Please post your feedback in this thread!
- The Greater Mystic Aspect goes down a bit too easy. The lag on 'distance' update, plus the need to triangulate turns him into a bit of a lotto - will you find him in time do deal enough damage for the badge? Or was the last twenty minutes wasted? -
Or nobody has responded because the concept makes absolutely no sense.

How's it feel to know that you'll probably be buying a cell phone that is just know getting features others have had for years now? Or that it still cannot do some simple things?
[/ QUOTE ]
Heck, my cell phone barely has features people were getting eight years ago and is itself four years old.
So what? I don't define myself (or my friends) by the toys I/they own and the features they do or don't have. I buy tools that have the functions I need, not toys that have the features I want (or have been induced to want). (And am capable of distinguishing between needs and wants, much to the frustration of Madison Avenue.) -

The theme from Shaft might fit for Babs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Somehow my brain had blocked that one out...
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought about suggesting it, but concluded it wouldn't work unless you could find an instrumental version. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm astounded that for Back Alley Brawler, not a SINGLE person suggested this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Stereotypes for the LOSS... As was said above, why concentrate on his race, and why score a hero from the 70's and 80's with a 90's tune?
For BaB consider this: Tears for Fear - Shout (Digging through my meager funk/soul collection doesn't bring anything to mind.)
For Sister Psyche: Micheal Oldfield - Tubular Bells (Theme from The Excorcist) or Nine Days - Story of a girl.
For Manticore: Cake - Going The Distance
Man there's some good ones in my MP3 collection... Hadn't really dug through it in a while. (Goes off whistling as he cues up one of the twenty different versions of "Ghostriders in the Sky" in his collection.) -

I intend to do what I usually do - I add 5-10 years to my age so everyone tells me how fabulous I look.

Fabulous? Then this video is for you! -

They can take these tickets to an Architect ticket vendor and redeem them for various in game rewards, such as enhancements, recipes and salvage.

Yet *another* loot ticket/vendor/unlockable system? I love the rest of MA, this gets a big thumbs down. -

I didn't think it possible, but NC has done it again - they've managed, yet again, to select the lamest video possible to advertise their wares. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm thinking much the same from the folks wanting to focus on high quality arcs. Or perhaps a lot of incremental "upgrades" to previously published arcs as they get more proficient and tweak the designs, taking down old arcs and replacing them with newer versions.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which raises the question of what will happen if people are midway through arcs that a creator wants to unpublish. -

One thing I want to caution you about MM is it is a fairly passive gaming experience. Masterminds in general are very easy to buff/build into a creation that largely runs itself.
[/ QUOTE ]
My MM's (Bots/FF) thought pattern runs thusly;
<ul type="square">
Back in my base I've spent endless hours tuning my robots, perfecting their programming, adjusting their parameters, anticipating every possible complication...
I am the conductor who spends hours patiently leading his orchestra in practice so that react to the slightest subtle movement of my baton or wave of my hand.
I am the sniper, that with a single pull of the trigger sends a bullet into the brain.
When the enemy falls and my robots assume their default ready position... Were my eyes not metal I would weep over that single perfect moment of orgasm. My mind has met his brute force...
And prevailed utterly.[/list]
He's a very sick man is Servo Master. The world is not a better place because he roams free within it.
That being said...
Not all MM builds are that passive, especially with pets that prefer melee combat over ranged. (The mystical winds blow inconstantly, I must stay attuned to them and execute the precise ritual at the precise moment they shift lest they become a storm and blow my soul into the Void.)
And that's really the first to choice you have to make building an MM - do you prefer ranged over melee combat? The danger of laying close alongside an enemy or the safety of executing from a distance?
The second choice is whether you prefer active intervention in the battle, or stand like a distant general having set things in motion a merely awaiting the conclusion of the battle - one way or the other? -

Besides, when running a Mac client, we do not worry about IE 7 and it's vulnerabilities because Mac does respect your browser choice, unlike the "other" side.
[/ QUOTE ]
Respect for your browser choice is a function of the application, not the OS. It all depends on how lazy the programmers were. -

