarding trials just to have the power nerf into the ground once I finally get it to tier 4.
  2. Well I knew the interface nerf was coming eventhough it was asked about before and said it was WAI. I am totally shocked about the AV nerf. Never had I thought this was going to happen ever. Its been dev policy until now to totally screw over smashing lethal sets at every possible chance they get. Now that you devs have come to your senses how about pushing some of these changes to other AV critters that have grossly overkill smashing/lethal resists with unstoppable too? Statesman, Ms. Liberty, Hero-1, M.Bison, Tyrant. It totally sucks to be useless for the entire duration of unstoppable. It just isnt fair and it does not make the encounter harder, just frustrating because you cant help your team out at all. Just fix those AVs listed or just cap all critter resists at 95% aside from hamidon, problem solved.

Thats what I hope for this game and that they learn from their mistakes finally and scrap the current powers system thats locked them into not being able to make the needed changes for the better of the game. And I hope the cottage rule gets caught on fire and burned to the ground.

No that applied to super speed and teleport not to fly. Fly could always go faster if they raised the cap but again its like that due to it so called being some what safer than the others. I kind of think its pointless because if your inside a building that advantage is pretty much gone and super speed with stealth IO is actually safer than fly if the mobs have no perception. Its time for travel powers to be reevaluated.
  5. Jacks been messed up ever since the pet recharge nerf. I remember when him and poo-man used to be extremely agressive on fighting mobs (killing everything they aggroed on the way back to you), but now its like they just stand their picking their noses until the main attack is recharged. Some people say pets got worse when they introduced demons to the game but I think it happened before that. I think they should just give them a few more melee attacks so no matter what they will always have an attack ready to use so attacking for them is more fluid instead of attack wait 6 seconds, attack wait 6 seconds.
  6. Let me ask you all this, if you had to pair something other than thorns with gravity what would you pair with it on a dom and what would you pair with it as a controller?
  7. I just want epic powers and power pools to be recolored too. I would love for my super speed color to match my outfit, kind of like how it does on that other super hero game. Also make flying emotes poses permanent instead of something you have to always type in to do.

Costume change emotes I want, something similar to how the sailor senshi and tuxedo kamen transform in the sailor moon series.

I been doing this for one arc in perticular, I even had a red name pm me about it and its still been bugged since issue 7. So what does it really take to get something fixed around here?

What I'm wondering is, why? Unless the power info is wrong or flat out lies, Domination effects are just an extra thing the power does that only kicks in while Domination is active. I'm pretty sure they could have the powers do things besides have a second control effect that last 50% longer when Domination is active. For example, maybe Jolting Chain could have more jumps, or do decent damage. Hot Feet could have a chance for Knockdown.

Since it's possible for pets to inherent buffs from the caster, they could even use this to port Illusion Control to Doms without the problem of the set getting very little benefit from Domination.
I am gonna say that we might get this in the future. Castle was extremely cautious about buffing stuff almost to the point where it didnt make sense. I think that now since he is gone the other powers guys might actually fix some long standing issues if people make a big enough stink about it. Personally I want to see illusion for doms at some point in time.

Which would mean that all of those lvl 50 IOs that everyone has spent billions of infl to create and slot would now become useless, and the 10 per respec that people would be able to strip down would sell for much much less than they do now. So basically, the many people who waited until lvl 50 to outfit their toons with lvl 50 purps, pvp IOs, and whatever else top-lvl IOs they have, would have to spend all that time and infl all over again in order to optimize their toons. They could lvl to 60 (which would last a month or two), and keep what they have, but it wouldn't even get out of beta without HUGE complaints if they didn't up the IOs.
Again thats your choice, since they never turn red there is no rush to change them all out at once. Also due to ED there is not much benefit in making the bonuses higher anyways.

And the 41-50 stuff was planned from the start, they just didn't have the time and resources the launch with it (and there are still remnants of this from the past, like Titan enhancements). Tons of systems have been added since then that work with 50 as the cap, that would have to be reworked.

What you're suggesting is that they devote an absurd amount of time and resource to making the game work at level 60 for absolutely no payoff. Upping the level cap now with no rhyme, reason, or planning would be a massive waste of everything. There isn't anything that increasing the level cap would do for us that we can't already achieve, but it comes with the downside of requiring a gigantic amount of extra effort.

