Quote:*Ouch* That means I cannot switch my alignment at will - only when a series of random drops finally gives me the ability to do so.Customers who do not choose to upgrade with the Going Rogue expansion will be able to do "Tip" missions, but will not be able to switch their alignments.
As mentioned in the ViDoc videos, characters have to do a number of "Tip" missions before they can get a "Morality" mission. The "Morality" mission is the determining mission that changes your alignment, and is only available to players who purchase the Going Rogue expansion.
That is Not Fun. -
Quote:Minor derail - but you do know that your character select screen shows the character location *and* you get that locations loading screen when you're loading the character?Like many, I don't like the copy pasted buildings. However, I wouldn't really mind if each zone had its own copy pasted buildings. This is one of the reasons I much prefer redside. If I log in a character and can't remember where I left it, I can see right away that I'm in Grandville or Mercy Island without looking at the map.

Quote:Sure - but the question is... what audience?People gotta remember the NC Soft guy is making his trailer for a different audience.
D_R's videos are popular not because they appeal to our sensibilities - but because they're well done. They use music, and pacing, creative camera angles, and all the other stuff that even I (who have some graphic arts OJT but no video experience or training) know about.
The NCSoft trailers on the other hand are dull, lifeless, leaden lumps. This appeals to who exactly? Not Bob & Betty Sixpack. Not J. Random Gamer either. Not to anyone I can think of. -

I was thinking the same thing - you can't offer build advice if the concept is never actually explained.

I also certify that I am at least 13 years of age and am eligible to participate in this contest.

Actually, there isn't really. There's a lot of talk about it, and it's a particularly virulent internet meme, but very little actual science.

Quote:I bet it means you start over again at a lower level.I find this interesting from that interview:
Quote:Having said that, if you just pick up and walk away from everything youve accomplished as a hero, there are consequences to your decisions. If youve made a name for yourself in the higher echelons of Paragon City, what makes you think you have any street cred in the Rogue Isles? -

Which is precisely why the Dev's put the 'disable earning XP' option into the game.

You say that as if it were new - when in fact, it's pretty much the general pattern. Marketing announces an expansion or issue... and then, at best, information leaks out by bits and dribbles over the following months.
-
I have no doubt of that - but the question in the minds of the Playerbase is, what exactly is it the do that they are so good at?
Quote:The truth of the matter is that TV commercials are expensive and won't bring in enough new users to justify the cost. Our team gets us banner ads on sites like Ten Ton Hammer and they try very hard to keep our nearly 6 year old game in the gaming press -- which frankly is not an easy job.
Let's see some guerrilla stuff, some creativity. Get Gregg Dean to draw and place a banner ad on the front page of Real Life. (Hell, give him a years free subscription.) Become a sponsor for Girl Genius. Work with the city officials of Paragon IN....
Lots of fresh ideas, not all of which require a great deal of money but which do require punching some holes in the sides of the box.
Quote:The fact that schedules change or planned features don't pan out as being feasible sometimes means that their plans have to shift, which causes delays in information release. -
Heard in global chat last night:
In the real world, all you need is WD-40 or duct tape to solve most problems. Paragon City's answer to that is scrappers and rads. -

OK, now I feel like a proper idiot. I was 110% certain I'd paid the rent... but when I logged in I got the "your rent is due [some time ago you freeloader]" message. Paid up the rent, and all is fine now.

I recently returned after a short break, and my base does not function as it claims it has neither power or control. How do I fix this? (Yes, the appropriate power supply and control items are present. It functioned nicely prior to the break.)

There ae any number of place on the web that will help you convert PST into GMT, or any other time zone you desire.

Forgot to add...
-SSK is a real problem here... 50's exemped down lose access to a lot of their powers, that's not going to be popular. I know about the GM code, but I'm talking perception here.
