Hardcore XP Weekend Discussion: AE vs. Double XP

Double XP weekend is coming and I'm already planning my new toons to maturate.

Is anyone going to take a character from 1 to mid 30's- 40s over this weekend? I have several characters I want to do. If you are and plan to play the "whole" weekend or 1 whole day of any of the three, can we connect ?

Also, I have 6 Praetorian Doms(Union) and a Mastermind that I need to get to late 30s/early 40s. I want to do the different Patron mishes for the new content so I can't go all the way to 50

If you are on Union and want to do AE Farms or run the Mishes post you characters names or globalID. If you know of any outstanding AE Farm mishs, please PM me with the MA IDs.

Also, I will be playing hardcore. Stopping only to clear salvage, build recipes, sell, eat, sleep, and shower. Specifically, my game time will start at 6PM/UTC/GMT(London), 1PM/EST(New York) and go till I collapse daily. Starting again at the time mentioned previously.

I need 7 unique people for this tasks and have a coffee machine nearby :-)

Just a few days away now from XP WEEKEND. I bought the Ramen noodles, setup the food delivery times and made sure my coffee machine is working properly :-)

I'm really excited about this, I was on last night and noticed that the broadcast isn't used very much on Union.

How do you request teaming?

I leveled one of my characters to 10 last night but it so odd not seeing any posts. Are mondays slow on Union?

Well we are mostly in channels, rather then using broadcast. I do believe you can find some through broadcast though.
The channels that are used mostly are:
Sals badgehunters
Union Task force
Union Chat

Now Sals are for getting badges and starting tfs. Union Task force is used to start task forces and announce some events. Union chat is to speak about anything else.

I just try to think of which of these would be most suitable for your request and it is difficult.
I do think there is a channel for teaming, but I'm unsure of its name and use.
I also seem to remember that there is a channel for farmers, but again I'm unsure about its name and use.
If you are going to ask in the mentioned channels, I do believe it would be best to ask in Union Chat (since it is for teaming non stop).

(For myself, I'm still unsure if I'm going to play that much during the event (old habits die hard, as I use the "no xp" button alot ))

Edit: Oh, and there might be some in Peregrine that would be up for it. Note "might", I do not know how much broadcast is used there now.

I played yesterday and today to get a feel for the channels. I signed up for some but I'll need to modify them according to your comments. Different play style here. Most of the players are very polite. We gather at the door and enter as team. But it wasn't all good. I had some new players(I'm maturing new ones too) but some just dropped everything when the system events came on...it was kind of hilarious. But all in all it was fun. How big are the group events here? I guess here the volume is balanced so they can be fun here. In NA, unless it was a rare event, it wasn't a drop everything and usually lag accompanied the event...so I avoided them on the NA servers.

Might want to add Sals Badgehunters to your globals, thats the most active channel on Union by far for events.

It is.. but it is the most active channel and a lot of task forces are made there (since also task forces do give badges )
