Quote:It just seems a lot of missions, and I'm expecting that GR has some sort of scanner missions. I didnt mean to say all the missions would be like paper/radio ones either, just that I hope the bulk of that '100s' isnt including them. What makes you think that their "100s of missions" for a paid expansion would be procedurally generated instead of individually written/created? It's not like they keep shoveling radio/paper missions at us all the time instead of well crafted story arcs. Not that we get a ton of new arcs every issue, but still, it's usually hand crafted stuff when we get it.
I don't really see why they'd lower the bar for a paid expansion.
100's of story missions is a lot. Though with my recent expereices with the lawyer language the City staff used with the preorder and how the wording about no others incentives for prepurchase means this 'style' of presenting information that it may only be 201 missions to be called 100's. But though thats another rant, its part of the casue and effect of why I will always doubt what city staff appear to say without running it through the lawyer translation program.
Anyway I don't see why you would not include those types of missions when making a statement like 'there will be 100's of missions'. I don't see anything bad in including those types of missions in that statement.
But CG like normal hasnt shown her source of info (or more openly admiting she is in cb or whatever), and why bother to search out the exact thing said, as it will turn out that people will say (much like in this thread) it wasnt anything offically said, as was only said in a forum address, was only mentioned in a video etc. -

Quote:You're wrong about the stated number one reason. The number one reason for no market merge was alwasy that there was a danger it would wipe out items and inventories, and that they didn't want to take that risk - and from the reactions by some to the postponment of a small endgame preview in GR, I think we can guess how they might have reacted to finding their inventories and biods wiped out
Plus, after over three months of beta testing, their theories on the economic effects of a market merge might have been proven incorrect by the actual in-game effects. -

Looks like a fine reward, though would be sooo much more useful if this was earlier. Really wish the devs could rearrange the order of vet rewards around a bit but cant see that ever happening.
I see it helping a whole lot of small SG's though after 75 months, yep, not many vets who have played that whole time will need it. Thoughs that take breaks but keep paying (or ebay'd accounts I guess) will like it. -

Try a global channel search for RP or Roleplay too - thats how I found the 'virtue RP' group

great idea! i'd rather more pieces at the cost of more clipping. more stuff lost from being 'wrong' gender would be great too but think that not as easy.

Much like the ships in bottles, the building is built around the tarantula

Quote:Yes: "You are supposed to hit the power before you go in". Any person, tank or otherwise, should be able to tell you that. Inspirations would do more good than a random effect if there is an ambush. Or is the +movement buffs going to stop a wipe from an ambush.perhaps a patch that would give the user of said packs the options to "disable unwanted side effects"
they should have taken a poll on including that "chance to turn into a rikti monkey" in this booster.
I think everyone that is a tank would say - NO.
I can see a tank about to go into a deathtrap of a mob, and while in that mob... hits the power seeking a temp boost to survive, and instead turns into a monkey
keyword: team-wipe.
When that happens <and it will> that person is going to say "Why did I buy this?"
I'm sure someone <for whatever reason> will say "you are supposed to hit the power before you go in"
Any tank will tell you, combat situations typically don't allow for such planning. Keyword : Ambush.
Any power that inadvertently works as a sabotage should not be included in a package labeled "booster"
That includes temp powers that de-buff.
It doesn't fit the definition of what a "booster" is.
Also I have a tank, (I'm not a tank or any of my other characters) so your everyone doesn't fit.
The person wiping from a devloution should say 'why did i do that then' not why did I buy that pack. -
Quote:Nothing changed. All the archetypes I play seem to die super fast but tankers, controllers, Masterminds, Domanitors. My two Kinetics corrupter, can't kill a boss without leveling or useing confuse anymore. The Blasters die to fast for me to kill stuff, and Stalkers always sucked. Scrappers and Brutes take to much damage... Maybe I play Champions to much : P Oh well I guess I will stick with the Tanks, Controllers, Masterminds, Domanitors hehe. Did they change anything in the past 6 months?
Make sure you havent set your difficulty higher than standard if you are having problems.
Corrupters can't confuse?
Use inpirsations more. That will help a lot.
Temp powers from market might help as well. -

Quote:You can sell enhancements in a stack now...cool.. didnt know that...Another thread on this right now--with FREEEEE in the title.
Short version: Diverse stock unless the item moves a lot per day. (For small, but reliable potatoes, you can nab 10 common recipe acc/dmg/rech/end often for 1000 infl apiece, then grab the common salvage in stacks of ten for the same price--or cheaper. Craft, sell in a stack--this preserves market spaces--and you can easily make a million or three with a stack of ten.)
edit: oh i see... i didnt think you could -

I'm still struggling to see the issue.
It seems you want the player behind the character to feel super heroic. Its more metagame that you want to fight AVs like they are EBs without making them EBs.
Batman doesnt get to choose the level of power his foes have. He just fights them. Behind the scenes the writers scale the foe. I'm sure squirrel girl fighst Dr Doom as a EB not AV .
The downgrade to EB is a behind the scenes way of allowing your character to fight the uber foes.
Using roleplaying lore & comic examples for a metagaming concept doesnt seem right. Because you can solo Lord recluse etc.
Of course ymdv. -
So whats wrong with fighting them as EBs? Or would ego be better served if they were called AVs with stats of an EB?

I know you are calling out all of Australia, but you really mean justice server right?

Do pick up groups with strangers from active global channels?
Quote:1) 8/10 teamsPeople tell me I have the worst luck with PuGs. Sometimes it feels like that, but I also get pretty lucky meeting new people. So here's a few questions that I'd like to ask the rest of you.
In an average gaming week:
1) How often do you PuG instead of grouping within your SG or friends?
2) How often do you group with friends and fill the rest of the group with PuGs?
3) How often do your PuG members do what you feel needs to be done without being told to do so?
4) How often do you find yourself telling PuG members what you feel they should be doing (for the good of the current team/session)?
5) How often do you find yourself adding PuG members to your friends/global friends, and if those lists are full, using other methods of remembering them?
6) How often do you group with complete jerks in a PuG?
As for me:.
2) About 50/50 of the times I group witrh friends. A lotof time when i am teaming with friends I keep it small, but if we feel like a team of 8 (or bigger) we fill up with /search and boradcasters.
3) Most of time PUG members do the job fine. Sometimes I'll say a pull here ir there, or if on a TF/SF telling how I want to do the mission if I'm star. Mayhems are a big exception, they seem to go wrong most without a lot of communication.
5) Rarely, though I do make sure most people I pug with know about global channels.
6) Maybe once every few months or so. Once a week or so I'll roll my eyes at comments or think wtf but complete jerks are pretty rare in my play exerience - & no rude tell stories yet -
Quote:Normal emails arent lost after 30 days though, so comparing that normal emails are saved even if your acount is inactive for a while (weeks for me at times) isnt a safe compsarion as the rules are different for email attached mails.I have done the manual renewal a few times and my subscription lapsed by a few days each time. In each case I did not loose any e-mails I had saved. Not sure if the changes to the in-game e-mail will change this, but the history suggests it will not.
