After one issue launch, I can't remember which, there were problems with people's mail in game. Lost recipes and influence and such.
So when I got home I checked and sure enough, I lost a couple recipe's.
I made a ticket and tongue in cheeked that in addition to my two Enfeebled Actions and a Positrons Blast that there may have been a Ragnarok, a couple Hecatomb's, and an Apocalypse that got lost too.
After being grilled about which character sent what and to who, I got everything I actually did lose and everything I never had.
After admitting this on another forum and shamed for said act I held a couple CC's and gave away the Hec's.

Yeah, I picked the wrong time to start converting purples. I think I'll just sit on the ones I have for now.
Do you all remember when purple's only cost around 50mil? And even then people thought that was a Satan wrought evil. haha -

Ok, here is what you get with this build but before that a disclaimer:
- This is a farm build and I although I have done a ITF or two with it, I don't think this is an optimal team build.
- I have Transfusion slotted with what I actually have on my char-toon so feel free to put in it whatever you like.
Ok, the good stuff:
- Softcapped S/L Defense: with a fire/kin you have to be in the middle of the action so S/L defense, in my opinion, is pretty necessary. And if it isn't, having it sure does make me FEEL better.
- 105% Recharge w/o Hasten: You get to fire off your epic AoE (Fissure) every 5 seconds and Fire Cages every 2 seconds.
- 78% Accuracy
- Mag 8 protection from Knockback and Immobilize
- Hot Feet slotted for endurance reduction whilst still giving you the defense you are after with the Multi Strike set. This is taking your endurance use per second from 1.04 to .54.
- Taking from LocalMan's excellent advice on pet slotting I put two Soulbounds in there for the Recharge proc and the large Regen set bonus. Really like this and can't wait to test it out.
- 202% Recovery
- Lots of wiggle room: this build isn't tight. You can take slots out of Hasten, Stamina, Health, Tough, Smoke or Earths Embrace and stick them wherever you like without TOO much detriment to the build.
- If you want to get a tiny bit more Recharge/Accuracy/Recovery you can change out the Positrons in Fire Cages to Grav Anchor, which is a purple set. However, besides Fissure and Hot Feet, Fire Cages is your only other AoE damage dealer. And besides, Fire Cages immobilizes your targets for 27 seconds on a 2 second recharge and that is unenhanced.
Be careful in your quest for softcapping your defenses...because you're going to have to sacrifice something and that something is usually recharge.

Does one not need any accuracy in Siphon Speed when facing +4s?
However, for farming (which I would guess, and I am stereotyping here, is what a large part of the fire/kin community uses them for) one doesn't usually go +4/x8. +0 or +1 is about as high as one usually gets when one is aiming for farming efficiency.
I do understand that the OP is not aiming for a farming build though. -
If I had known I would be using Math for real world types a sh...stuff...like figuring out how to get Perma PA at level 20, I would have applied myself more in school.

Targeting Drone...but that's hella expensive on the endurance and I think it's about half the ToHit boost that Aim does.

I like this one a little bit better for the amount of battlefield control you have with Thunderstrike and EM Pulse.
With Thunderstrike I have it at a 12 second recharge and a 13 second stun but if you wanted it as a damage power, that option is available. It's a 7.5 second mag 3 stun without enhancers.
In addition you got Static Discharge for another damage dealing power, albeit of the cone variety. With your army getting the attention, you have time to line up your shots though, every 4 seconds.
I also like that the defensive numbers aren't so over the softcap.
You have all three positional defenses capped and 4 out of the 7 typed defenses as well with 2 of the 3 only 2% off which your Prot Bots should take care of, when they are out.

As you can see there is a lot of stuff way past the soft cap so even if you don't have your Protector bots out you will still be good to go. However, if you think it's a waste I'm sure you can play around with the pet sets to get it lower.
I also have the Incarnate Nerve Radial Boost on, so be aware if you want a different incarnate, your defense will go down a bit.
I don't know, but I have heard, that the game will recognize the 44.8% as 45% but again I would need someone to verify that.
The only thing I don't like about this build is the lack of attacks which I have rectified with my next build.

