Hmm....I wonder if I'll be in the closed beta or not...*only time will tell*
-
Nope, he's behind a pillar in the corner stuck in the 'falling ragdoll physics' pose.*
*This actually happened tonight in a team...a Fortunata Mistress somehow was in the "arms flailing around falling down" animation and stuck behind a pillar and in the corner of the walls. How'd that happen? -
I noticed this as well.
I usually just hit the "End" key to go to the bottom then the Page Up key twice to get to the General forums...but now it's not the same heh. -
Yeah, I can't wait for the GR pre-purchase/pre-order/whatever....a nice big reveal of GR info will be nice
(since I would assume you couldn't pre-purchase something without being told what will be in it...I guess they could do it but...).

Yeah my friend and I are kind of leery of Google in some regards. It seems Google wants to become the 'next Microsoft'...wanting them to control/have information on you/on everything. Don't get me wrong, Google is great for some things but...I don't know...I'm not trusting Google 100% anymore (that started a year or two ago).

Quote:I liked that original animation for Thunder Kick (or whichever one it was)...multi-kick ftw!i remember frontloaded missions, oranges at the door and a gray boss, i remember making jokes about quotas.
i remember the first time i made a joke about a "boy named tsoo" subsequent thousand times caused my sg mates to all put me on ignore.
i remember when martial arts really stunk..you think you have it bad now? the one kick was basicly flurry, the whiffing was legendary, and crippling axe kick used to do minor damage, because a stupidly long animation and a slow effect seen once every eclipse was compensation.
that and i remember ice tanking, and slotting for resistance on my first armor, and i wasnt the only one dangit... then we all noticed out that it was a def based armor and we were all running around really realy reisistant to cold..and that was about it. heck i remember tanking before armors stacked..and back when stone armor made you look like ambulatory poo.
And yeah, I remember ice/dark and stone armors not stacking!
I remember not having a "T" on the maps to mark where the trams were. -
Quote:Thankshttp://www.net-marks.com/oldsoftware/tweakcoh
Todd is moving all his stuff to a new site and the old stuff, including TweakCoh has been thrown into this 'oldsoftware' subdirectory which is hidden from the top of the site. -
Hooray, more free stuff!
Quote:I will say... "this" thoughI'm happy. I'll be happier when you just make it free on a permanent basis though.
Quote:I implore you, please give us the option to also buy more character slots instead of moving them out.
I think you mean, "I hope/wish that Paragon Studios gave us more FREE characters slots." (more than the 1 for the 72 month veteran reward) -
Sho!
I'm always willing to help ya! Got some toons that can help out...Just need 6 more now
-
Quote:So where can I download TweakCoH now? I'd like to fix the 'font' issue without actually replacing the font. I click on the link and it's not there anymore. Tried to do some google-fu but all links point to the one in the post/quote and no luck.Sorry to tell you, but there's a MUCH easier way to change out fonts:
TweakCoH: It can change most graphic/sound options before you start the game, as well as fonts, and you can also perform various diagnostics as well as play demos. -
I won't be there...something to do tomorrow.
-
You know thinking about it...I'm all for emailing (and promoting/demoting) SG invites through email but....
Whatever happened to having SGs use globals and not character names? I thought that was one of the things that they were 'working on' (or maybe just 'wanted to work on'? :/). That way you could free up the whole "SG is full" issues because it'd be looking for 75 globals and not 75 toons (with maybe 50+ of those toons being alts of 3-4 people).
Vote yes for global SGs! -
Sure why not...might save me some time from doing it myself
/sign -
I'll agree with this.
Although I'd also like to see a way to buy all salvage from just an NPC store for influence as well. -
Quote:Bad idea. All the spammers would have to do is attach 1 inf (or whatever the minimum threshold is) and voila! Spam hell again.
You say that like it's a bad thing...
You'd basically be getting paid to click two buttons "take money button" and the "report spam" button.I wouldn't mind that heh...
Sure it'd be 1 influence but with their energy/time, they might send ya 1 million by the time they stop -
Quote:Adamantium-bullets?Perhaps, but how would it be explained that a high-level Hero can suddenly not use his/her powers? Does a level fifty Dual Pistol Blaster just forget how to use the more damaging attacks s/he's been pummeling Arachnos grunts with for the last few months?
Sorry had to :/ -
Good news on the salvage/recipes/enhancement transfers
-
-
-More tilesets/maps (again like Sleestack/others have said, it's very repetitive).
-More content needed. This doesn't mean only new content...re-doing some content (like the Posi TF for example) would be a great benefit as well.
-Bases. This means things to do in your base as well as base raiding and Cathedral of Pain trial.
I would think that quite a few people would be interested in more content/bases/base raiding/CoP trial returning. -
Quote:Just set the option to not receive emails from people that aren't in your friends list and/or SG. I've received 0 emails since that change has been put in...it's greatNow I do really hate to be negative (in this thread at least, it's my natural state <points to .sig>), but in the middle of all the 'Ooh, Shiny!' bits, this popped up a warning flag.
Am I alone in expecting begging emails to start appearing in my (unused) inbox? -
I wonder if there will be 2 badges for the 2 halves of the Posi tf...
-
Nice find DumpleBerry!
Okay so I'll go through the bullet points here (from my point of view obviously):
Quote:Ultra Mode: Obviously very nice but again, old PC so....can't wait to get a new PC though!Ultra Mode
Ultra Mode includes a superior graphics rendering process for players who have higher-end graphic cards. Each feature can be enabled or disabled in the graphics menu options and will be scalable. Ultra Mode works on both Macs and PCs. In specific, it offers dynamic shadows, screen-space ambient occlusion, and dynamic environment reflections (including planar reflections and environment mapping of reflective surfaces).
Epic Archetypes Unlocked at Level 20
Previously, you had to have at least one character at level 50 to make an epic archetype character. No more! Now you can create an epic archetype character as long as you have any one character at level 20 or higher.
Animated Tails
No more tails lying about like dead weight! You will now be able to select tail body parts that will react to your movement and have a swaying or swishing idle animation mode. You will need to go to a tailor to upgrade to the animated version.
Epic ATs unlocked earlier: nice (doesn't really affect me)
Animated tails: Doesn't really affect me but glad they're in there (maybe I'll make a toon with a tail now though...)

