  1. Well, time for me to go to my dr appt and then going to see The Avengers for the 2nd time and when I get back the servers better be up...or else!

  2. I'll be running (leading if possible) leagues to do the new Mag. trial tonight (unless something unforeseen comes up).

The trial is pretty easy overall...here's a brief run-down:

Phase 1: Defeat a total of 250 mobs
Phase 2: Defeat 3 AVs (3 AVs are: Shadow-Hunter, Evil Praetorian Manticore (forgot his name!) and Nega-Pendragon (Evil Praet. version of Hero 1)).
    Phase 3: Defeat Black Swan
    MOVIE/CUTSCENE TIME!
    Phase 4: Defeat Tyrant

    Ta-da!

The 3 AVs don't have to be done in a particular order but usually it goes Shadow-Hunter, Nega-Pendragon and then Evil_Praet_ver_of_Manticore.

Evil_Praet_ver_of_Manticore tp's around every so often and doesn't really do that much damage (even his 'nuke' Rain of Arrows is meh).

Black Swan summons portals that bring out little Shadow Imps that go directly to her to heal her (I think; we never really established what they did during beta as far as I know).

One note; it seems either Black Swan has the ability to cast Barrier or she gains (steals) the league's Barrier power if it's used by/on her. So do NOT use Barrier when you're around her.

Then the fight with Tyrant. Everyone gets a temp power (in the new temp power action bar) called Quills of Jocas (I think) and there are 6 beams of white light (pillars) surrounding the edge of the battlefield with Tyrant.

These are "connections to the Well" that help Tyrant. Using the temp power on the pillars severs the connection to the well and gives (supposedly) everyone in the league a lvl shift (+1).

Unless things have changed, it only took one use of the temp power to sever 1 connection; so 6 people stationed at the pillars to take them pillars out and you're good to go.

So in theory once all 6 pillars are out, everyone should be lvl 50 +9 (50 +3 plus the +6 from the connections to the well). I say in theory because when I ran the trial on beta I only ever saw me being at +9 for like 1-3 seconds but maybe the Real Numbers is slow in updating....whatever.

Tyrant really only has 1 powerful attack; it's basically Zeus' lightning attack but it's called something else. It's kind of like the blue patches of doom; but in lightning form...just don't stand still when the lightning attack happens.

There are some Olympian Guardians that spawn and supposedly help out Tyrant but, again, no one knows what they actually do. They're all gray-conned to us so...they don't really pose a threat and from what I recall they don't give Tyrant an hp +regen buff so...*shrugs*

Around 35-50% HP left on Tyrant the "well" will start to help Tyrant out by giving him more HP regen....just continue to pound on him and he'll eventually get to around 20% HP left...at some time around there he'll lose the well's favor and then turn into a gray-conned lvl 50 AV (he'll turn shorter in length too)...beat him down and ta-da you win!

Lore pets really help in Black Swan and Tyrant's fights. In fact usually the fight with Black Swan took longer than Tyrant's fight because Black Swan can take your +1 lvl shifts away (plus portals or something healing her).

    Nope, I love faster travel.

If there was a power that allowed me to tp to the mission entrance and it was up (able to be used) every 30s, I'd get it and use it every time.

I've seen it all (scenery) by the time a new issue hits live so...meh.

Hmm, looking at things and after playing my WS a bit more...I feel bad because my WS wasn't as "uber" as I remember him being heh....

So if I were to go to a tri-form build...how do people usually play them? Start in Human form, go in Eclipse, go to dwarf (or nova) form and blast away?

Just doing a few ITFs and just wasn't impressed at my survivability on it (died more than I thought I would even with cap'd resistance).

Forgot how annoying it was to fight mobs that didn't leave carcasses behind (2nd mission of ITF; darn nictii )...can't heal!

So that's what got me thinking of going w/ nova form and being a 'blaster'...*shrugs*

I know ITF isn't the best yard stick to measure by because even my DA tanker (with 45% S/L def) has issues with it at some times (cascading def failure because of no def. debuff resistance).

Do you have the data chunk for that build you did Stone by chance? The link doesn't work for me
  8. Rats, I was hoping for 50% (or more) on the enhancement storage slots

Edit: It also uses the pre-issue 22 Eclipse slotting, so you'll wanna re-evaluate that.

    Hmm, thanks for that.

Only 3 attacks (human form at least) though? Did you have enough recharge where you didn't notice any slow down in the attack chain or did you swap to dwarf to attack or a mixture?

