Knock Back/Down

If I used Shockwave while flying, would this cause Knock Back or down ?? I've heard while flying it's changed..... Anyone please?


Oh! and another thing... the Call of the Sandman Proc, if it hits a group in say Sirens Song would you only get 1 application of 5% heal to self like the +recharge proc from Forced Feedback, or would it check on all the mobs hit to gives stacked heals like a damage proc...

It's not changed when you're flying, it's just that the knockback is directional, so if you fire it from almost above them you're knocking them directly down into the ground.*


Call of the Sandman works like a damage proc, it'll check against everyone you hit and I think it can trigger more than once to provide multiple heals (I think, haven't managed to see that happen myself).

You'd have to test it against large mobs. Sirens Song is supposed to cap out at 18 enemies, which is 2 enemies off of "guaranteeing" a proc hit. 5% means 1 in every 20 should be effected. If you consistently go at large mobs then you'd be able to test it properly to see if you can have it hit twice. If I were a betting man, I'd guess it'd work like a damage proc, just not very likely to happen as it's only 5%.

it's a 10% chance for 5% heal... not 5% chance, so im hoping for the best if I slot into Sirens Song and Mass hypnosis



This is what i'm thinking build wise... Going to be a farm hand basically, for when team farms need speeded up and I fancy playing something a lil different... Designed for SoftCap to Ranged, good Endurance and to keep groups of mobs at the most -res possible from a safe height.

I used to use the healing proc in mass hypnosis, and it can go off multiple times with a single casting. It didn't make any difference for me though, so I ended up dropping it.

QFT, I find it problematic. The heal amount is relatively tiny even if it procs several times it has to do so 5+ times to come close to Healing Aura nevermind something like Transfusion, or a single target heal like Heal Other. Combine that with the tendency to use aoe Sleeps as an alpha/opener when one is at or near max health , though how much that part might change do to moving at speed as a farmer I can only guess.

As an aside though while I can't say the Call of the Sandman does so for sure, Entropic Chaos chance for self heal can be effected by PBU while PBU is active.

The mission this toon is designed for is a stand still ambush style one, My character will be flying and softcapped to ranged damage so the heal is simply to add to the standard regen and fill the attack chain.

I use it in a /ice tank in froxen aura, AoE and effectively it just provides me with extra background regen rather than proper healing (and often goes off multiple times). It's underwhelming on squishies, although I did use it on my elec/elec blapper where the punches do a sleep.

That's a decent idea for my Elec/SR stalker. The placate proc wasn't working how I wanted, but this way I'll have a self heal on top of Aid Self, and much more convient, assuming it goes off when I want it to.