If you take the Chill Epic Pool or the Mace Villain Epic, you can bump your S/L defense up to 55% which would free up some slots maybe to put elsewhere you may think your lacking.

Hate to necro this thing but where is your build Nethergoat?
edit: in the last build you did you had Air Superiority six slotted with Mako's Bite. You could you replace Kick with Boxing (and six slot it instead) and then take out AS altogether. This way you could pick another power, like Ignite, and still have your ranged Defense soft capped.
Of course all this is moot if you actually use Kick and Air Superiority. -
From what I can see of your build you're not taking advantage of set bonuses and you're putting slots where they no longer need to be...which is fair enough as you're working on how things were built two years ago.
Here are some tips:
-I have the Nerve Radial Boost for Accuracy and Defense. If you want a build that will get you to the soft cap for Smashing Lethal defense, you're going to want to grab a Epic Power Pool that's shield gives you defense instead of resistance. Fire Shield is res.
-You have three slots in Hasten, which USED to be the standard but once you start slotting sets to take advantage of global recharge you just don't need three slots...hell, you barely need two (if you have the cash).
-You have 6 slotted both Transference and Fulcrum shift. Keep the six slots in Trans but IO it up with Efficacy Adapters for the recharge bonus and stick two slots into FS and put 2 recharge reducers in there.
-Hot Feet only needs 5 slots
-Siphon Power only needs 1 slot
-Siphon Speed only needs 1 slot
-With the fighting pp I used to think like you but the three powers you take are highly useful: Boxing only needs four slots to give you a whopping 3.75% defense to S/L. Tough only REALLY needs two slots and I have seen it one slotted. But you can stick the two Steadfast's, giving you 3% defense and knockback protection, in there and call it a day. And Weave is all kinds of awesome: LotG recharge mule, as well as a 48% resistance to mezzes and of course, properly slotted, 7% S/L defense.
-You don't need three slots in Health and Stamina...two will do just fine.
-stick some Expedient Reinforcements in your imps...good bonus to your recharge.
-there really isn't a need to have 6 slots in Fireball. Your 5 Posi's do just fine.
-and you don't need Consume cause you already have Transference.
-You have 4 gravitational anchors and two trap of the hunters...lose 1 slot and get a 5th GA and boom! 10% global recharge!
Do you have a lot of money?
Are you looking at farming?
Are you planning on teaming mostly or soloing?
Thematically, do you need both SS and SJ?
What fire powers do you have to have from the Fire Epic? -
My wife has an Ice/Storm toon and I was hoping to piggy-back on this thread to see if the following is a good build:
She is sitting at 45.6% S/L Defense, which I believe is the soft cap and a really, really nice 132.5 recharge.
She doesn't, however, have Shiver, Hurricane or Thunderclap and I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing.
Suggestions?

What you mention in the OP sounds like you're thinking of the changes to Freaks and Family - both had their XP and Inf values reduced in the 45-50 range, becuse they're easier than standard enemies. I don't think Demons were affected.
If you had the Farm on a Vigilante and went to the Rogue Isles, the mission would be removed from your list, and talking to the contact will get it back.
If the mission was completed, even if you hadn't meant for it to be, the GMs cannot fix it - missions are meant to be completed, so they have no reason to have a tool to "uncomplete" a mission.

I remember a long time ago it was said that popular farming maps were going to get nerfs and timers. And by nerfs I mean, xp and drop rates.
The Freakshow map and the demon map are two that immediately spring to mind.
Now, I recall that if you had the farm missions already, nothing would happen to them however if after the patch you acquired the missions then you would get the new and improved(read nerfed) versions of said farms.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Playing with it last night, the increased def seemed to make a huge difference in survivability. I hardly ever had to pop a purple or use transfusion.
However, I am open to suggestions: where can I take slots from and still have good def/res?

Yeah, I saw that mistake last night...
New build...very expensive. Some of the PVP enhancements don't even have records of them selling in the AH so I'll have to get those the hard way.
I have everything but the PVP enhancements and the Microfilament Hami O's.