I know I'm gonna get a lot of snowballs thrown my way, and called Scrooge for saying this, but...
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
In short, I would like to see the devs working on nothing else but I13 issues, to the exclusion of everything else, until the major problems with it are resolved.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not a Scrooge, just not connected with reality. The code for almost all of these things is already written and installed on the servers - not flipping the switch to turn them on doesn't gain any Dev time for other issues.
[ QUOTE ]
I'd like to see the devs finally come out and say they're sorry, fully admiting that I13 is irrevically broke. And then take that which was broken by it back to the starting point - and either leave it alone or start again with less loftier goals.
[/ QUOTE ]
ROTFL. -
I've got to chime in with the 'lame' faction here... If I wasn't already playing the game, that vid would have left me nothing but confused and decidedly *not* motivated to give the game a try. I13 is hard enough to get people motivated about because (other than the PvP revamp) it's such a 'lite' issue... (A little QoL, a little plot, some shiny bits.) But even so, Dark_Respite's vid managed to sex it up.

Personally I think the forums are a terrible place to store guides. A Wiki would be much better suited. I would like to see Paragon Wiki house these guides. It has guides to some things but it's mostly game mechanics and systems, not guides to powersets and archetypes.
[/ QUOTE ]
The problem is that a Wiki is even worse than the forums - because you tend to get articles filled with tasteless mush after they've been rewritten so many times to get everyone to agree on the contents. -
[ QUOTE ]
The real reason is that CuppaJo left and there are no updated official guide to guide threads (That I know of) concerning the Archetypes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Rather than spreading rumors - you might try going to guides forum, opening the Guide to Guides thread, choosing an AT section... And checking the date of the most recent update. -

Also, just to address a common question that comes up when we do these exclusives, is why we put them out on MMORPG.com first. We do this to gain exposure for the game. We host articles such as this as an exclusive on a gaming website and then will host the same information here on our website shortly thereafter.
So, if you don't want to go to MMORPG.com to view the video or screenshots, you'll be able to find them on the CityofHeroes.com website by the end of the week.

Personally those that complain about something like this fully don't understand marketing strategies...
[/ QUOTE ]
NCSoft has a marketing strategy? Coulda fooled me. -
Folks should note that many of the day jobs known to date involve being inside of a place I.E. you are transported somewhere other than the surface geometry via a door. Others involve being within the radius of active ingame objects - I.E., drones.
This suggests that there are limits on where the game can detect you are logged out. It's easy (relatively speaking) to know that a character is logged out at "Steel Canyon, 345,042,97 facing SSW", but it's much harder to know that "Steel Canyon, 345,042,97" is a beach, or next to a dumpster, or anything like that. -

IGNORING THE SILLY DRAMA OF THE THREAD...
I will be at whatever Meet and Greet there is unless something happens and Seattle like... blows up or something.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was planning on being there - until I realized just how little the Dev's care about the Meet and Greet. Last year Posi blew it off to speak on a panel. This year, they can't even make the effort to find a venue. -
[ QUOTE ]
Please let me know what you think!
[/ QUOTE ]
Gave up about a minute into it. -
[ QUOTE ]
I may be heading up for this one, depending on the timing of some things going on right now.
[/ QUOTE ]
Does that imply there actually will be one? -
[ QUOTE ]
CoX already has the "have and have nots." just take a look at the market forums.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, what CoX has <in the markets> are the "know and know nots" or the "willing to invest time and effort and the unwilling to invest time and effort". If you are a 'have not' in the market - the fault is not your stars Horatio, but within yourself. -

Many have narrowed their reading areas and only follow their server forums, Community Digest, and Dev Digest.
[/ QUOTE ]
Then many need to add Anouncements to that - there's pretty important stuff in there. Plus, it's rarely used so it's not like it takes long. The digests are... iffy sometimes.
[/ QUOTE ]
If only Announcements didn't suck so badly to read - there's a _ton_ of stickied posts, and posts below the sticked ones are all out of order.
Besides which, anything a dev or community rep posts to Announcements is visible in their respective Digests anyhow. -

I got forcefully disconnected because of no warning about server downtime

The warning was posted to the forums yesterday.
