Quote:As do I. I have two accounts. One has Epics unlocked. The other has only lowbies and mid-levels. Now I can create Epics both accounts. Or am I, per the OP, supposed to be upset that my second account hasn't earned it?
I see this as a good thing. -
These are instanced forums. Just because you don't see the entire forum base doesn't mean they aren't posting new merge server threads even as we speak...

Don't think of it as a bug. Think of it as a free Croquet mallet emote.

I always wonderted what Kheldian language sounded like ...

• All of my human natural characters who fly have Legion, I mean, anti-gravity flight rings.
• All of my human natural characters who superjump have Flubber, I mean, Increda-rubber soles on their bouncey boots.
• All of my human natural characters who superspeed have low-clearance rollerblade shoes that spark a lot against the pavement.

Except for the inevitable dc'ing, I had a lot of fun at the event. My granite tank got quite the workout atop Talos hill.
Thank you, devs.
I also want to thank the Sisterhood teams for all the reinvites during the hectic happenings. A special thanks goes out to Valor who did a great job directing traffic and specifying attack targets in the Talos zone.
Funniest broadcast line during a particularly rough patch in the event: "Liberty, the empath-free server" -

Thanks as always for hosting the event.
I'd been looking forward to the event all week as I've never done that task force before, but had to bail just before the event kicked off due to an unplanned situation here at the ol' Hornet hive. Shucks and other comments.
Apologies to Night Dawn's team. Hope I didn't cause folks problems.

Quote:Dreadlocks. One word. With a 'k'.
Sorry, but it had to be said. I came into this thread assuming it would have to do with the /loc command.
Actually, at the risk of showing my age, I thought "LoC" was referring to the old comic book term "Letter of Comment," back in the pre-internet days when they used to print fan letters in comic books. Many of those LoCs were, indeed, long and dread(ful).
Excuse me now while I go take my Geritol...

In my fifties. Born in the Eisenhower administration, my first comic was a Batman ten-center, and, yes, I do know who Jack Benny was (and Rochester, too).
-
I like the announced lvl 20 change. I've unlocked my Khelds and SoAs the hard way, slogging through level 50, but unlike the OP, I don't feel shortchanged in the least. To the contrary, I feel like I'm gaining:
1) I can make epics on my second account that has twenties but no fifty yet. Yay!
2) More khelds played. Perhaps with a bigger kheld-playing population, the devs might feel it's now worth spending development time giving Khelds a little love.
. -
Thanks again for planning and running the event. I had a lot of fun and got to dust off one of my older characaters. I'd planned to stick around for the second TF but had to bail before it started. Can't wait for future events!

Congrats to all of the above! Some very nice badge totals there.
I'm not on CIT, but I think my namesake main alt/badging toon has 441. I've gotten about 40 or so of those since I started hanging out with the Sisterhood & friends and the scheduled events.

Clarification:
(1) The proposed Richochet Shot is a ranged attack using the targeting mechanics of Chain Induction. It is not a melee attack. The character shoots an arrow which hits the first target then richochets to the next etc. The proposed secondary set has the same number of melee attacks as Devices: none.
(2) The proposed Web Arrow and Smoke Screeen Arrow are arrow-ized versions of Devices' Web Grenade and Smoke Grenade. The only power copied over from TA is Oil Slick.