If the only reason you want to increase the level cap is because other MMOs do it, then I refer you to the nearest bridge.
No you just sound like all the other players who are terrified their enhancements are going to turn red but forgot that they are using IOs.

    * It would require an entire 10 levels worth of new story arcs and task forces just to keep people busy. If you added 10 levels and gave them less content than we have now at max level, you would actually be giving people at max level less to do which is the exact opposite of a good idea, and the opposite of what adding content is supposed to achieve.
    * Suddenly, things like safeguards/mayhems, HOs, purple sets, the purple patch (it currently isn't set up to handle anything past +/- 50), mothership raids, incarnate trials, and badges have to be retailored with level 60 players in mind.
    * All existing arch-villains, heroes, and high-end story arcs are no longer for max level players. Do you want to throw everything onto the same pile as random story arc #8675309 that nobody runs?
    * All the high-end task forces are no longer high-end task forces. If you had to exemplar to run an ITF, would you?

It sounds like your solution is to just make all those things be for level 60s too. In which case, what is the point of adding more levels if it doesn't change anything? If the only point to adding more levels is to add exp grind and obtaining more powers, the incarnate system already does that. The only thing adding more physical levels would do is throw off the balance of the game and add tons more work than is necessary.

It's not about "laziness" in not wanting to have to add 5 new zones; dozens of story arcs; ten new task forces; update tons of existing arcs, task forces, and trials; fix tons of issues and bugs; rewrite everything; and retailor all existing high-level content and rewards. It's about how stupid it is to go do that when it's completely unnecessary and a waste of developer time to do so, when raising the level cap would achieve literally nothing.
Sorry but I fell out of my chair when you said pvp. I am not even going to addressed that one.

If people are using IOs they are not going to suddenly just go red all of sudden. People keep forgetting this. As for as HOs are concerned they can just go back and make the bonus static as they should have done in the first place. As for as the arcs and stuff the same thing could be said about all the lower level content when the level cap was 40, they added more for 41-50. I do not see how thats any different. Its just going to take alot more of it. Moving developer resources to things like that instead of wasting time on the AE could easily fix this on the arcs issue. Lastly given how easy it is to make arcs in the AE and the devs have superior tools to that I do not see why we do not have way more missions being pumped out than we do now.

Considering the design of the rest of the game it might even require 2 whole new zones.. one blue and one red side with 53-62 level villans, a whole new set of contacts, new story arcs and quite possible even new enemy groups to battle or at least new factions of older groups. Then we get into is 60 level enough? I picked it sort of assuming we'd gain one of the current incarnate powers every other level BUT realistically the rate beyon 32 in one power every 3 levels so 1 at 49 (that we have now) a 2nd at 52, 3rd at 55, and so on... using that scale we'd get the Omega power at level 79. Now we seriously need a new zone and potentially new enemies.. No way the current 50 levels survive long roaming a zone with 80+ level villains. So now we are talking between 10 and 30 new level , new zones new enemies and .. what NO Task Forces or Strike Forces through 30 levels of play???

See just like Lothic said they's be better off introducing COH2 with features like that built in than trying to add that much new content now to what we have.
Well they would have alot of that stuff done had they not wasted so much time and energy into AE. Its all about priorities and clearly the devs have alot of stuff in the wrong priority. There is no reason they should be letting the super uber lag continue on with the incarnate trials. There is no reason why we should have so many long standing unresolved bugs in this game. A good of example of 2 we still have are the wierd graphic holes in the final room of the LGTF. That map has never displayed correctly for me since that tf was created. I do not have one of those half ***** video cards either so I know its not me as other players I have teamed with have the same problem. Seer Marino's arc still has the wrong way point even after I have bugged it since issue 7 and its still not fixed. But let there be some worthless badge that doesnt work that gets fixed in 5 minutes.

It's an ***-load of work for something that will hardly matter in the long run. Their energy is best spent adding more worthwhile(and by this I mean fun) content.

