Most of my builds have about 3 powers I never use, and several slots where I don't need them. In play, it doesn't make enough difference to make me use a respec. I have wonderful plans in Mids for my toons that are theory only
.

Ok, let villains have Positron, Dr Quaterfield and Justin Augustine. Heroes have more TF's, true, but they make up for it with some monumentally bad ones.

Happy Birthday Standoff! Groundhog Day rolls round again

My interwebz broke and I couldn't get to the site. It's a bit better now once I've de-virusssededed my computer.

So is it the Justin Augustine Task Force, called "The Saga of Faathim", or the "The Saga of Lanaru", also known as "Faathim the Kind Task Force"? I'm confused, there are too many Faathim options!

Happy Birthday, Khorak! Have a great day, and read this in a hungover stupor tomorrow morning

Ok, this is purely a theoretical build. I'd never play this build, not enough attacks, not enough endurance recovery. For me, at least.
Buuuuuuut, soft cap to everything bar Psi with one enemy in Invicibility range.

I give up. I can't be bothered to argue with smug, self-certain fanatics.
Anyone arguing against the OP is as likely to convert them as they are likely to convert the Pope to Judaism. For the same reason, too. Smug certainty is unassailable when it comes from having seen "the truth", and just leads to circular, irritating arguments.

I loved to play CoX for a long time now and i always loved the diversity of powers, but lately its starting to get dull.
95% of all brutes are SS/WP.
There is really no reason to roll other combos apart from SS/WP, since SS is the best st AND aoe damg primary and WP is by far the best seconadry.
ALL other primaries and secondaries suck compared to those 2.
I am no fan of nerfs but SS needed a nerf a long time ago, like reduced radius of FS and non stackable rage.
Nothing comes close to WP in survivability.
Granite tanks/brutes have to deal with - rech, - dmg and almost no run speed to compensate the lvl of survivability.
WP has even better survivability with NO downsides at all.
I know ppl dont like nerfs but its a question of balance and reason.
IMO those 2 sets need to be toned down in order to not make others set meaningless.
P.S: I got a SS/Wp too :-)

HELL NO!
If they did that then a Fire/Kin nerf would come next. Then /rad. Because they are powerful combos too.
Edit. I have a WP Scrapper, Brute and Stalker. But I don't have a toon with SS. Yes my Willpower Brute can survive better then my Shield Brute. But who the hell cares?

Moghedien, it would seem. Damn, that rhymed! -

Does SS solo AV's really well? Cause DM and FM can fairly reliably and then you'd want to be SR not WP to survive.

Now, now, this runs counter to the well known datamined PROOF stated earlier. Away with you and your questions! -
I've deleted my first, and second reply.
Brutes rely on Rage. So they have to keep fighting constantly. This makes endurance management their most important factor. Therefore Willpower is the only logical choice, really.
The powersets are becoming increasingly anodyne as the powers all fit into some formula of damage, activation time and endurance cost. Please leave things alone. -
Sounds great fun! Sadly I'm commited on both those days to other teams.
-
I won't make it tonight, I'm off to work now (still on call, sadly).
-
Happy Birthday, youngster (birthdays don't count 'til you hit 30, you know)
.
-
Sadly, I'm on call this weekend, so I may be working when this starts. I'll be there if I can, though.
-
In less than 3 hours, we have done 14 of the 24 missions. Tomorrow, we finish it!
-
I have stealth and tp in my second build, so happy to stealth anything we can.
-
I've never done it, I dread the idea of it, but what the hell. New (to me) high level content!
-
I respecced INTO MoG once it changed, it's a superb boost now.
-
-er.
Definitely grumpiER.
And Palladium, not Palladin.

Tuarus, I'm afraid you couldn't be any further from the truth. In most development situations with a diverse range of disciplines - such as games development - you will frequently find that a member or two of staff are left waiting for someone else to complete required work before they can move on. This leaves them time to work on other, non-required, tasks ... such as, for example, producing materials for the booster packs.
I can say that almost certainly the booster pack development has negligible impact on development of new issues. Rather, they are the product of efficient use of 'downtime' periods in work schedules.
