A few general suggestions:

Get a few sets of Doctored Wounds. It's a fairly reasonably priced set the last time I had checked. Five pieces will yeild a nice 5% recharge bonus that you can pick up in Healing Aura, Heal Other, Regeneration Aura, and Adrenalin Boost.

Regeneration Aura, Recovery Aura, and Adrenalin Boost are the key parts of Empathy and deserve more slotting. Primarily, you want them up as often as possible. The Doctored Wounds set is nice for both Regeneration Aura and Adrenalin Boost and Efficiany Adaptor will work well in Recovery Aura. A special note on Adrenalin Boost: one generic end mod IO will let it overcome the -recovery from a blaster's nuke. Give this to a Blaster that's ready to nuke and the can keep on trucking without the crash.

Clear Mind doesn't need recharge. It generally recharges before the animation completes anyway. Resurrect could go without the recharge as well.

For your holds, I'd recommend 4 parts Gaze of the Basilisk and 1 triple from Essence of Curare. You'll get better enhancement values and free up slots at the cost of some rather lackluster set bonuses.

I'll second pretty much everything Ketch said. While my personal experience with Gravity Control is minimal I've plenty of Empathy experience. Doctored Wounds is the set you want. I'd slot Clear Mind with range and Resurrect with endred as you have no Vigilance working to reduce its 26 endurance cost (and should have lots of global recharge working to reduce its downtime). I usually don't go beyond 3 recharge in Recovery Aura ... seldom does a team need more +recovery than provided by the base boost of Recovery Aura. I generally find any further slots you might use here are better spent elsewhere, (Like in Regeneration Aura or Adrenaline Boost).

I'd also be looking to add some knock back protection somewhere most likely via a BotZ and probably in Fly.

Thanks guys!

Hows this updated one look? I went with the full 6 basilisk on the holds, because I didn't really see where else to put those slots, and I like that +regen and status resist . I put a knockback resist in my fly, with a stealth in hover (stealth there...will I always be stealthed, or only when hover is active?).

Any good recommendations for some hold/stun resist that I can fit somewhere? I was on a TF the other day, and getting held and stun like crazy. I can Clear mind others to help them out of it, but not so much on myself .

Dont slot any Immobilise in Crushing Field. It recharges in 8 seconds and lasts many times longer.

You could replace that with an Accuracy.

Another couple of good things to slot in there though are the Ragnorak knockdown proc, or the Gravitational Anchor chance for hold. Both of these turnt he power into a really good soft control as you know enemies over or make them float into a short lived gravity style hold. It looks awesome.

I slotted the Ragnorak proc and 5 Grav Anchor pieces for the 10% recharge bonus. You could lose dome of the slots in Health, RotP, maybe the Slow %age in Gravity Distortion Field?

Hrm- alrighty, Direwolf. Here's a stab at an updated build. I've squeezed a bit of recharge out of things, and made some alterations as well; the stealth would only be in effect when Hover was active (and for 120 seconds afterwards), so I shifted the Stealth IO into Sprint and put the Freebird: Endurance in its place for if you're like me, and gravity is something that happens to other people (on this toon, a LOT of other people ). If you don't tend to hover in combat, feel free to ignore that and put the Freebird: Stealth back in, since it's much cheaper than either the Unbounded Leap or Celerity Stealth IO.

Changing out the Basilisk's Gaze: Chance for Recharge Slow for the Curare Triple makes a fairly significant difference in how fast the holds recharge and how long they last- nearly 8 seconds off recharge and 2 seconds onto duration on the AoE and 0.5 seconds off recharge and 4 seconds onto duration on the Single-Target hold. It bumps the accuracy of both up a fair bit as well ('bout 10%). The -rech proc was a bit redundant in a Grav power anyways. And the 10% regen? Uhm... self-heal? >.>

The effects of the Performance Shifter Proc don't show up properly in Mid's, but it is a gives about an 0.2 Recovery boost, which is a minor net gain from the switch from the generics, and you can get the little set bonus if you use the Performance Shifter Endmod, which is otherwise identical to a generic Endmod IO.

Speaking of Endmods- I moved a slot from Recovery Aura into Hasten (which is what I replaced Dimension Shift with, since D. Shift is... kinda useless :/). With the recharge you already had, you're actually only about 12 seconds off permaHasten, which isn't bad.

Lesse... other bits... oh yeah- shifted some slots from Fly to Hover; if you don't mind losing the little bit of Regen from the Freebirds, you could change those to BotZs and get that defense back.

Anyways, see what you think!

EDIT- If you want mez protection, pretty much the only way for 'trollers to get it is via the Psionics APP, which would cut into your damage a bit (you'd lose Fire Blast, basically- I don't think Psionic Tornado sacrifices much to Fireball).

Cool, I like that build, and I do see improvements over my existing one.

At first, I wanted to take Dimension Shift. I know a lot of people don't like it, but its one of those powers you rarely see used, and it DOES have a nice 'Oh sh*t' quality to it. But that was back in the day of only SO's. Today's world of IO's and set bonuses, we seem to have less of a need for that kind of thing. And hasten is a much more useful power. So good call on that .

Can't wait to try out my new controller!

WOW I did NOT expect Basilisk's gaze to be so pricey. One of the recipes goes for 90 mil!

Guess I'll have to throw something lesser in there until I can afford the other stuff .

On second thought, it looks like the purple set isn't THAT much more expensive.

90 + 15 +15 + 5 + 15 for the orange set

40 mil each for the purple set. Not THAT much of a difference. Hrrm worth considering!