--and it appears Ironblade long since said this D'oh!
You act like the incarnate system isnt a grind. Its potentially never ending grind where you can never possible ever get that very rare, where as the level cap has a definate end in sight until the next increase.

It would require a revamp of most game systems and most enemy groups and - here's the important part - IT WOULD GIVE NO BENEFIT. Raising the level cap serves no inherent purpose. Raise it to 60, people rush to 60 and start complaining again. Raise it to 70 and the same happens. Much better to stop at a specific number, never raise it, and head off all that stupidity.
No thats just a cop out, people are worried about all their enhancements suddenly being invalidated. So what, it just gives you more reason to go with IOs instead. For the issue with HOs all the devs have to do is add a little bit of code that makes the bonus for HOs static, problem solved. They just add another tier of gear for those who want to get it while everyone else can just keep what they had.

When they start to say "forget it" its a cause for concern.
This is why I been boycotting the market and have been since about issue 11 or so. Its just not worth feeding their market greed. I suggest those who are tired of it to do the same. I can guarantee you can get the stuff just farming it yourself via flashback or tickets than you will waiting overnight for those bids to fill in. What I been doing lately is making lowbie alts and leveling them mostly in the AE and doing tfs and tip missions. Doing all the 3 of these means I do not have to look for the market for a single thing. All of them will have the uniques they need at the earliest possible levels and I am not hurting for salvage either. Once they hit 50 I cash in the a-merits for IOing out the builds they need.
  19. This is why I think they need to let us save some kind of blue print of the items. Have it apply to all non-crafted or non-personal items so you can easily restore the base incase someone screws it up. I am just glad the other person I share the base with has no idea how to use the interface otherwise I would be raging right now too.

Unless you want them to just raise the level cap by 1 every issue, which one do you think it funner? Raise level cap or a new incarnate power every issue?

I for one think gaining the ability to punch stuff so hard it explodes is funner than getting hand clap as a set mule.

They have also said that iPowers ARE NOT ending with omega.
I would rather have more levels with more actual powers not incarnate power. for the most part all these powers are just fluff because we cant use the level shifts outside of the dumb broken non-rewarding trials (still borked giving me only uncommons). It does not feel like the 1-50 experience at all with the incarnate system. Nor does it feel like 51+ like it does in other MMOs.
  21. so the short answer is the devs are just lazy? I am not buying that. If every other MMO under the sun can do this I dont see what is holding back the devs.
  22. So base lovin finally??? I can haz smaller size orbits of control???

It's expected that we will pay a bit for recipes and rare salvage but these folks purposely marketing cheap common salvage is too much.

I really don't even want to build my toons any longer and if I don't build them why play them, and you see where that leads. I have spoken to many of the people that I play with and most share similar views on this subject. maybe this game is getting long in the tooth.

I mean I have been playing for a while, I have the means to make the inf in order to build what I need, but it is no wonder with an untouchable economy and unforgiving reward system that we do not retain more people in the game. If it weren't for the PVP-IO farmers there would be none on the market. As well I have run TF's and Trials out the wazoo and still as long as I have played this game cannot say that I have had enough purples dropped to me to make a complete set, I have had some don't get me wrong but now with the economy the way it is I would sure sell it before I would ever consider using one.

I am sorry but the Devs for not wanting people to farm are making this a farmers game that it pretty much all folks can do to get by any longer. All that aside the market needs looked at, it is out of control.

That's my grip and no I have no possible solutions this time only grief. but then again that's not my job, I would like to continue playing this game for a while but man every time I set foot in Wents, it hurts.
Easy fix dont use the market for salvage. I sure as hell dont. The market has just become a ceaspool of greed since its inception and thats all it will ever be so long as they keep the double blind system. Just do a few AE missions and use the tickets to get what you need. I knew things were getting out of control so I created SG bases across multiple servers to hoard salvage for when I need it. I just log on another character till I find what I need or I use AE tickets. Its just not worth feeding their market greed.

I can tell you know its going to be a long hard road unless you solo most of it. I been down that road, it was my first lvl 50 villain and knowing what I know now I would have done something else easier thats actually playable on teams without me pulling my hair out. If we had the powersets we have now I would have gone with thermals first to 50 since it makes it alot easier to deal with the shortcommings of the ninjas.
