  1. totally forgot about shield tank... they pretty much have to be perfectly slotted to be done well. I worked out a Shield tank to have 61.6% ranged def before DR

    FIRE/SS Tank

foot stomp isn't good in pvp. It has very limited uses. People think it's good for stalkers but you only have a 5% chance of hitting a stalker in hide, unless a stalker hits something that unresistable, like, caltrops. Plus if you jump into a mm's mob, ur gonna die, especially if you think your gonna be able to foot stomp him to death. You'll get hit with melt armour and HE and have no end for phase and then you'll die. Taunt shouldn't ever be skipped. Taunt kills the range of attacks, plus it helps you stop people from spiking ur teammates.

As far as quicksand goes, skip it for temp protect and one slot it with winter's slow res for even more slow res on an auto power.

    FIRE/SS Tank

lol I guess I coulda just said swap out foot stomp and quick sand, but select the powers in that order and you'll be set up to slot ur powers correctly.

    FIRE/SS Tank

before I start, just to let you know I'm usin my phone, lol. 1. Fire shield, 2. Jab, 3. Healing flames, 4. Haymaker, 5. Cobat jumping, 6. Hasten, 7. Hurdle, 8. Stealth, 9. Sj, 10. Ss, 11. Health, 12. Stamina, 13. Plasma shield, 14. Taunt, 15. Kob, 16. Rage, 17. Acro, 18. Invis, 19. Hurl, 20. Fiery embrace, 21. Stone prison, 22. Fossilize, 23. Phase, 24. Temp protection.
  5. awesome! btw, which powers from the primary did you take for your mind/emp?
  6. I think troller is better emp bc pb charge is faster than fenders, unless that changed with the latest issue.

so take ill, I'm guessin blind and pa as my two primaries? How different should the emp powers be for arena? I want zone and arena, you think it's possible to do that as an emp?
  7. Deus

    Kinetic Melee

invis is unsurpressed. Invis is a must for stalkers tryin to escape. I use it so I don't waste phase
  8. it's on like donkey kong! I have an ice/dual blade tank that is so tuff, I aint not never ever never used one inspires...ever! I is undefeated when following TRU WARRIR - bushido code. I'm the bestest on freedom, I'm so gud, my bounty is 2 billion...if you beat me I come to your house and mop ur floors.
  9. I found a few forums about mind trollers and emp trollers, but nothing conclusive about which two powers from primary I should take. With auto placate in mesmerize, and tk a 6 sec auto cage, I would have good escapability, right? Or should I take a different primary. I know Ill is is decent bc of blind, but is it better than mind primary? Not too sure since I dont play trollers too often...

    New PvP Help

to army of jack's credit, he's new to pvp so therfore, ignorance is bliss. He doesn't know how much better things used to be, he simply knows that at the moment for him, pvp is fun and exciting. I've been playing since 04 when the game first came out, but I still find the game fun; mostly because I'm mildly retarded and I'm easily amused. And for the OP, I second the motion to whoever said, psi/em or fire/em.

    LOL! thats hilarious
  14. anyone have a dual blade/ice build? I already know my power pools are gonna be flight, sj, ss, and teleport. What can I say, I love travel powers, also, I was thinking I would skip the epic power pool. I'm too lazy to hit the search button so if someone could please post that build, I'd appreciate it. Also, I only have 2k influence...
  15. SS is a must. Primaries are Elec, Inv, and Fire in no particular order. All three of those primaries are beast mode, anything other than those is just, meh.
  16. Fire/Therm's are good. You have some slotting issues with your current build, but Sonic/Therm compared to a Fire/Therm doesn't have the same gap as Psi/EM compared to Sonic/EM. If you haven't made the toon already, then maybe change to a beast mode corrupter, but the difference between the two corr's probably isn't worth re-rolling if your toon is already at a pretty high level.

You don't have enough KB protection, you need to aim for 41 KB protection. I wouldn't 6 slot thaw, and I would try and get 3 sets of adjusted targeting for the +accuracy. I would put 2 accuracy IO's in HE. I would drop plasma shield, and blazing bolt altogether so you can pick up acrobatics, and vengeance for the KB protection. Try and 5 slot melt armour so you can get an 11% acc bonus.

I can tell you now, that current corr is going to whiff without more accuracy. It also appears that you're going for a very inexpensive build, trying to go inexpensive on a corr is painful when you know how amazing they can be with a good investment.

If you're simply flying up to a squid on a jetpack and killing them, that PB is doing something very wrong. Don't think bc you can kill a bad PB that all tri-form PB's are bad.

Rolling a PB as human only without at least the dwarf is a very bad idea. I know re-toggling is annoying, but adding at least the dwarf makes a PB a lot more escapable. And unless you're TRU WARRIR !!!! you're going to need to escape often nowadays in coh.
  18. Deus

    PB in PvP

I also rolled a human + dwarf pvp PB, and I just dont like it as much as the tri-form. Tri-form and human + dwarf both have great escapability, but it really comes down to ur play style. You have to be a little more patient using tri-form bc like Mercury said, spikes and webnades can irritate the poo out of you.

when I'm in nova form, the second I get hit, I quantum flight, and wait a few seconds bc if I don't, I'll get held and spiked. Nova has to have the mentality of a stalker (not the SHRAK SHRAK SHRAK nom nom nom stalkers), pick and choose targets wisely and you will be left alone for the most part.

running a PB without binds, imo, is almost impossible, there is too many toggles and things going on not to have a bunch of binds. Binds for transforming into each form and quantum flight are the musts, everything else is preference (heals and travel powers for human and dwarf step).
  19. Deus

    PB in PvP

lets see, a few benefits of human only pb; you will enjoy knowing you spent more money on ur toon than anyone else in the zone (aside from louie kaboom), ur toon will be a nice blaster that gets phase w/o concealment pool, you get two heals, and you will always have the question of why you have such an expensive blaster when a psi/em does it better with half the investment.

benefits of the triform: when slotted right, nova will have 196 ft range attacks that recharge by the time the attack animation is over. You can have 3 heals bc of dwarf heal along with 2 human heals. Transforming into Dwarf can get you out of mez and holds. Dwarf has teleport that can be nice. If ur on a large enough team, vills won't focus on a PB that's 200 ft in the air, and when they do, quantum flight away.

yea, dm brutes are great...if all ur gonna do is fight by - TRU WARRIR - bushido - no insp - or travel powers - fight in a cage - code.

man, you guys are hilarious today. I've laughed at every post I've read this morning.

Stalkers have hide, placate, and stealth cap for a reason, it would be in your best interest to use em.

  24. lol, that rebuttal was so amazing I'm going to cancel my coh account
  25. wow, runch, ur so insightful. WP brutes don't make very good fiteclubbers. If you wanna run around and pvp in rv, take the powers mentioned above, and get webnades. If you wanna fiteclub, roll an elec/ss
