  1. Personally I think with Dark Consumption and QR I would find Stamina merely as a comfort power-pick or if you have the three power choices open then I would stagger them out across your remaining build, picking up Primary/Secondary/other PP powers when you want them, rather than fitting them around Fitness.

A decent mob + Consumption even at the last dregs of End will fill you up nicely to get right back into the fight. It does seem like a nice combo to go with, just wish I had more time/inkling to play my own DM/WP.

Summary; Safe without Stamina, but if you find yourself at a loss for three powers, it isn't going to harm taking them down the line.

    yikes

Lost Bosses are hard to hold, it's a given, but as said they are a lot easier to deal with than Night Widows and Fortunatas, both are hard to hold in one spot, but the Widows are a true mix of range/melee horror.
  3. My experience with traps comes entirely from an MM point of view, I have henchman on Bodyguard, an FFG and sometimes open with acid mortar so that takes quite a bit of my aggro.

I say sometimes because I want poison to net as many folk and at times it isn't always a great idea to have the mortar fire up and cause a few melee breakaways as I zip in. Saying that the team I'm on for my MM has a Traps Corr also so we alternate or traps at times, example: he sets up mortar as I zip to mob and set poison, as I finish up the first mortar comes in usually taking their eyes and my trap releases.

These days with our DO/SO/IOs though we have both have mortar and poison up every mob, so it's the same as above, then he zips in with poison and I zip to the other side and set up a mortar. Much easier for me though as I don't have to concentrate on attack either due to having my keyboard bound commanding my henchies, a bonus when setting up a trap I have to say is also not having any ruptions for my Attack My Target and Go To commands.

For MMs even I have to say that /Traps are akin to /Dark in terms of needing Stamina. I last longer than my Corr counterpart, but it is still an issue. Web-nade spamming is a bit of a pinch over time.

Note: I admit to joining in with my dual wield too often though. Heh.
  4. I've actually teamed with a Sonic/Traps. It was quite a while ago when my main and villain was in his 15-25 region. Siren's would give you a nice openning to place traps, as it easily saves my Son/Son when solo to Sleep -> Debuff one -> Stun one -> Attack the [censored] out of the one -> Re-sleep as require -> go to 2.

Shockwave would probably be a fail for you, it can be quite cumbersome. Nothing is better on a big team than a /Traps MM or Corr rushing into a mob and release poison, it'll do wonders I'm sure in big fights having -Regen and -Res. Recharge isn't too shabby on the gas part either.

I think it'd be a pretty dapper Corr. And as you may have figured Sonic -Res + Scourge = Fun.
  5. Fire snuffs people out, no doubt. But I have to concur that Ice and Sonic give it a run for its money, more so if you consider that Ice and Sonic have more ST. If some of the animations in Sonic weren't so rooting I'd have it more in-line with Ice.

I dont get the point of grabbing cinders and 3 slotting it... long recharge, short holding... As an idea, u could try to swapp it with bonfire and slot it for kockback (is it able??) with the kinetic set... For 6 slots u can get +7.5 recharge, so very much cheaper than another Lotg...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Cheaper on the inf side? Maybe. But at the cost of a power they did not intend to use and six-slots into said power.

Also, knockback likely, kockback..urm...I'm not sure I want to kockback anyone here.
  7. What you're saying is that I should not slot this IO in any pet that should be ranged, like say Singy because if I did then he'd play rollerball with the mobs and cause me more annoyance on teams, but admittedly tons of fun solo. But I can slot this IO in a Thug Pet because it will make him melee more, which is counter-acting a 'I LEIK HORL' AI glitch, so a bug to fix a glitch? I might as well go back to the Titanic and tell them to use silly putty on the hole, it'll fill the hole, might not stop the water, but that's a 'feature pool' now.

Closing your eyes and covering your ears to the problem is just as unhelpful as the problem itself and yes I have a choice to slot it or not, but that choice should be down to the PROC and the Bonuses and my slotting, NOT because it buggers up the internal compass of a pet.

Now I think I'll take my recipe and hide from those that tried to mug me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those darn kids!

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can never hide from me! I'm the mug-king! The Mug! A Mugger! Th--oh screw it. *cries in corner*
  9. Note: Both photos are without the two upgrades. He gains a neat set of rocket launchers and a dandy scanner-eye-beam to really give him that 'You have ten seconds to comply.'
  10. Footstomp is the business, it only knocksBACK if the enemies are closer to grey..or your know underlings/small. Everything else bounces up and lands on their [censored]. I sometimes open with it, but as said my experience is bruting, so build fury -> footstomp -> giggle..I mean laugh. LAUGH.

The simple fact is that any veteran who 'doesn't rate defence' doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. There are 3 powersets in Heroes based solely on defence. Are these 3 powersets useless?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Only against Aim, BU & FA. *starts fight*

No, seriously, while not played a TANK Inv/SS, I do have a brute SS/Inv and must say that the power in question can be a life saver. Its the Rage Crash that does my kidneys in.

For me, while there are ways and means of playing an AT or building sets, if you can't do your primary function for a team in a team, then something is boop.