Below is what I did real quick like. Not even enough rchg to get Eclipse perma (it's perma with Hasten being perma). But no real defense to speak of; which is I guess where Barrier may come into play.

    Warshade help

No build atm; looking for one.

    Playstyle? Awesome.

No wait...I mean, in melee most of the time. I figure with the incarnate powers (Clarion or Melee Hybrid) I'll have mez protection in human form too so that's not an issue.

Budget is nothing huge...I can do purples but nothing too overboard (purples in every power or what have ya).

Figure I need enough recharge for perma-Eclipse...beyond that, I guess def to survive while I'm not in Crab form? Then again, Barrier could help with that...*shrugs*

Oh yes, sorry. I'm fine with keeping 'crabby' I don't care for the squid form but can take that as well if need be....especially now with the KB to KD/KU proc/IO coming!

    Warshade help

    Hello all

So I come to ask for some build advice....with i23 coming and the changes to the form activation times....I'm looking at incarnating my lvl 50 WS.

While lvl'ing him up he was pretty much an all human build. He has the crab form but that was mainly cause it was an 'extra' power and didn't have anything else to choose/want.

At the moment he has almost all of the human powers except Grav. Snare, Dark Nova, Starless Step, Nebulous Form and Shadow Slip.

Looking at it, I wouldn't mind having Shadow Slip but obviously not a huge priority.

I know with enough rchg bonuses, I can get Eclipse perma and therefore wouldn't need all of the shield powers from the secondary but...still useful to have or ?

Any thoughts or builds you can point me to would be great and appreciated
  14. heh, so I guess a hero tp foe'd you in?
  15. Another sad note saying I don't get all the mailings

hehe, yeah when I first used that sniper power, I was like, "heey, those are photon torpedoes!"

Too bad I can't fit that power into my build
  17. As has been said before while SG:U was still airing, I watched all of the episodes and, yes, the 1st season was meh at best for 90% of it, it was "different" and wasn't all that bad.

If they just cut out about 4-7 of the "bickering" or "love triangle" episodes out and done more story it would have been nice.

Or just renewed it for Season 3.

Only good thing from SG:U was finding out about Robert Carlyle....one of the main reasons why I watch Once Upon A Time.

    Yes.

If I remember correctly they said in the video (and in the game) it says, "chance for kb to become KD or KU."

    So....however that works...

Believe me, I was ready to do it too before I realised it wouldn't work.
Yeah I thought of that about a minute after I "edited" my OP. *sigh* oh well.
  20. One of the few I've been able to "attend"; was fun

Zwillinger and Think Tank mainly talked about the new Summer Blockbuster event(s) that are coming July 10th (according to Massively ).

One question that was answered was that there just might be some sort of event at/in the Ziggurat. So....that'll be interesting

The Summer Blockbuster event is on beta now and it's pretty fun (did 2 runs of it myself).

    Edit:

Oh and one of the choices for a reward for completing the Summer event is a new IO set. It's a "damage" set; the "proc" changes the power it's slotted into, from a KB power to a KD/KU power.

That is SO going into my Wormhole power!
  21. Have fun Steele!

So I guess I'll say here instead of making my own post but...

    I'm baaaack!

My face isn't too swollen from my upper & lower jaw surgeries....but feeling good enough to play games so....here's hoping that I get some things done while I still have 2 weeks off of work!

    Edit:

Oh and I've joined the Freakshow now. With some titanium screws and plates in my jaws I have super powers!

    :rawr:
  22. Just my 2 inf., and actually being serious here, for the test program for the 4 weeks, why not have the time window to claim the freebie be expanded?

Or maybe save that for when/if this Freebie giveaway goes live? I guess it's because of "Freebie Friday!" but...not everyone logs in on Friday. *shrugs*

    Not a huge issue but...

If there was a way to have a 'token' of sorts be given to the account once the 'freebie friday' starts so that I could login, I'd get a 'token' and then I could claim that freebie whenever I wanted to.

Thinking about it, maybe have a "coupon" that's (in-game) emailed to the accounts during the time window. Then when the person goes to the PM and selects "Freebie" from the store, they can just punch in that weeks' "coupon" code and it's still free.

    *shrugs*

Remember, it's a pilot program. It's subject to change and we're looking forward to getting your feedback. For now, just know that when you log in tomorrow, you'll have a free item waiting for you in the market.

So everyone, no matter what server, account, etc..., will get the same freebie?

Also, is it account based or character based?

    Just curious!
