Would also like to point out that only one MM primary is meleecentric, that being Ninjas. All the rest a ranged damaged dealers apart from the Brute in Thugs which you can quite easily tell to stay passive out of the way on Ghost widow.

Strangely on most runs I've done we've had more problems with sircocoo (or however it's spelt) due to his massive endurance draining huge range AoE.

Never seen Controllers or MMs told to 'put their pets away' with regard Romulous though, if you're 'brute forcing' (as in not seperating him from the nictus at all and just pouring on the damage which is enough to overpower any healing) Romulous down then the more DPS the merrier. Ghost Widow is fine with one or two scrappers in range of her heal, the damage healed back isn't enough to overcome DPS from ranged damage dealers.

I severly doubt that the endgame and incarnate levels will be in the same style as WoW, the devs aren't stupid enough to completely change the reason people play City Of in the first place. If Zone events are anything like previous examples, like say the new halloween apocalypse, then they're not exactly open world raid bosses level of tough.

Edwina ducked into the Dr Fredrichsons office, having been pulled in for a psych evaluation early, her colleges in the department having noticed her little outburst as well as her rather strange behavior, everyone admitted the job was stressful and most of the cops in the high strung areas such as homicide or SWAT tended to be taking tablets, smoking heavily or drinking to help them cope. It wasn't said outloud of course but it was well known.

Edwina slowly slide into the very comfy chair...she was sure there was a joke she could make about this but it probably wasn't the place or the time to do it.

"So...Ms Johnson I hear you've been having some...problems lately..."

Edwina shock her head, "no...no I'm fine, everything is good, more than good, awesome in fact, amazing..."

The psychiatrist let out a sigh, "now I may not be part of the Psi division Ms Johnson but I don't need mind reading to see an lie as obvious as that one..."

Edwina shrugged, "Alright, those pills you gave me, you know, keeping my eccentricites, as you called them, under control, well I had to stop taking them, they were hampering my work...I needed to think clearly, spot the connections those pills would stop me spotting, the little things, it's always the little things that matter..."

"In order to keep your place within the Special Response Unit you have to keep taking them, we can't have people in such a highly specialised unit being unstable during assignments...and you've been investigating something which definitely isn't your case to investigate, the homicide squad can handle things like that, they'll call in the SRU if and when they engage in combat with metahumans...not while investigating..."

"Yeah but it goes deeper than just that, I mean, have you ever just stood there and watched one of those 'trainers'?"

"Erm..no...I haven't but..."

"...that's the thing, nobody does, they stand there, day in day out, never moving, never eating, never taking a toilet break and everyone seems to think it's the most normal thing on the planet, I watched Brawler for twenty four hours solid and never once did he move...just stood there..."

"Yes but..."

"That's the other thing...why do I even NEED to speak to the veteran heroes to know how to use my powers...it makes no sense...I know how to fire a gun, I've been doing it for years...and you can't tell me you haven't noticed the little display of fireworks going off when some moves up a security level, what's that all about huh?"

"Fireworks Ms Johnson?"

"Yeah there's the big flash and some shooting star stuff goes off, never noticed it until I stopped taking my meds...anyway...back to my point about trainers...it makes no sense...just because you've moved up a security level surely you should just...know...you're own powers...sure you're more experienced, explains why fire users can create more fancy stuff but why do you need to speak to Ms Liberty to be able to do it huh?"

"You don't Ms Johnson, the surviving eight are there merely to help guide younger heroes and I assure that they take regular breaks, they're not machines..."

"You ever play that game Max Payne?"

"I can't say that I have Ms Johnson..."

"Well there's a part where the main guy is hallucinating, he picks up a phone, his dead wife tells him he's in a comic book, you laugh because that's how the games cutscenes are done...then he picks up the phone again and the wife tells him that he's in a computer game...you laugh because he is and he makes some reference to thinking it all along..."

"Where is this going Ms Johnson?"

"What if that's us...what if we're just figments of someones imagination...what if you're just a bit part, you're not even important, I mean look at you, stilted dialogue, delivered poorly, you don't even have a first name...you probably repeat the same lines over and over again if someone kept prodding you like that guy infront of the Galaxy girl statue..."

"Ms Johnson, I am giving you two weeks Psych leave, you are to take your medication, regularly, if you are not in a fit state to return to work after those two weeks I shall have you removed from your position in the SRU and from the force entirely, my first name is Johann since you never asked..."

"See you're just saying that to make yourself important now...only reccuring characters get a first..."

"Ms Johnson you are to take your medication NOW...if you do not I shall have contact the local asylum and they shall keep you in there indefinitely..."

