Cool, I like that build, and I do see improvements over my existing one.
At first, I wanted to take Dimension Shift. I know a lot of people don't like it, but its one of those powers you rarely see used, and it DOES have a nice 'Oh sh*t' quality to it. But that was back in the day of only SO's. Today's world of IO's and set bonuses, we seem to have less of a need for that kind of thing. And hasten is a much more useful power. So good call on that.

Hows this updated one look? I went with the full 6 basilisk on the holds, because I didn't really see where else to put those slots, and I like that +regen and status resist. I put a knockback resist in my fly, with a stealth in hover (stealth there...will I always be stealthed, or only when hover is active?).
Any good recommendations for some hold/stun resist that I can fit somewhere? I was on a TF the other day, and getting held and stun like crazy. I can Clear mind others to help them out of it, but not so much on myself.

Ok guys, this is my first blaster, he's level 26 and will soon start getting some IO sets put in (I usually do them around 30). I know this has them all set to 50, just ignore that

Hows it look? I'm going for heavy damage. I know I don't have tough/weave, but I do have some +defense sets in there, and took the ice shield, HoarFrost (heal) and Hibernate (Oh Sheeeeet button) for when I need to survive. A big part of my set focus was +Recharge, so I could have all my abilities ready quickly. You may wonder about the AE Sleep slotting, well the recipes are worth less than a million each, and I get 10% recharge out of the dealnot too shabby!
Oh, the one-slot powers I'll probably just put common IO's in. Just forgot to slot them before posting.
Also, the slotting order is kind of not exact.

How bad of shape would I be in if I went without Tough/Weave on this set? With all the negative accuracy I'll be pumping out, and the resists I'll get from my powers, I might be alright?
If I can't, I might have to just skip a travel power, and let sprint/ninja run do all the work. Though I'll still pick up combat jumping, just because its so cheap, and decent defense.

Hey guys, I'm having so much fun with my Ice/Fire, that I decided once he's finished I'm going to make another one! I've been reading some info on Dark/Dark, and I realize its not considered the 'best' tank, but it seems that if hes slotted well theres a lot of fun stuff to be had there.
I've created a concept toon, and level pacted with a friend of mine who made a fire/fire tank. We'll mostly be playing together, but I also want to be useful on teams and/or solo if need be.
So heres the build. I've not slotted any enhancements in it yet, as I'm more interested in which powers I'm taking, and when. Hows it look so far?

Cool, I put together a build with most of your suggestions, and used a respec last night to put it all together
. So far its working great, though I'm sure the few sets I managed to put in also help!
Its not all together different from my original plan, in terms of powers (I like getting icicles early, got firesword, etc), but the slotting is much more like yours.

Would I be crazy to drop Incinerate for Fire Sword? I don't like the DoT because I find it usually doesn't have time to tick all the way. I think I'm going to keep my Fire Sword at lower level, drop Incinerate at 35, and take buildup then. -

Right now I'm 36 and moving along. I agree that I should work in Buildup there.
Do you think if I got hasten, I'd have perma-hasten with those slots? Would it be worth it, or not really?

So I shouldn't waste my time with Ancillary pools?
I was thinking of dropping Fire Sword once I got Greater Fire Sword, but that leaves me with VERY few attacks at lower levels. I'll only have 2 attacks until level 28, but I guess thats alright as I probably won't be exempting THAT much.
If I dropped Hurdle and Taunt, and picked up the Ancillaries that I originally listed, that wouldn't be too bad right? -
I have fire sword circle slotted that way now, and will be slotting Chilling Embrace that way soon.
My goal is for leveling up and being useful once I hit 50. Then I'd like to farm myself some cash, and start on some upgrades.

Oh ya, and while solo farming, I'd like to be able to do +1x8.

Hi guys, I'm kinda new to the tanker scene, but this Ice/Fire tanker is a lot of fun so far (level 33 atm). I've been outta game for about 2 years, and just recently returned.
I want the ability to be useful in teams and tank alot, but also have some solo ability.
Hows my build look? It looks pretty fun to me, but I'm just looking for any tips to make sure I'm not missing something obvious. Mostly interested in the power choices (how do they look)?
I don't have a TON of money (hope that'll change once this guy hits 50) so this is my cheapo non-set build. Only a couple sets in it. Mostly common IO's. Once I get that Physical Perfection at 49, I might drop a few End Reduc's in my attack powers.

If you want more damage, put in 2 level 50 Dmg IOs. Then put in a level 50 Dmg/Rech IO from some set. You get up to the max in damage buff plus recharge faster.

I remember from before IO's became popular, that you shouldn't put more than 3 SO's in a power, because any more than that yields diminishing returns.
I'm wondering if more than 2 IO's in a power will start giving Diminishing Returns in the same way at level 50 (or some other level).

Hey guys, I'm resubbing after a LONG time out of game, and I was looking at the demon summoning powerset. Looks cool! But do I have to prepurchase the 'Going Rogue' expansion in order to play demon summoning MM? Thats how I read it on the site, but I just wanted confirmation.

I sent CuppaJo a PM about the Base Transporter disparity between CoH and CoV. I basically explained that in CoV, the base transporters go to every zone, and in CoH the base transporters only go to the Hazard zones. I claimed that a common criticism of CoH is the excessive travel times, therefore a good idea would be to give base portals the ability to go to more zones in CoH. This would have the effect of making CoH bases more useful, and cutting down on travel times between missions.

One correction here...the Skyraider Jet Pack should be 60 minutes duration, not 90 minutes. I did it yesterday expecting that the duration would be 90 minutes but it was one hour.