As was getting launched off that converted oil platform into the depths of the ocean.

[/ QUOTE ]Yep, that was pretty annoying, especially when your main travel power is teleport, and have to be careful where you place your white disc. Grateful that I still had my Zero-G pack.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Screw SS, screw SJ, Fly is how you stop your [censored] overshooting and gaining a whole new level of aggro*.

*once figure out how to control your sorry 2xSiphon Speeded 1xSpeed Boosted [censored].
  13. I blame the perverse amount of lag/delays/etc for most or any of my issues, but at the same time absolute zero knowledge of what my health was like meant I was spamming FEEYABOL without a damn care...oh wait that was normal.

Lot of fun and death is inevitable with a billion Raiders and their ACME Go-Thru-Wall Missile launchers. As was getting launched off that converted oil platform into the depths of the ocean.
  14. If there's still room I can bring Ba'al Lucifus Fire/Kin Corr, or a variety of others if we need to patch up some holes.

How do i play my dominator?

    Well

I GRAB IT BY THE LEGS, AND SWING IT FURIOUSLY AT THE ENEMYS

    It generally works quite well

    [/ QUOTE ]

Funny that's generally how I play my blaster.

    As for dominators.

Step 1: Throw imp at enemy

    Step 2: ????

    Step 3: PROFIT

    TA/A Defender

I love using Oil Slick's targetability to lay down a trap patch, very helpful. I do wish that Poison Gas Arrow was a lil more like Poison Trap, though the -Regen would be overkill to the max, as I love that trap so very very much.

The -DMG is nice, quite nice, but it is hardly the marketed debuff effect of the power. A small...very small chance of sleep which is counted as said by Acid Arrow anyway and Oil Slick's Burninating.

Err /ff doesnt have any psi def on its st buffs either afaik

PS. If we are for comparing them, I want clarity on my bubbler, instead of the worthless repulsion bomb btw

    [/ QUOTE ]

You mean the Repulsion Bomb that is having a major change right this moment?

I'd prefer Sonic to offer Sleep Res that I've mentioned elsewhere (actually the Repulsion Bomb Thread) as it is a giant ball of music and sound.

Dispersion Bubble gives Def(All), not just positional, but everything else, including Psi. Sonic Dispersion gives Res(All but Psionic), it may be hit-n-miss, but it is still more mitigation.

This being said Sonic has more in terms of debuffing the enemy as well as buffing your allies, something FF doesn't. All swings and roundabouts.
  19. You are a little nuke.

Wait..am I both ferrets or are you the other one? More importantly, whose bloomers are we in?
  20. Speaking with would-be-Doms and newbie-Doms there's some misconceptions regarding the melee nature of most secondary attacks.

I know of someone that said they don't take any melee and that people who did were silly because 'You're squishie', I got an image in my head of a Dom toe-to-toe with a Freak Tank and laughed.

There's no way my Doms would just stand there, Mind Probe and then wait for the Tank to slice me in the kidneys. Generally I leap over my enemies with Mind Probe ready in and zip around for cones/aoes/thelike. But this might all be from my Dark/Dark Corr which involves a lot moving around a mob to net them in the cones.

Always moving or else I'm dead! That's the Dominator Way!...like a shark or something!

Huh? Scrappers overpowered in pvp? imo its the most underpowered AT hero side khelds aside

    [/ QUOTE ]

He didn't say they were overpowered, he said they were supah-stwong. Totally different thing altogether.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Exactly. Overpowered would suggest that they didn't need Phase Shift, SS or a blaster friend when things don't go their (regen) way.

    [ QUOTE ]
Hey, you can't have my Domination either, and I suggested it!

    [/ QUOTE ]
I quoted it in a half-serious way since I don't see anything fundamentally wrong with Containment (or Domination) at the moment. But I agree with the general point about how conceptually, Domination is closer to what you would expect as an inherent for controllers (and I play both). If anything I think that giving Containment (as it is now) to Dominators would probably make them over-powered.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Due entirely to super-sexy other attacks gaining containment damage? Gimme.
  23. Any experience of PvP for me has been a mixed bag. Some good, some bad, some dull.

It's always funny when a supah-stwong Scrapper flees the scene with phase shift, or hides in a group of Longbow and then mocks when I use a CaB....only to then spam a few greens moments later.

Of course I'm [censored] because I can't defeat a scrapper. But what does that make the scrapper that can't defeat me? Hmm.

Also: HISS!! I'll get you Mother! You and your little ones too!
  24. I actually plan on taking Combustion at a later point on my Plants/Fire, I'd think with Carrion + Seeds I could trigger Fiery Embrace, leap in and combust, then leap out and continue as normal.

Early I can see it being a problem, like any AoE/PbAoE with squishies, but if I recall you don't get a large amount of those in /Fire, correct me if that's misinformation, so it might be an idea to consider it, just to get more bang for your buck.

But if you don't use it and your current build is running smoothly then that's just fine, we all play differently, seen Fire Blasters with only ST and they run well.

Might be an idea to reveal your build, see what we can fit in that slot.
  25. Seems my joke was taken as being serious.

Note to self: Include winks and grins to stop that happening next time.