New Story Arcs: Issue 17: Dark Mirror features two new Hero and two new Villain story arcs for levels 20-30. Each of these story arcs has four missions, and the story arcs highlight the Dark Mirror's sinister new enemy. Acquire first Hero story arc in Talos Island, and the first Villain arc in Sharkhead Isle.
Quote:Silver Mantis Strike Force Update: The Silver Mantis Strike Force will now be available to all Villains, not just supergroups. You now can access the Silver Mantis Strike Force via Silver Mantis, located in Sharkhead Isle. You can also run this Task Force from your supergroup computer.
Positron Task Force Update: This Task Force has been split into two halves and dramatically upgraded and updated to ramp up the fun. The final battle of the Task Force takes place in the Faultline Dam and incorporates the new Dark Mirror enemy.
Quote:New Badges: Along with adding badges for 500 Badges Earned, 750 Badges Earned, and 1,000 Badges Earned, we are adding new exploration badges to city zones, almost doubling the number of exploration badges. You can learn new Accolades for finding all of the exploration badges in each city zone.
New Player Emotes: We'll let you know more about the new emotes soon.
And always nice to have more emotes.
Quote:Quality of Life Improvements
Craftable Temporary Powers: You will now have a much cleaner and more consistent way of finding and crafting temporary powers.
Increased Mission Count: You can now have seven active missions (previously three). And having more than three missions is nice...nothing huge but it's nice.
Quote:Show Last Objective: This UI improvement lets you find your last objective on a mission map, making it easier to find something you've missed.
Quote:Auction House: The UI gives you new options for sorting search results, your Auction House inventory is now separated by clearly marked tabs based on the item's status, the Auction House text entry box now autocompletes, and a single click on a recipe displays all salvage needed for that recipe.
Quote:In-Game E-mail: You can now use in-game e-mails to send Influence/Infamy to your own characters or to other players' characters via in-game e-mails. (You still cannot send Influence, Infamy, or items from a Hero to a Villain or vice versa.)
Quote:Mission Architect Improvements
Experience: You can now handpick the powers for custom enemies and still receive experience for them (within game balance limits).
New Maps: We have added approximately 20 new unique maps.
Giant Monsters: You can now add giant monsters to some outdoor maps.
Exit Mission on Complete: You can now specify that players have to leave the mission manually on completion.
Escort Missions: "Lead to place" technology allows you more control over escort objectives.
Can't wait to test it out! -
I do and do not want new (or even proliferated) powersets in i17/GR other than DP and DS.
Sure I always like new combos/powersets but...that'd mean I'd have to buy more char. slots -
Quote:If i didn't age normaly and were highly resistant to normal damage i would probably be a villain
Not a super villain just a thief. Wouldn't hurt anyone just steal things for the challenge and escape.
But then you'd be like the Joker in the early 90s Batman:TAS cartoon when Batman "died"....Joker was bored because he could always beat the cops/whoever...he lived for the challenge of beating Batman.
If you're a person with Statesman-like powers, I'd think you'd get bored robbing banks since 'nothing' could stop you.
