Take a look at that game's homepage. They've got a front-page splash about their endgame "raids and alerts" (equivalent to our Task Forces and Raids). They're making the same mistake as everyone else in the MMO business.
Punching Superman in the face at level 15 was really nice, but having no where to go at the end is the same mistake City is making. -
Mine's a teenaged girl stuck in a soul-draining suit of armour. She's become a hedonistic nihilist because she's slowly dying, and has to kill other people to keep the armour from draining her quicker. (She's a villainous Tanker, obviously.)

I've got an Electric/Dark Tank that I love to death. Only has the one +damage power, but otherwise has all those bonuses, and a slightly tougher defence to boot. It's not quite as thematic for a demon, though.

"You" is plural, referring to a group. "Thou" is singular, referring to an individual. However, as in many languages, "You" was also used to be a formal singular, and in time, the formal became the norm, and we lost the distinction between "thou" and "you". Because of this, people have been inventing other words to replace the lost usage of "you"; "y'all" (or "you all") seems to be winning the popularity contest these days.

A couple weeks ago, we were getting consistent temperatures in the teens and low twenties, but it's so dang dry here, we didn't even get frost.
I hate people that complain about snow. I want some! -
Fire/Fire Tanks dish out damage better than you might think, and have a definite edge over Brutes as far as "take damage" and "feel awesome" go.

As a visually-focused person myself (Eiko looks like Eiko, thus why I use a screenshot as an avatar), I think "it looks wrong" is completely valid as a reason to not use something.

Quote:I've been playing the game the way it is now on the assumption that I could become a totally awesome, top-tier character all by myself. Since they're moving the top tier, this will cease to be true.'Tis true. If you're fine playing and paying for the game the way it is now, it's not like the stuff you enjoy is going to be removed to make room for the team-based Incarnate content that you refuse to play.
I'm kind of tired of this argument: "they're not taking anything away". Yes they are. They're taking away my ability to contend in the top tiers of the game, by moving the top tier of the game higher and putting boundaries in between.
I don't need end game; but I don't "need" to play the game, either. The two are coupled: I get end game, or I don't play. -
Electric Armour has Power Sink and Energise, which should cover anything you would have wanted from EA's Energy Drain and Conserve Energy.
I have both a Willpower and an Electric Armour (both Tanks rather than Brutes, but the basic idea should be the same) and I love them both. Both are nigh invulnerable (the Willpower regenerates at near-AV levels; the Electric Armour might be more invulnerable due to being coupled with Dark Melee, though.)
Electric's Tier 9 probably fits that idea of "energy being" best; Power Surge changes your character's appearance to a being of electricity for its duration, so that could be her unleashing her "true self" or some such. It still looks like electricity, though. -

Quote:No one's asking them to stop making Task Forces. All that's being requested is that rewards that are viewed by many as character advancement (and not just optional bonuses - we have been told explicitly that Incarnate content will be balanced for and require Incarnate abilities) not be exclusive to Task Forces. But as sad as it is to suffer frm that kind of mental block, it's unreasonable to expect the developers of an MMO to design their game around people with that condition - to maximize the return on their work, they need to create a game that appeals to the majority of MMO players.
It's the exclusivity that is the issue, not the content itself. -
Quote:You didn't take it at all off topic. I posted more or less the same exact thing in the thread this one got split off of; my post is back on the first page. This whole thread has been about how extroverts think introverts are broken and need fixing.I apologize in advance for taking the thread slightly off-topic,

Those breakdown exchange rates are pretty horrible. Do they have any for the common components, or just uncommon and higher? (Uncommons netting 2-3 should mean commons, if they can be broken down, would yield 0-1, I think. I suspect "no breakdown" is far more likely.)

While "LFT" channel isn't specifically something I want, I would love love love to have more global channels (not user global channels, but the better kind that comes when you implement them directly) like Help is to foster a better sense of server community. Right now, a lot of us (at least on Virtue) use the Help channel for that (breaking when people have questions, of course), but it would really be nice to have more channels specifically for that sort of thing. LFT would be a good start, as well as "Chat" and "Badging", perhaps.

Bots/Traps can have softcapped defences on the Battle Drones and Assault Bot with SOs alone. And that's softcapped to everything (except Psi). Should hold up pretty well.

I can understand that. Director 11 is way more of a pain than BM, and I say that having taken on Director 11 as an Incarnate, and BM as not one. And I don't think I've ever heard anyone claim Reichsman was fun (my VG beat him to prove we could and we've never looked back.)
