  1. I've got a lvl 50 mace/will brute (Pumkin Eater) that can play on Saturday. I've never run a hami, so I hope you can bare with me.
  2. Great! Thanks a lot guys! I didn't think about that. A classic "Oh yea..." on my part. I thought that option was just for veteran awarded stuff. Again, thanks
  3. Like it says, How? I crafted them through the Basic Forge. When I made a TP room, all I saw to put in the space were beacons and raid tp pads. Am I missing a base component or badge?
  4. Nice to know it's not just me. I put in a support ticket and they are having me run their Game Advisor[sic] software. Maybe with this info they can figure it what going on.
  5. I've been running a 'lectric/ice controller for a few weeks. Just got her up to 19 last night. She's a riot to play. For once, the fact that controllers take forever to kill anyone isn't much of a problem since the bad guys are either sapped out of their brains or slowed down to a crawl - or both! She doesn't even have the fitness pool (why bother with I19 right around the corner.) Does anyone have any suggestion for a higher level build? Or play advice? One thing I noticed. The sapping seems to have a curve when I fight lower or higher level guys. She saps for more against lower and less for higher level. Do endurance drains scale like damage? Can't wait to get ice-coated gremlins!
  6. Did I just read somewhere that Dark Aura's auras would not untrigger Hide? Either in GR or issue 19?
  7. My first lvl 50 on red side was a plant/ice dom. CONFUSION ftw. I compensated for the slow recharge by cranking the number of attackers up. By the time I mopped them up the confusion was up for the next mob. The big problem was then the abundance of bosses I had to deal with. Not impossible if you are careful, but doms are super week in durability. a couple of taps and its off to the hosp. Eyes open. Plant pets are just there to distract the enemy.

I also have a Grav/Fire that I like. Lots of damage. Like playing a Blaster but with a few controls. The pet makes the build much much easier.

And I started a fire/stone dom not long ago. I plan to combine the two auras and the pets for globs of damage. Still below lvl 20, but it is fun to play.

I figure when I see doms in game 50% are mental and 25% are plant. If you want something different work on a Earth. I rarely even see Earth controllers. Earth/Energy seems to work well. Or Earth/Elec.

If you join teams, I've found that ranged attacks are what keep me more a live. If I start wading in with melee, someone usually beats me up. MMV depending on healers or not.

    Grav/psy

I've got a grav/psy, but she's a little annoying to play. The cast time for psy is slow. The effect slooowwwwly reaches the target. I've had trouble against large groups in the past too. The damage and secondary effects are ok. Makes a pretty decent blapper, although with the pet and its repel, melee might not be as potent. Same with electrical - great melee in a poor melee environment. Personally, the best I've played (my personal play style) is grav/fire - mostly ranged attach and great globs of damage. Plays more like a blaster with a little control. Rather than a controller with more attack. You game play might generate different mileage
  9. I'm all for controllers and dominators. Gravity is the last one that I don't have a pet for and it's killing me. They are very hard to play. Propel is great for damage but it needs accuracy slotted bad. I just dinged 26 on my grav/fire dominator over the weekend and discovered the joys of wormhole. A great game exploit is to tp the mobs into the side of the wall. Sometimes they get their heads stuck and can't get out, but you can still wail on them
  10. Personally, I'd slot the holds for holds and stun for stun but everything else for damage. The set is control light compared to the other sets and you need to end a fight as fast as possible. Mitigation is at a premium until you get you pet.
  11. My Dark/Dark Brute flies through the mobs. I read how dark impacts on fury, but I don't see it. I consistently max out the bar and keep it up. The biggest problem for me is endurance, which I'm working on now. I don't even have the #3 attack - horrible activation time. I run the fear aura and jump into big mobs and just start swinging. I have a D/D tank, too, but it was very hard to get to lvl 25 - it ate endurance like there was no tomorrow. Brutes, get all the good powers much quicker then Tanks or Scrappers. Just make sure you get a anti-knockback proc.
  12. As my first time creating an arc I made a simple run, saved everything and then tested it. I chose not to publish it because I wanted to work on it some more. I left AE. When I came back I couldn't find my "save game." I found my custom enemies, but not the arc itself. Am I just blind and can't find the "open" button?
  13. Same thing happened to me last month. I ended up contacting ncsoft. Others have contacted the developers. Its a known issue, that they hope to fix. Unfortunately they reset my overall time to give me my reward. Not all my time just for the missed reward. So instead of officially getting it on the 4th, I got it on the 15th. I lost like 2 or 3 weeks.
  14. Is anyone else having this problem? Lately when I go to the market - either red or blue - I get no mouse-over information. Is there a graphics setting I de-toggled or is something broke when they patched last?
  15. Share Pain is one of those great and hateful powers. My arsonist likes to run right into the midst of the mob while everyone else hangs back and lets loose the hail of lead. I'm always hitting him with Share Pain because his hp drops to almost nothing within seconds of his Leroy Jenkins maneuver. You just have to be careful because share pain also prevents you from being healed - even from your own greens. Watch the aggro and the blinking share pain symbol. I totally discount the damage bonus but like the "near zero to full" hp boost on my defenseless minions.
  16. I'll see what Support says. I was just thinking that it wouldn't be all that difficult for there to be an account timer or something when you log in - like at the "choose your server page" or a switch in the options section. Thanks for the suggestions.
  17. Is there a way ingame to check when you are to receive your veteran awards? I thought I was to ding up to 15 months last week. The NCsoft site used to track my schedule, but they stopped at 12 months, even though I've re-upped my subscription for another year+2 (thanks for the Christmas bonus).