"No, I can't go there, it doesn't exist, I'll disappear, be deleted, I'll...take the medication..."

"Good, obviously your unauthorised investigation, seeing those poor children, has affected you, as it would anyone, that combined with your pre-existing condition and your lack of medication has bought on this bout of paranoia...just keep taking the tablets I gave you and you'll feel right as rain in two weeks..."

Edwina stood up...

"yes Doc."

She shuffled off to her desk...she needed to get better...she needed this job...

This is the very reason my namesake doesn't get as much RP as he use to, I have to be in the right frame of mind to full put on the mad scientist persona. If I'm tired I can't pull it off yet that's where most of my characters rambling dialogue comes from, I use to play him when I was completely sleep deprived so the madness would flow a lot easier because my brain wasn't in the normal state anyway but now I have to 'slip in' to character beforehand to play him.

Like putting on a pair of slightly tight old leather gloves, needs a bit of flexing first before you can feel comfortable in them.

While Terrance was waiting for the answers he begun scanning to try to pick up the frequency of the signal and to see if he could replicate the broadcast of it, thereby taking The Spolier out of the loop.

Edwina grinned as she looked over the report, "HA in you face medication...I knew not taking you for a while would pay off..." pointing at two little bottles of pills (one labelled buspirone and one labelled Amitriptyline) accusingly. Though she probably shouldn't have them displayed on her desk considering that her psych evaluation was coming up...she looked around to make sure nobody was looking and quickly pushed them into the draw, buried under some paperwork.

"So we've got something...I have no idea what that something is or even where to start looking but it's definitely something...and..."

She looked at the second report, "...damn it," she cursed loudly, "the bimbo had a point...I don't like this...not one bit, not going to admit she might have been right and that there's more than one ritual site going on...

"Alright this is getting waaay beyond me now, I need to pass this to someone who has more experience in this field...nobody in the department is even remotely good at this kind of magical mumbo jumbo, mystical murders I can deal with, mystical murders relating to a possible large conspiracy within the upper echelons of the media trying to besmirch the good name of heroes that goes above my level...."

Edwina began quietly rambling to herself, "There's got to be someone else doing an investigating job in the department...I can't deal with this, I mean if I go after whoever is causing this, they'll come after the PPD next, then what'll I do, I know it's got to be someone powerful, possibly someone too powerful and well protected for me to go after...still perhaps if I hand this off to someone else then they'll be able to go after them...I can't hand it to the heroes...they can't be trusted...they could already be under whoever is doing this control...I could give it to Fea but then what if she's just pretending to be my friend so she can ruin the casework all along...she could be feeding me false information and I wouldn't even know it!"

Edwina slowly pushed the folder with all her work in it into a draw, "I'll see if anyone else in the department has been looking into this on their own...yes...see who else could use this...I can trust the PPD...I can't trust heroes, not now..."

...she's liasing with the heroes who are doing their own investigation...corallating anything she can find with her own findings. She's not sharing files, she's not once handed over any piece of paper, the casework or anything else, she's shared some info which the heroes could quite easily find out on their own. Heck one of them begun looking into the coroners report before Edwina did.

Paragon Heroes are law enforcement, they're not police but they are involved in their work, otherwise why the hell would detectives give out police band radios...so they can distract the heroes while they deal with the nitty gritty stuff?

Next time I'll just shut up shall I and not say anything if Edwina finds something out...))

It was mentioned during the 'live Q&A report' on a website someone linked to, it's on the 'whiteboard' and probably in the next one or two years.

All Dark Astoria needs is some Faultline style contacts with an overarching storyline between them and possibly a Taskforce to top it all off where you face the 'Sleeper under the graveyard'. Nobody is saying to remodel it.

As Techbot is saying, Revamp doesn't always mean Remodel, it means add stuff to do in the zones that lack stuff to do!

Actually what I'm wondering is...

Will the 'old taskforces' limit your Incarnate power...let's say you want to do the Statesman TF but you're already a level 10 Incarnate, infact your entire team is, does that exclude them from the Master of Badges because it's that much easier now?

I'm guess the 10 incarnate levels will be handled the same was as other endgame advancement systems, where the additional levels are purely in the advancement system, so you remain level 50 but essentially become 50+ with incarnate level 1, 50++ with incarnate level 2 etc.

I'm wondering what these abilities are going to be.

Are we going to have to pick being an incarnate, if so which gods? Do they have to be the Greek/Roman gods or can you be an incarnate of Thor or somesuch?

Shall be interesting to see.
