PvP stuff is just messed up is all.

Quote:428.36 + (160.63 * 0.2) = 460.486How are you determining this.
These are the numbers:
Cryonic, Ionic, Void: 428.36 + 20% chance of 160.63 (target caps: 32, 40, 24 respectively)
Pyronic: 428.36 + 6 ticks of 80% chance of 21.42 damage (target cap: 24)
I suppose Pyronic may out-pace Ionic and Cryonic if there aren't more than 24 enemies targeted.
All these numbers, however, have very little effect on my response to the OP:
Pick whichever one looks coolest to you, they will all slaughter enemies.
426.36 + 6 * (21.42 * 0.8) = 528.816
It's true that the target cap might factor in, but that's pretty rare. Although that is one of the perks of Ion. It has a really high target cap and can even hit a target more than once. But it's not a consistent perk, and it's rare you'll have more than one spawn close enough to hit with the attack (although not impossible in the trials).
But having said that, if you value that, then go for it. Pyronic is best for pure damage per target. But if you value being able to hit more targets, there's nothing wrong with that.
The way the powers are laid out though, Pyronic is best for damage, Void is best for debuff, and Ion has a handful of unique attributes that give it an interesting flair. -
Not all AVs run, it depends on their powers and AI. Try fighting Countess Crey; she runs.
-
I don't think it's a bug. It's the price you pay for it being an AoE buff that can buff multiple people. Seers only do 5%, but they keep it perma, on one person. Battle Orbs do an AoE buff, but as a result it's not always on.
-
Pyronic is the best for damage if that's all you care about. Void is the best for debuff. Ion has some interesting qualities though.
As a chain attack, it has the ability to hit the same target more than once. It has a high target cap too (more than the other powers). And since it chains, it can actually "reach" pretty far from the primary target. If you go Ion, the radial tree probably has the most useful effects (the hold).
Also don't get put off by Ion's chain attribute. It has none of the downsides of normal chain attacks. -
I was there!
We saw the warning and decided to do a speed BAF. Despite the rampant running, we managed to clear phase 3 with zero prisoners getting through. We pulled neither AV; they were at their respective corners of the map.
All in all we did it in under 20. Since we still had time to talk, zone in, watch the cinematic, and zone back before the 10 minute warning. -
For Interface you should be aware there's a bug where pets can't trigger the DoT proc. I'd suggest looking at a different one, or waiting to build that one last until they fix it. Or focus on the -RES tree instead.
The +HP might work good for pets. I might also suggest you try the Barrier buff tree so you can get +RES and +DEF for your pets and yourself. Between those two, they're both good choices for keeping pets alive, if that's your goal.
The buff pets heal you and give you DEF. You may or may not care or want that, if your pets are taking damage instead of you. Otherwise, the Warworks damage pets are really powerful. But if you prefer ranged pets, the Clockwork damage pets do really great AoE damage (and would work well with bots).
Other options are fine. -
Just crashed out again twice, about 30-45 minutes ago. Virtue, Lambda. We were loading in with a full 16 both times. First time we got a few kills and then poofed. Second time we managed to clear the entire perimeter before it threw us back outside.
Operative Jenoma (@Bound Kitty) was leading. Victoria Noir, Pu-244, Domi Dayglow, and others were in attendance. -
I've been messing with the Reactive DoT all day and it seems like I've been incorrect in my previous assertion of how the proc actually works. I'm sort of surprised nobody (like Arcanaville) showed up to correct me on it.
It seems as though it actually tics up to 5 times at the rate at which the power says so. So if it's the 50%, there's a 50% chance for each tic to trigger. So at most if you're using the 75%, there are five tics at 75% each. On average you'll see almost 4 tics each attack.
-1s: 14.85
+0s: 13.38
+1s: 12.04
+2s: 10.7
+3s: 8.69
This means that, on average, you get an extra:
-1s: 55.6875
+0s: 50.175
+1s: 45.15
+2s: 40.125
+3s: 32.5875
damage per attack. Before RES is factored in. -
Quote:In some instances they're limited. For example, they're all given a passive power that gives them 25% RES vs all and 50% DEF vs AoE. Any inherent resistances, DEF, or regen they might have had as a normal unit was removed.I have a question regarding the Lore pets. Do the all the pets use the same attacks and other powers a critter of the same type would use? or are their power selections more limited?
And some of the support pets are limited in what powers they have, as most of the support pets don't attack at all. And the ones that do only get one attack. -
So check this out; the purple patch isn't working correctly against -50s.
My Widow is +1 level shifted, and against level 2 Hellions her brawl does 210 damage. But against level 1 Hellions it does 35. My Void Judgement has a base damage of 621 damage. Against level 2 Hellions it does over 3700 damage. Against level 1s it does 621 damage.
It's treating -50s as if they were +0. They even have 18%-39% to hit rolls against me, despite being 50 levels lower than me. When one shot me with his pistol, it did 5 damage.
Anyway, I'm off to see if my level 50+1 incarnate can get killed by level 1s. -
About 10 seconds, and the DoT proc (against even cons, before RES) does about 40-50 extra damage per attack (on average, over time).

