Havent been too bothered about them to be honest. The nicest perk about the day jobs is the patrol xp.
That aside all of my main characters have 2 day job badges each at least and one has an accolade (cant remember the name of it). -
Depends on the situation for me personally. If i want to get the end reward quickly then i wont moan when we ghost, if i want to have good/random fun (kills
) then by gosh i'll moan like iv been moaning all morning. (i JUST finished work . . . . . damn stupid morning shifts)

Aww, why no actual increase to normal flight speed? How are we supposed to be faster than a speeding bullet?
[/ QUOTE ]
If flight is increased too much then superspeed will (by a technical pov) be the inferior travelpower by a large margin.
[/ QUOTE ]
you have Hasten
[/ QUOTE ]
ah but that includes an entire power pool, not just the travelpowerWe cant go down the road of comparing power pools now . . . . can we?

1> At low levels sell everything, there's little reason to keep salvage or recipe's
<snip>
3> Rare salvage is the only real exception to the 'sell everything' tip.

Another one is that certain recipes, -KBs, Celerity +Stealth and such, are actually better at low levels. (and some -KBs are pool A, so that's not an academic question even if you aren't fan of merit rolls.) In other words, if price for the recipe/enhancement (and those of similar level) looks too good, (10s M for sub-15 Steadfast -KB), chances are you want it yourself. Of course, everyone knows that, but...
[/ QUOTE ]
But then again you can always flashback and do the Lt Wincott arc trick to get those recipes quickly. A few runs and its ALMOST guaranteed to get you one of those. -
To be as accurate as possible we'll need a bit more information.
What level will your WW toon be? (The higher it is, the better)
Do you know any of the tricks to get drops fast?
How much influence do have at hand to start the "manipulation" process?
Depending on your answers then the response will be differentSo many ways in which to "get rich quick" in this game that its hard to find the best solution without all the information

I think what we should all do now is take a note of whose attitudes/posting styles change the most during these next few days.
I wanna bust some bugs in test
[/ QUOTE ]
You mean people who post less, act secretive and seem to go over their words to make sure they don't let something slip?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup thats what i MeAn. I thought only people with active forum accounts were able to get into closed beta anyway? So you know . . . . . they post on the beta boards? -

Personally? I'm starting to think that the ability to purchase any specific recipe you want for merits was a bad idea to begin with. Should've stuck to just random rolls, only with the merit system this'd allow you five and a half random rolls per Doc Q as opposed to just one.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well a lot of the prices do need to be brought down everybody agrees in that, but the high value ones like +regen/+recovery can be obtained quite easily IF the player wants it guaranteed.
Whereas before you would have to go through numerous taskforces just for the chance to get it (which could take weeks of taskforce farming), its now possible to get it in 2 days non farming. As long as each taskforce gives the chance for a minimum of one random roll then everything is fine imo.
Now if you they want to help increase the challenge of taskforces, then they should put certain restrictions on it.
For example:
Number of deaths (3 allowed) - completing this increases merit rewards by 5.
Complete under 2 hours - completing this increases merit rewards by 5.
Not a HIGH amount but if you add rewards to the current buff/nerf options we have when we start taskforces then it'll incourage people to be more daring. Obviously you'ld have to scale each reward to the difficulty of the taskforce (things like ITF are commonplace to be finished under 2 hours, but less than 1 death would warrant more merits). -

It's the sets that are expensive.

Yet they are so easy to come by
People are impatient, if they have influence they'll keep raising their price until they get it. Its what i do, if i want it . . . i get it. -

Spot on or not, it's [censored]. Infernal got a light redesign when Wings came out, at least give Valkyrie some loving so she doesn't look as horrible anymore. She could run for "worst outfit in the game" with Tina the Seamstress easily.
Also, Nanites are Tech, not Science, no?

have you seen castle?

