  1. Dominators can solo, and Plant Control is one of the easiest sets to learn on due to the handy soft control option at level. 8 (Seeds of Confusion)
On early levels when being on big teams you *might* feel yourself worthless until Domination, due to the number of enemies. AoE soft control gets really handy in these situations though.

Gravity Control is being disrespected due to the intangibility power, (Dimension Shift) but it's really good. Takes half of the mobs away from the game for a moment, giving a breather to your team, making it an excellent panic button.
Ice Assault can be really endurance heavy, but it offers the second best, if not the best DPS. Also when coming with Power Boost, you can control things for a long time.

To get a good hang of it, I think you should take a look on
    this awesome US guide:
Veni. Vidi. Vici: The Complete Guide to Domination (Waybreaker) [I6]
  2. Levitate does a fair amount of damage (3.6667 BI)

I have a Dominator with Telekinetic Thrust and Levitate slotted for accuracy and recharge. If the opponent has no knockback protection he is going to have a spin. Add hasten to fasten up things and your Dominator has become a Juggler! Wish there was "JUGGLE" above the opponent's head each time.

Interesting build Kitty, I have considered something similar myself...

Does anyone have any experience with how good whirling hadns and terrify are in terms of damage output?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Whirling Hands and Terrify do the exactly same damage. Their damage is very close to Mesmerize. Anyhow I would pick Terrify for it's fear effect, haven't played /Energy that far so I do not know much about Whirling Hands except for it's damage.
  4. Last time when I posted here I was slightly drunk.. hmm.

    Psionic Dart - pretty rubbish

    [/ QUOTE ]
The idea of it isn't damage exactly, it is very fast and thus *great* to build Domination on.

    [ QUOTE ]
    Mind Probe - ok attack.

    [/ QUOTE ]
An essential part of your attack chain, and it's a great attack! You can fire it off at 10 feet so it is actually "ranged" (The other melee ordinaries are 5 feet)

    [ QUOTE ]
Telekinetic Thrust - Can be handy but nothing great.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I agree. In the hands of average-Joes this is not that good. In the RV event I used this to along with Levitate to juggle with people with no knockback/up/down protection

    [ QUOTE ]
    Mental Blast - pretty poor.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yuck! This power roots you for so long time with not so great damage, so... ggh.

    [ QUOTE ]
    Psychic Scream - Pretty poor.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Roots you for the exactly long time as Mental Blast, does a bit more damage than Mental Blast though. I skipped it.

    [ QUOTE ]
Drain Psyche - Not too shabby.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Haha! I love this! On the RV event I could shut down any darned /Regen Scrapper's regeneration! It also gives you more endurance recovery than a fully slotted Stamina.

    [ QUOTE ]
    Subdue - Nothing special.

    [/ QUOTE ]
This is a good part of your attack chain. It has a long range, does nice damage and immobilizes! (Pretty much like Impale)

    [ QUOTE ]
Psionic Lance - Really great power but we don't get it till level 35.

    [/ QUOTE ]
If someone has enough nerves to stay in a spot for 5 seconds while the victim is locked down, this is a great power.

    [ QUOTE ]
Psychic Shockwave - Again really great power but then it should be, it's our last.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I agree. Having a powerful PbAoE which recharges every 10 seconds is like driving with a Ferrari.

    Just my personal opinion...
  5. Hello Finnish fellow! I guess the problem is within a few attacks, according to my CoH / CoV Character Builder there are a few attacks with unnaturally high endurance cost for being early moves.

    End--Rchg
    9----8 Slug
    10---8 Buckshot
    15--16 M30 Grenade
    10--20 Beanbag
    14--12 Sniper Rifle
    22--20 Flamethrower

Go figure! And note that their base accuracy isn't that good. My character builder says it is 5% for most of the things. For most radiation blasts the base accuracy is 10%!

I think it is just you using attacks very much, that drains endurance worse than a Mu Guardian!
  6. There's "Corpse-Dancing" from both sides. Usually people who do it are new to PvP thinking that every hero/villain is as strong as an EB.

Yeah, about Stalkers. One night I was PvPing for 3 hours total, got +0 reputation, +0 bounty. All because of the killstealing Stalkers... Pfft. Whenever I have one fully debuffed and shot some blasts one comes and uses AS and says "thnkx for teh kill !!"

I think it was a bad idea to put "Stalkers are great for newcomer players" and now we have tons of Stalkers running around.

And being a villain doesn't mean you must be rude. (Points at the gloaters)
  7. Yesterday I was watching duels & dueling myself with my /Kin Corruptor in Siren's Call. When it was my turn, I did my usual slows and other funky stuff. But whenever the Tanker I was facing did some heavy shots on me, I used Transfusion.

"Don't use Transfusion, it's bugged it gives +regen to the enemy"

It was a fellow Stalker giving this advice, and I followed it. After that I did not use Transfusion at all, just avoided the damage. And it worked, or at least I thought so, the Tanker was the weaker link no doubt.

So is /Kin heal trashed for PvP? Or is it just a bug that needs to be fixed? Or is it just me? If this is true I just might make either /Cold or /Rad Corruptor for the evil slows or the fast self heal.

    So, is it true?
  8. Do not except fancy art, except something, duh, creative

Just something different than songs and stories, like a rotten cherry ontop of a cake! The image is hosted in imageshack and I saved it as .png so the picture won't be messy as .jpg pictures tend to get.

    Archetype Comic

Just something that I have gotten in mind, and put in MS Paint. Oh well...
  9. Maybe swap those damage enhancements in your Domination-hold into hold durations? That was one thing that hit my eye

"If you want damage, make a corruptor! Or a brute!" It's good to be different, if you like using damages instead of hold durations, be it, But I'd use hold durations instead.
  10. Carrion Creepers are hentai tentacles which are fortunately Plant Dominators only! It's very chaotic, very very chaotic when you unleash it. Especially on an 8 man hero group in a middle of a fight
  11. Usually when I have hit the Squeaky Button there is like 2 mobs left So I use it to recover endurance Plus I use it to get out of sticky situations such as bosses (D'oh?)
  12. Brawl does drop toggles too, doesn't it? It does that awful amount of times comparing to it's recharge time.
  13. Go Dominators!

I was having the same feeling when we went on a 10 time domination in the Arena with 3 other guys. The scores went something like this

Me, dominator, 19 frags, having 3 lives left.
Corruptor, 8 frags, fought him till he died :P
Brute, 6 frags, he was dark melee so yeeh!
Mastermind, 4 frags, You can't do much with just 2 pets

We were all level 11 so I got my frags from my lovely skewer most of the time + DoT toxins.

Me versus a regen scrapper, oh well, I don't know, maybe a Spirit Tree so I get a high regeneration and don't know how useful Carrion Creepers are on 1 v 1 matches.
