  1. Psyrene, if I wanted to make a Grav/Ta for pure annoyance... what would you suggest build wise for Zonal.. team and solo? No restrictions on the IO's available for me btw :P

    I wouldn't make a WP scrapper... they don't have the Hp cap to make the most of the percentage based heals or regeneration.

    Km I would agree with "until it's nerfed" but if you are going scrapper, Regen is pretty much the only option.

    really?

    I would agree with the original statement to a certain extent. Blaster style play is more similair to Doms and Corrs than if you were playing a stalker, or Melee class so in that way it's correct but you won't become a wonderful Corruptor from playing blasters, you could pick up some useful skills that you will also use on those similair style of characters tho.

    At least that is how i read it.
  8. I run a WP tank for Zonal and I have had great times on it... Best thing to go for on one is massive Hp, Recharge and Regen... There are a few toons that can kill your regen completely so make sure you have Aid self and slot loads of Numi's thoughout the build to get yourself the 30% Heal bonus... Currently my Tank's Aid is healing over 800Hp every 7secs and that's after DR, she sits at 3189 Hp base and with alright Res throughout the build especially against Psi blasters as I also have tough makes it the closest to pre i13 tanking in pvp as I feel you can get.

    So yea, alround great fun if you build it right... Whether your in Arena, 2v2 or more, Zonal or even fightclubbing.

    Hope the OP has as much fun on their WP as I do.

    Figures on mine are,

    112% Rech inc hasten, not inc FF proc.
    25% Melee Defense
    15% Ranged Defense
    90% res to Fire
    3.23 End/Sec with 0.9 drain

    Runs the map you are thinking about very well.

There are a few sounds that would be nice if they were changed or similair to the alternate animations also have an alternate choice of sound fx so that when creating a character we can choose the type that matches our theme or preference. Personally I would like to see....i mean hear these sets to be changed if poss

    Archery - Less twang and more like the strongbow adverts please.

    Assault Rifle - More like Dual pistiols please

    Electric Blast - Sounds weak.... can it not be a cross between lightning and the pop of a bug zapper?

    Martial Arts - Is it possible to have more of a swooshing noise and little more impact when they hit?

    AR Blaster

    ye you don't see many AR about, I fancied making one recently and using IO's to buff it loads... what is the best to slot in one?? Recharge so Full Auto is up as much as poss???

    I love the cones in the build.. seems like a ranged monster, i will be usind Energy Manipulation for Boost range.

    I'm going to check the defender threads now, you've probably posted there that a lvl 9 tank can survive 8man mobs but your lvl 26 Defender dies!!!

    it's a 10% chance for 5% heal... not 5% chance, so im hoping for the best if I slot into Sirens Song and Mass hypnosis



    This is what i'm thinking build wise... Going to be a farm hand basically, for when team farms need speeded up and I fancy playing something a lil different... Designed for SoftCap to Ranged, good Endurance and to keep groups of mobs at the most -res possible from a safe height.

    If I used Shockwave while flying, would this cause Knock Back or down ?? I've heard while flying it's changed..... Anyone please?


    Oh! and another thing... the Call of the Sandman Proc, if it hits a group in say Sirens Song would you only get 1 application of 5% heal to self like the +recharge proc from Forced Feedback, or would it check on all the mobs hit to gives stacked heals like a damage proc...

  20. I have a 50 io'd Sonic/Sonic and I love her to bits, it's def a team toon tho... if you want to solo switch to Red side get a patron and a Pet to place your disrupting ring on.

    Yea that's true, probably more so solo tho... A Kin no matter the level will speed up any team that you are in so if you really wanted a Fire/Kin at 50 you will be best to team, probably hit 20 go vigilante and do every TF and SF there is at the appropriate level and you will more or less be done.

    When someone posts about farming I assume they are at level cap, as they should be.

    Sorry didn't notice this thread about farming til now... the red phone that usually flashes must be on the blink if you excuse the pun.

    Okay, beginner farming = Fire / Kin / Earth Controller, fight S/L mobs this runs very nicely for starting out as it can farm efficiently on SO's

    After IO's I would either invest into a better epic for the controller or switch to a Brute / Scrapper, Blasters and Domi's pretty much have to be top end billion inf builds.

    I would not even consider a tank, yes they are survivable but that is not the aim, it's a farm not a PuG team... tanks can kill eventually and although you may feel they are performing, something else will easily out perform it.

    Your aim is efficiencey, the one thing that people misunderstand about farming is it's not about killing mobs or surviving them, it's about a steady smooth turnover of kills. Hence why you don't Nuke or herd in farms.

    My suggestion to start with is run x8 +2 Battle Maiden warriors on a Fire kin Earth, map the mission first if you are going to be PL'ing... this means you run round the map to fill it up with mobs before inviting your gf's alt as this will mean you won't spawn bosses that you can't handle or will slow you down.

    Craft your drops and sell them on the Auction House, people will thank you for the supply and vendor your salvage drops unless you get rare ones.

    Don't invite others when you are PLing... although they kill mobs faster they will also sap the xp given, we lost out big time with the new super sidekicking system not being able to get level 46 xp from 50+ mobs, the only way to combat this is to have maps of 8man mobs and only 2 on the map 1 farmer 1 benefitting.

    Sinisterdirge, if he's farming for drops he's probably running x8 -1 which makes those numbers possible.