Have you seen most peoples costumes lately? Boy do people need a good fashion kick up the old ********.
Fashion police? pft try fashion buster!!! In icon 24/7 busting people who think they can leave without a good cossie! -

I think the general idea of an "invisible" enemy group would probably tie in with some sort of spying/detective system, whre you'd have to track down info and clues about them.
[/ QUOTE ]
The knives? Very rarely anywhere and one of the enemy groups that could have a very interesting arc if put to good use.
Hired thugs (thugettes?) switching sides against the group they were hired for thus starting an "street war" to distract the heroes so they can go get their true objective/goal? yes please! -
Dont you wish you could fly, i know i do

Was a great time to read the forums though
I agree with the majority though in that i dont feel as convinced as before about the support. I dont feel the urge/need to log onto my EU characters anymore and have cancelled my sub when this current one ends.
But my love for the game hasnt died and thus iv started over again state sideYes thats right people im Sellout-damz

Question: If i enhance range on my sniper, can i take someone out on the earth from the moonbase?
-
[ QUOTE ]
well, depends... That Kheld arc is of only historical interest now, and Dr. Q. TF... Are you guys kidding? Maybe I don't know something, but just the mission list on the wiki shows it's a poopsockfest, even with perfect team.
Some story arcs are still farmable, e.g. this: http://uk.boards.cityofheroes.com/showfl...part=4&vc=1 You also don't need a team that way. I think I know a few more, but I neither tested them, nor do I know anyone who did, so I'm not telling just yet.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thats my post!Linked-post fame at last!
Like you said that arc is great if you cant find a team or just want to go solo for a bit (its fastest in a team of 3 imo) and the merit:time ratio is VERY good. Though there are 2/3 arcs that have caught my eye as being easier to "farm".
Will post if i find any -
Bovine . . . . . im playing your arcs ok

So, in other words, they are two completely unrelated things, with no connection to each other whatsoever?
Player created missions and an archenemy which appears randomly to confront you... yes, I see the similarity
[/ QUOTE ]
The idea for the arch nemesis came from non other than our own Positron. Years ago.
It seems to me that CO have taken quite a few things from CoH. Infact they even claim its the game they wish they could have made all those years ago.
Is it so terrible for CoH to grab a few ideas (Arch nemesis, interactive envirments, banks etc etc etc) from them?
[/ QUOTE ]
Can you imagine how old and how quickly the archnemesis system would become? Unless there was some form of random generator which took from a LARGE range of mission objectives/maps/dialogues then it'ld constantly just become another standard boss mission.
Sure to begin with it'ld be great, but longterm i dont think so. Personal view of course. -
[ QUOTE ]
Whats RPing got to do with making missions?
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree, im not a roleplayer but i cant wait to create my own missions and test out other peoples arcs.
As long as theres a "random arc" button i'll be happy. I want a mixture of funny/serious/doom/tributes/epic-end-of-world/training arcs for me to play please people -

actually iirc the thread with the issue 11 teasers in were the biggest. Cant remember which of our mods said something like "eyes turn green and grabs table" or something but it was that thread anyway.
Edit: Those are the kind of teasers/hints that i love, ones that get you guessing for ages about whats coming and we all turn out to be wrong. -

Busiest server is Freedom but it's got the nickname of Freedumb, if the reptuation to go with that nickname is true or not, not sure.
Second busiest is Virtue the unofficial RP server.

Judging by the local chat there i experienced last night i would say . . . . yes the name suits it (iv never felt the need to bust so many noobs ever!).
But the plus side is that with over 1300 online at the time (11pm welsh time) finding a PUG isnt what you would call . . . . hard.
Also in half an hour there was TWO random 50 mill cossie contests?!?! I swear im going to have be VERY creative in competitions to stand up to them lot!! -
When editing your sg base if somebody tries to log in (to the base) doesnt it sometimes cause the crash since while loading the base (map) is physically being changed? Seem to recall someone saying about that though whether it was just a rumour and iv taken it in the wrong context is anyones guess.

They point-blank refused to call it a recession until halfway through Q3 last year, because they were adamant it would "scare the general populace". It was only when it was unavoidable that they were quoted as saying if this trend continues, we will be seeing 2009 in recession (the worst since the 70s).
[/ QUOTE ]
So we had the recession in the 70s then michael jackson in the 80s . . . ., we'r having another recession now and michael jackson has said he wants to make a comeback soon . . . . .
This is just to much of a coincidence
