My dm/shield scrapper (now level 15) is doing VERY well for himself, in total has made roughly 26 million from the MA solo (which is enough to set me straight for a good while).

I 100% agree with you in that any mission that is designed to test your characters limits should be designated in the arc description or it will get rated down.

Boss mobs only scale down so much. An elite boss against a three man group is not an issue (although the gratuitous overuse of triggered ambushes from him can be). However an elite boss with a supporting group is going to wipe most solos.

Do EBs scale down to boss/lieuts? Only asking because so far i havent faced one in an arc yet (low level), only custom bosses which (sadly) did scale down to lieuts. Im hoping they dont (unless on heroic) since they are designed to be the "best of the worst" in a mission and designed to be a challenge. If however like you say, there is a large support group surrounding it and there isnt a description saying "tough EB at end, bring friends", then that'll lose it some ratings.

The way i see it at the moment is to type in "low level" into the search and the best arcs will appear (they usually have good descriptions). Also typing in your security level enemy groups (skulls/goldbrickers) brings up arcs with them in. Tend to find this is the best method to find arcs that are decent enough, though of course you will come across 1/2 arcs that are poor.

I think you was being a bit too harsh personally, perhaps stating something like "VERY hard to solo, needs a better arc description to state the difficulty to get a higher rating/not to mislead players" would have been a better method.

In the long term, the whole rewards values needs a good going over, but probably the way to prevent farming causing problems with the economy wherever it might be occuring is to put a cap on the xp/inf that can be earned in an hour. A high cap shouldn't have an adverse effect on non-farming players.

Wont stop power levelling though will it, xp gained between level 1 - 20 and lvl 44 - 45 is vastly different as it is. -
Sounds interesting, i can't bring myself to commit to it though until i PARTLY know what the challenge is. For example if the mission has lots of AV i'll want to use my AV killer, if lots of defeat all i'll want to bring my scrapper etc.
Keeping my eye on this thread for further information. -

Anybody know what their ticket drops were like? If they were the same as normal then it could be seen as an exploit. Hopefully they'll just lower the rewards for them quickly since they are a good "background" group.

The downtime is already nearly 50% longer than stated! -
However on SOME missions where it is just a map full of masterminds designed for the player just to have some good old fashioned non stop carnage, its good fun
Chucking them in for the sake of it however i agree is a no no!
On that note, if somebody ever makes that ruladak (who?) cave map full of thug masterminds again i swear i'll cry. Never before have i ran so quickly. -

Didnt they say before that MA maintennance would ONLY mean we couldnt play arcs but could still edit them and such? What changed so that the whole servers had to be brought down for it

In a way yes but not just those, there are obviously a ton of different exploits possible in the MA for solo powerlevelling if done correctly.
Did mention it before but it got edited out of my post as a forum no-no-slap, small example be there no longer being a choice of snake eggs. -
A part of me is hoping that these minor fixes arent to purge the MA by deleting "exploit" arcs, or are they able to do a mass bringdown without bringing the system down?

According to the announcement they said it USUALLY could take up to 2 hours, so 3pm would be as a guess the correct time for it to be up again. (Probs be before but 3pm at latest i'ld say) -

I kinda wish i15 would be a small issue with no major changes or some mindblowing new plot. Dont get me wrong, I love new stuff, but with the issue 14 bringing so much new content (at least for me), I wanna take my time to play and rewiew that content. I fear that if there would be a new zone or lvl cap rise, it would take players away from the AE. New booster pack, new SF for villains, thats what I would like to see in i15.

Agreed, the last 2/3 issues (apart from MA) has mostly been big QOL issues. Now we need the big huzzah! -

I remember playing that arc when it originally had a 3 tier indoor map at the time, with increasing difficulty for each level. It was a cool idea, but I guess damz couldn't get rid of the annoying niggle where things would not always spawn on the level you would think.

Sadly notSafe 1 and 2 both spawned on floor 1 and 2 accordingly (with their correct level bosses), however boss 3 when spawned had sometimes gone back down to the second level, was a shame really because it was (out of the two) the one i thought had more of a VR feeling to it. Though i still got it in local storage!xD

For 2 hours its down now yeah, we got ingame message half an hour ago.
Obviously was met by the usual "what the suger?"
Edit: I wouldnt be as annoyed if we got an announcement stating downtime, not 30 minutes beforehand.