Believe me when I say I crash all the time. I've logged back in to reward tables more than a couple times. I even got kicked from a TF once and still got a reward table.
-
Quote:Usually I try to crash earlier in the trial -- sometimes even more than once -- but that time I was like "Oh man I haven't crashed in this trial yet, better do it quick before it ends."That's what you get for being impatient and crashing too soon. I crashed out of a BaF at the last phase and got my reward table. The solution is obvious: wait until you're almost done before you crash. Haven't you read the guides?
Of course the real question is, why did either of us crash out of the trial to being with? -
Run trials, and run trials.
-
So I was on a BAF the other day, and I crashed out at the last second on the final phase, when the AVs were down to about 30-40% HP. The team went on to complete it, but I wasn't there for the last minute. As a result I didn't get a reward table or a merit. Had this been a task force I would've gotten a reward table from coming back, since the server picks up on "Oh, she was there most of the time." So I filed a petition.
The reply back said, paraphrased, "This isn't a bug, technically you weren't in the mission when it ended. So you should just do another one."
So remember, if you don't want to not get a reward, just say "NO!" to crashes. -
Quote:Damage resistance resists damage debuffs (heh).Awesome guide
And it helped me plan out what I want to do but I had some questions
*Void Radial Final Judgement: -50% DMG for 30s, 32 targets (50ft radius)
-will that really halve the incoming damage from enemies it hits or is there something I need to take into account
So it's -50% damage unless they have RES. Then if they have 50% RES, they resist 50% of the -50%, so it's only -25% on them. It's kind of weird like that. Generally speaking though it's a pretty big debuff and it's still really useful.
Quote:*Paralytic Radial Flawless Interface: 25% -DEF, 75% -DMG
-Can a single toon realy stack up enough -dmg from paralytic to hit that 75% max
What's the hard cap for -dmg? 90?

Does the recharge boost effect henchmen attack rates? Is the debuff res added to attacks like interface procs? -
On the plus side, if you do actually spam trials really hard you can literally be done with all your slots in a week. It goes that shockingly fast. I already have a rare even though I spent more time crashing and staring at the loading screen than actually playing in trials. And I know people who already have VRs slotted. It's only been two days.
-
Slightly off-topic, I feel like a great approach for a team that's shockingly incompetent and just can't handle completing a trial might be to just start a Lambda, clear everything, and then leave. You can easily get 20-25% iXP and a bunch of threads doing that. Do that a few times and you can unlock and probably slot Interface and Destiny.
-
It definitely happened to me once in beta. I recall the whole team bouncing back into the D and asking what happened.
-
Kills count for the whole team, just like regular kills for exp and inf and drops. If anyone on your team is killing somebody, you get iXP for it. Even if you flail about and lose trials you still get iXP and threads for the effort.

Quote:Sorry for cross-post, but it's relevant:For those that are still experiencing this issue, if you could please let us know a few tidbits of information:
- Server you were playing on
- Size of League/Team
- Trial you were participating in
- Time of Day/Date/Timezone
- Did you join as a preformed group or did you utilize the Team Up Teleporter
Thanks!
My group just got booted out of the Lambda trial three times in a row. We'd get all 16 people ready, zone in, and in less than 2 minutes be thrown back to our previous zone, the league completely disbanded so we had to rebuild from scratch. Three times in a row, before we finally got sick of it and gave up.
This was on Virtue, just a few minutes ago, in RWZ2 (and Pocket D twice before that). @Bound Kitty was leading. I was on Victoria Noir. Other people attending were Black Helix, Stabby McKnife, and some others. Hopefully you can look up what's causing it with that information.
This happened about 30 minutes ago (6:30 PM CST). It was a pre-formed team. Twice was a full 16, once was with 15 and a 16th joined from the queue. -
Theoretically you can also get 2 threads by doing an Apex or Tin, but that's only 1/10th of a common component. You need 60 threads just to get one common, so you'd have to run 30 task forces.
So yes, run trials or farm shards and inf. -
Quote:Interface and Destiny are not affected by Alpha stuff. Judgement and Lore are. Except recharge. What about the other Alpha modifiers i.e. END, DMG and ACC? I'm most interested in END Alpha affecting Destiny since I'm already an END hog even with VR Alpha, but I'm also curious about the other 2. Might be worth for me to get DMG or ACC if it affects Destiny.
You mention Judgement and Lore are affected by Alpha. Nothing is said about Interface but I assume PROCs are freebies, but what about Destiny? Especially END wise? And, secondarily for me, Heal wise if I take the Healing destiny. (DMG and ACC don't seem to apply for Destiny anyways)
About 10 seconds. -
No, none of the powers are affected by recharge of any kind.
