  1. I am running a 5830 at 1680*1050 maximum settings no issues at all.
  2. I like to remain optimistic, I do think you (developers) are going to get less and less feedback from the community as more and more subjects role out. Like many say, all this has been said many times before.

I may suggest to get the best possible feedback with the most direct answers during this time that the powers to be approve of a statement long the lines of "Although we can not give a time frame yet we will be changing the pvp portion of the game in the future."

It will/should inspire very knowledgeable player to help rather than nay say. You may admit most have a good readon for skepticism.

I believe with the recent interviews suggesting CoH has a frustrated group of players the company will address the issue now. So if it is going to happen put some heads together, get permissions and release a statement even if it will be a long process.

Help us help you... thanks for listening.
  3. I believe in your guide one of the things you mentioned as overlooked was the power supply. It is kind of a double edged sword when it comes to the power supply, either not enough thought low or high to an extreme beyond possible upgrade.
  4. Kinda stinks atleast Z came by and said he was still looking at the thread. Oh well.
  5. Beastyle?... any news thoughts on changes or a general timeline?...what are you's thinking atm?
  6. Let's just hope AMD has a cleaner release than Intel this summer... ish.

For those of you not familiar with processors you should know that Intel has faster processors... but this does need some perspective. Some of these faster desktop processors are very expensive and cost as much as or a very substantial percentage of a good gaming computer. A top of the line AMD is at a respectable price point and will be sufficient for the most demanding of current games, and should allow several years of head room.

That being said I am not saying that an AMD is a better choice at any given price point just that mid range does not equate to mid range performance.
  8. Comprises... blah, after they adjust archery I would like a snipe of at least 1/2 mile for assault rifle.
  9. The thing I liked most was when powers worked more than just "at the core"...
  10. Congratulations Yydr, enjoy your new computer.
  11. Hey, Hyper sorry didn't follow the $400 comparison... is that what you spent?

I like my Vertex and find the performamce least on par, without any tweaking I'm booting in just at 35 seconds.
  12. 64 is plenty for the operating system, CoH, all kinda other necessary programs for browsing, security, etc... and even another game like... CoD for example. Then you are getting to the end.
  13. For me the Corsair 600T is the way to go. But like you said it is a personal choice... as long as your gear fits and its not a hot box. (and your budget allows) The flexibility of the case is fantastic and should last you through all your future needs.

OK... one more thing as long as its not a noise maker either, you may be surprised how different cases are when it comes to construction.
  14. Antec is just promoting 25 years, the 1200 is very popular no matter what its incarnation. If you like it it will work fine.
  15. I see what you are saying. I guess I am also dependant on the old system though. It really is no fun going into a pvp zone attacking npcs and getting mezzed through what was mez protection... then toggle powers back on that were ment to protect and/or provide dps. But then again the zone is empty so it's not even fun to "curse" my misfortune.
  16. I did Apex for the first time lucky I was not wanting to prove anything... an Invul/ that had run it before took point. I was up and down... so it worked out best. I did not know what the hydra could do and paid a price. Also at the end look out for the big blue circles of death. But it should be no harder than any other tank listening to the advise above about the hydra and death patch.
  17. It is not that they are to small. Your situation is no different than a person with a full size atx motherboard purchasing a 10 inch or longer graphics card. You just need to make sure it fits... not in length but rather if anything is going to be in the way. Just because your card is longer than your motherboard is no reason to purchase a different form/size.

From my phone it is difficult to see but plenty LAN party machines are built the same way. You don't need a super motherboard that gets great reviews for your needs. You need a dependable board.

Sorry side thought remember your case needs enough width to accommodate that cooler also.
  18. The CPU cooler would be a good match for your cpu. Cooler tempraturers are better and even if you don't really "need" it it should be quieter than the stock cooler..
  19. I don't know about Seldom but most of my other toons are Tanks... no chafing allowed.
  20. I have an energy/energy built for range and knockback and it is fun. In a team I need toe play a lot of death from way above so the knockback gives the knockdown effect though.

Yes, she is taller than I.
Technically, you should use the subject pronoun after than (e.g., I), as opposed to the object pronoun (me). However, English speakers commonly use the object pronoun.

    Then
    Then has numerous meanings.
    1. At that point in time
    I wasn't ready then.
Will you be home at noon? I'll call you then.
    2. Next, afterward
I went to the store, and then to the bank
Do your homework and then go to bed
    3. In addition, also, on top of that
He told me he was leaving, and then that I owed him money
It cost $5,000, and then there's tax too
    4. In that case, therefore (often with "if")
If you want to go, then you'll have to finish your homework.
    I'm hungry!
    Then you should eat.
    The Bottom Line
Than is used only in comparisons, so if you're comparing something use than. If not, then you have to use then. What could be easier than that?
You could have posted on topic then the post would have been more helpful than you thought..

To the op, pvp looks like it may get looked at fairly soon so keep that in mind as you spend your inf.
  22. I am sorry Father, I really have no idea where you are going with your posts. The op wanted ideas on a motherboard.

So I simply suggested the op look at two current hydra boards... I did not suggest them over anything just that he look at them since they are relatively unknown to some. The op mentioned two CPU's and four parts among with other general criteria.

As it pertains to the post I found it interesting that Zep suggested the op start with the amount of RAM... which was mentioned at 16gigs. Then decide which ram ddr2 or ddr3. This alone caught my curiosity as it pertains to the relevant decision presented by the op. The op wanted to "assemble something new" which I understood as not using old parts. (maybe I was wrong) That being the case even if at the moment ddr3 offers less than amazing improvement over ddr2 would you guide the op to use memory that is not going to be able to be used on today latest and greatest chipsets. As you mentioned maybe in the future the op will need to be more frugal but want an Intel sandy board or am3+ board.

Then you said Zep was right and he had true statements which I guess I misunderstood as you thinking I thought the opposite. Zep had good points, just curious why choose a memory standard first before seemingly thinking about anything else when it was... ok as I understood it to be a new build.

After that you compared an old computer to a classic car. Which I did not understand, apparently that has been cleared to be a lack of money or space. Which again I am confused about the explanation, when the op is after near top of the line products from amd and adding in less than cheap components off the bat, not to mention showing interest in a top of the line asus rog motherboard.

I guess I just am reading your words wrong but again I don't assume everyone can afford a new computer. I am just trying to help the op with the question. Just as Zep was, I tried to be as clearly nice as I could in text about my curiosity, minds think differently... one way does not need true or false, correct or wrong... just a different way thinking. Knowing these ways can help me look at things different as it pertains to a subject.

I digress, the topic is off track.
  23. Nothing, powers that only work at the core are not liked by me.
  24. One more thing about Cyberpower for sure is that they can and will switch any component out for an item that is "equal". So if you have a specific reason on selecting a part hope it does not get switched.