==================================================
Trick Archery -- Proposed Blaster Secondary power set
==================================================
==================
Design Parameters:
===================
Distinct from Trick Arrow set
Eliminate bow weapon redraws between this secondary and Archery primary (no melee attacks)
Leave major crowd debuffing to Defender/Controller/Corruptor Trick Arrow set
Utilize existing powers to minimize design effort (exception Tier 9 power)
Unique Tier 9 Power that defines the set
========
Overview
========
Trick Archery
Your highly-honed archery skills and specially-tipped arrows can dramatically alter a battle site.
1. Web Arrow
2. Smoke Sreen Arrow
3. Build Up
4. Knockout Gas Arrow
5. Boost Range
6. Tesla Arrow
7. Ricochet Shot
8. Oil Slick Arrow
9. Spirit of Agincourt/Master Archer/Nonpareil (3 name choices offered)
======
Powers
======
1. Web Arrow -- Arrow version of Traps Web Grenade
2. Smoke Screen Arrow -- Arrow version of Devices Smoke Grenade
3. Build Up -- typical Blaster Build Up (animation does not drop bow)
4. Knockout Gas Arrow -- Arrow version of Blaster Munitions Mastery Sleep Grenade Game. Keep grenade's small 15' radius.
5. Boost Range -- Energy Manipulation Boost Range (animation does not drop bow)
6. Tesla Arrow -- Arrow version of Tesla Coil
7. Ricochet Shot -- Arrow version of Scrapper Chain Induction (uses Stunning Shot arrow tip for animation, arrow "bounces" between struck targets). Smashing damage only.
8. Oil Slick Arrow -- TA Oil Slick Arrow. Possibly reduce radius.
9. Spirit of Agincourt/Master Archer/Nonpareil -- While this power is active, you are the living embodiment of history's greatest archers. Toggle: Self +ToHit, +Recharge, Special
+tohit 7% (= Tactics pool power [blaster stats] self buff only)
+Recharge 20% (= Quickness power)
Removes all Interrupt on Archery primary set Ranged Shot power
High end cost (= Focused Accuracy)
Enhancements allowed: Endurance Reduction, +To Hit, Recharge Reduction
IO sets allowed: +To Hit
Tier 9 Power Game Balance Considerations: This self-buff toggle combines the equivalent of 1 passive & 1 power pool toggle power -- with 1 unique mechanic applied to one specific power -- balanced by a notably high end cost and the use of Tier 9 slot. Toggle drops on successful stun/hold/sleep on character. IO sets limited to +To Hit. Power not available until level 38, and greyed-out if SSKd below level 33. Lengthy recharge on non-interruptible Ranged Shot prevents it from becoming uberpower. Increased use of Ranged Shot in combat makes up some of the damage lacking in Trick Archery normally found in other Blaster secondaries.
===================
Power Set Summary:
===================
1 ST Immob
1 ST Hold
1 Small Radius AOE Sleep
2 AOE Debuffs (1 -tohit/percep, 1 KD with possible AOE DOT damage)
1 AOE Damage attack
2 Self-Buff clicks
1 Toggle Self-Buff

I don't care either way on this suggestion, but the following is not a reason for not doing it:
Quote:The very very early Superman of the 1930s came from a Krypton whose inhabitants derived their powers from science. This was later changed to people from Krypton just naturally have superpowers away from a red sun.not to mention how many times have you seen a hero or villian change his origin?
The Flash (or rather Flashes) acquired super-speed via scientific experiements only to have the source of their power revealed to be the mysterious (natural) Speed Force.
Wonder Woman lost her magical Amazonian powers in the late 1960s and became a normal natural human fighting crime with judo chops. She eventualy returned to her Amazonian magic-based powers.
The Beast of X-Men fame started out as mutant with oversized hands & feet and acrobatic ability. In the 70s he had a little scientific accident with some chemicals and turned into a blue furred real beast.
Hawkeye of the Avengers started out a technology arrow gadget-using archer, but then quoffed Hank Pym's scientific growth serum to become Goliath. Eventally, he changed back to the bows.
Captain Mar-Vell started out as a sci-fi green-and-white spacesuited hero and later had his very being altered by Eon into a naturally god-like cosmically aware protector of the universe.
Doctor Fate started his original Golden Age comic book run as a magic-weilding sorceror and ended it as a half-helmed non-magical Superman-lite with unexplained natural super-strength and invulnerablitliy.
Iron Ace was just a natural guy in a suit of armor flying a fighter plane in his 1940s Hillman comics adventures, but returned in the 1980s Eclipse run as a human-brain-in-a-robot-body tech character.
The list goes on.

Perhaps add an additional selection to a HEAT's "difficult slider": I want to/do not want to cap the number of Shadow cysts a crystal generates.

Not to knock the players who enjoy Ninja Run or the developers who worked on it, but quite frankly the aesthetics of Ninja Run creep me out.
In motion, it's City of Samurai Jack. At rest, it's City of Quasimodo. I'll be sticking with Power Pool travel powers, sprints, and jetpacks, thank you very much.

It's actually a "slouch hat," a type of hat commonly worn by US Cavalry troops during the Civil War and the later Indian Wars. Popular in the American Old West, too. (There's also a Wikipedia article about them that leaves out 1800s use in the States, but goes into considerable detail about the hat's usage history in British Empire countries -- the archtypal Aussie bush hat is a type of slouch hat, for example.)
Perhaps the "duster" name came from associating the slouch hat with the "dusters" -- the long trenchcoat-like coats -- worn in Spagetti Western and Peckinpah movies. (See the Wild Bunch as protrayed in MY NAME IS NOBODY, for example.)
The Shadow, Golden Age pulp magazine hero of the 1930s and 1940s, wore a slouch hat. It's always described as by that name in the texts.
Hope this helps.
