  2. Actually, the devs' main problem with MA abuse are exploits being put into those farms, not so much the farms themselves. So they probably expected farmers to continue to farm, which isn't really bad, but not that so many players would discover and abuse exploits in the system. Granted, they probably expected exploits would get abused, just not this much.

  11. The best way to minimize the PITA-ness of copy-and-paste is to open the published arc, open the text file of the local arc, and then tab back and forth. But that's about as 'easy' as it currently gets.

    Check out "The Heart of Talos," #175660. It has a specialized ally designed to enable soloists to defeat Elite Bosses in Mission 2. It also features a final AV fight set up to prevent scrappers from simply tearing the AV to shreds.

    My 40 Fire/Shield Scrapper pretty much just tore the AV to shreds. The only thing that made the fight even remotely difficult was the massive spawn around him, which did take me down the first time because I evidently hit keys too fast for OWTS to actually trigger. The second try went much more smoothly. I had more trouble with Talos because of the high Fire resists. On a thematic note, I have no idea why anyone would think Odysseus (leader of the Warriors) should be an Archery/Trick Arrow build that uses the laser sight bow....

    I didn't use the ally in act II, either.

    Also, take a look at "Urban Renewal," which I designed specifically as a "complex mechanics" arc.

    Haven't tried it yet but I'm not optimistic.

    Fixed. Unless the entire objective chain is not required for completion, of course, but then I'd have to wonder why you'd bother.

    First, I chose maps where front, middle and back actually means front, middle and back.

    Which is the best you can do, and it's not enough. If the player misses or skips a trigger he's going to have to backtrack. Unless it's physically impossible for the player to progress past a trigger -- and we don't have the tech for that yet -- it's always going to be possible for the player to confound the Architect's intent.

  14. Sounds like what you're looking for are the Spetsnaz Commandos. Unfortunately, they're too low for the level range you intend to use here. Next-best group for generic military I'd say are Sky Raiders. They have no logos, and if you just grab the jetpack-less ones and fiddle with the colors some, you can easily pass them off as an entirely different group.

  16. I made sure both arcs in my signature are soloable, but "the Revenge of Hro'Dtohz" is much more so than "Hunting the Dark Dragon" since you get allies to help you nearly all the time. There are a lot of EBs and 2 AVs, but use the help you get wisely, and they're a piece of cake.

    Holy snap, that's awesome! Only nit I have is that Ken's horns are gray, but with this kind of high-quality work, actualy I can't say I care all that much. Simply awesome, awesome work. So very much appreciated.
  18. Now we just need a significant plot rewrite on the 'I serve the 5th Column' from the Reichsman and less bowing to Recluse and we'll actually have a coherent, proactive SF for villains.

    This seems to be an issue with 'fight defensive' in general at present. Sometimes allies/escortsset to this will display highly erratic behavior, such as not fighting until the player takes damage from something, stopping sporadically and refusing to follow the player, etc. 'Aggressive' does fix this, though. In fact, it seems to have become the new 'fight defensive', since I've not noticed allies/escorts set to it actually run off far from the player like they used to.

  22. Whoa snap, that looks awesome already! I don't know about the others, but you caught Ken pretty much exactly as he is (reminds me of Vader back there; simply perfect ), so I'm willing to speculate the same applies to everybody else as well.

    But yeah, I do see Savannah's missing. Poor Savvy. Glad you caught that before you started coloring. Oh, and speaking of color, quick note: the plating on the front of Ken's torso is blue like an obsidian; just for reference in case you want to make something of it. Either way, thanks a heap. That looks great!
  23. Sweet. Aiight then, let's see...well, since my best work is likely done in the writing department and GrayHuntress already has her own gallery, I'm going to work that custom arc for her.

    Face your nemesis, foil (or wreak) the schemes of your desire, perhaps even compete against your fellow heroes - if the MA can do it, I'll find a way to make it work. Just PM me what you'd like sometime.

    Nemesis Snipers

    Snipers are presently bugged somethin' fierce. There's all sorts of stuff wrong with 'em, the most annoying (to me personally, at least) that if they're spawned using an ambush, they won't move. At all. They'll shoot if they can see you, but their feet are glued to the ground.
