Might want to add Sals Badgehunters to your globals, thats the most active channel on Union by far for events.
-
Can they see the screen?
Yes?
/e slap themThat'll get their attention!
-
Make sure to get in Pocket D early though people to mix with everybody
I myself will be at Pocket D [defiant] from 8:30 onwards so i hope to see you all there! -
Same here on my new Praetorian character. Just hit level 10 tonight and taking him into Imperial City for the first time some time tomorrow.
This is where the arcs really get good! Make sure to read them all remember and tell us what you feel about them
Dont think contacts will buy inspirations off you anymore, but you can still sell them in the auction house to players but thats next to no influence really -
-
Either way . . . .. dont anger the beast?
-
Think we need to know what was in those emails

Rescue PPD in tunnels: [2nd mission in praetoria]
The map now used for this is the VERY small 2 room tunnel map instead of those stairs that they always seem to get stuck on. -
Highly doubt it is i19.5, though if it is then i might have to tell the misses that im having a VERY early night
-
Oh the old amount of badges reached just under 500 when you was here i think. Now its past 1000
There are badges for the zones/missions/enemies/zone events that are in praetoria yes [remember you can go back to praetoria at any time]. -
Hasnt happened as often as it used to be for me but that might just be because i've gotten so used to it that i just automatically sign in again now
-
The first two contacts are constantly confusing and indeed awkward sometimes.
Firstly since you are level 4, they WILL talk to you. IIRC its if your below level 4 that they wont but i cant say for certain. The way it worked at first was that you would need to talk to the contact that you selected twice before a mission came up. If that contact was above your level then on the second "talk" they would say you would need to be level 4/10/15 to do this arc.
What contacts are in your active contacts tab?
The underground is a very dangerous place to wander around in, think you found that out now -
Well you dont need to re-download the EU client by the way, just right click the US one you downloaded, click properties, and change the target to
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\cohupdater.eu.exe"
thats including the " at both ends.
Yup the old coh/cov game you remember is still there, its just doubled in size thats all -
Hey and welcome back! Wow if i10 was the last update to the game then i think your in for a HUGE suprise. i11 onwards has really been a case of adding something major to the game and if im honest theres TOO much to explain in just one post.
Firstly make sure you are part of the 3 main union channels which if you was here before you have more than likely heard of. These are sals badgehunters, union chat and union taskforce. All 3 are active for either general chat help or forming taskforce teams.
Off the top of my head now, heres a list of things that has been added.
- Ouroboros - A zone with solo mini taskforces [arcs in a way] that also lets you "flashback" to any arc in the game if you wish. This zone is also where you get the arc to kickstart your incarnate abilities once you reach level 50. Zone is locked off until you hit level 25.
- Rikti war zone revamp - Now one of the major zones, the RWZ has gone a complete overhaul and has great arcs in it as well as the Lady Grey taskforce [lots of fun!]. Theres also something in the lines of a mothership raid there too that is lots of fun.
- Purple/pvp recipes - Like standard IO recipes, except these are only available in level 47+ enemies. They give off the best stats boost in the game and due to how rare they are, sell for a lot in the auction house.
- Mission Architect - One of these buildings are found in most zones and are used to create your own arcs/enemies and also play them with friends or play others! Some are really good while others obviously are very poor. Rewards in the MA though instead of salvage/recipes are MA tickets which can be traded in for recipes/unlockable content for you to create more arcs.
- Power customisation - Some powers have alternative animations now and you can change the colour of your powersets
Not to mention of course the new weapon models for existing weapon sets!
- Cimerora/midnight zone - A "flashback" to the ancient time of rome, more than likely holds the most popular taskforce in the game where you fight off against romans and an old foe. Zone is locked off to 35+ in cimerora, however the midnight zone is 20+ and has some great arcs in it.
- Going Rogue - a brand new level 1 - 20 experience, which when it does sound low you'll be suprised at just how good that experience is. Some of the best missions in the game and they only get better the higher you go.
- New powersets - Shields/dual blade/dual pistols/demon summonin/Psy blast/kinetic melee. Those are the ones that i can think of off the top of my head, however some powersets have been ported over and slightly changed for other ATs to use so the actual list is a lot bigger. For example scrappers now can use electric melee [which is a beast!].
- Tip missions/morality points - Just like the radio system, every enemy level 20+ has the chance to drop a mission called a "tip mission". You can only hold 3 at any one time but they are VERY good which highlight the less known heroes/villains of the game and shows you their path to power/glory throughout the whole 20 - 50 experience.
Hope that helps a bit!

Glue arrow . . . . . one of the most feared powers ingame!

Quote:It's a butt-saver. I've used it to hide from patrols when I have absolutely no health. I've also used it for AFK purposes when I'm not sure if wandering enemies are located. I've also used it to indicate I'm AFK in roleplay; nothing says "AFK" like fading to black!
Why has nobody ever thought of this before! -
First mission is just sheer awesome to be honest
It really shows just how awesome you are and why this game is so great . . . . . . . . . . YOU are the hero!
-
Quote:Well I imagine if there was a mass of hair threatening a city with destruction it'd be pretty cool to have someone who'd be able to move it somewhere else so that it would no longer be a threat.
Wow its snowing in the middle of summer . . . how odd . . . .
ummm thats not snow, thats dandruff . . . . -
-
I now feel guilty for bustin noobs
. . . . . . . . nahhhh im kidding! Noobs have to be busted ya know
But yeah while i think this is the best game i have ever played, the one thing that has always kept me here for such a long period of time is the community feel! Just like all communities, some your really close with while others you give a friendly nod as they pass by.
Because we're all just one big happy family [i know thats a song from somwhere but i cant remember what from!] -
Badgers are going to be all over this for the next month by the way

Heres my soul for february, do with it as you wish . . . . . . .
This is very good in my humble opinion
Edit: Think the question people will want answered for clarification though is the following:
In i19.5 we can only craft the rare/very rare alpha levels by doing the taskforce of the week and getting that reward correct? However once i20 hits we can craft them as normal via new/current tfs that will be available once i20 hits? -
63 months here so thats ummm . . . . yeah im signing up for life aint i
