87 Celsius? Holy friggin' crap that's hot.

First thought: when's the last time you cleaned the dust from around the fan vents?

Second thought: what drivers are you running? There was one nVidia driver released a few months back (Forceware 196.75) that caused overheating problems.

I run CoH on a Gateway p7805u FX and the highest I've seen the GPU get is around 65 Celsius. That's with lots of bells and whistles turned on. If your GPU cooling fan really is running constantly, you shouldn't be seeing it getting that hot.

My other thought is that the GPU temperature sensor might be malfunctioning. Find which vents expel air from your CPU and GPU fans and compare how hot that air is. 87 C is 13 C short of boiling water, so the difference should be very, very noticeable.

I plan on taking my main redside for badges, then back again. I'm toying with the idea of turning my now defunct Inv/SS Tanker into a SS/Inv Brute (Tankers bore me to death and Scrappers ain't getting SS anytime soon), but my last experience with a SS/Inv Brute didn't go all that well.

Rage also has a -defense component, but the -damage is far more visible if you monitor it. The attribute monitor will show your damage at -9999% in big red numbers when Rage crashes so it's a good indicator.

Based on brief testing, each attack generates a 10% damage boost (5 points of Fury), while it decays by 4% (2 points) a second. So by my rough and probably technically inaccurate guesstimation, that chain would generate 20 points of Fury while during that time period you would lose 10 points.

As long as the flavor isn't altered, I'd eat it. It's bacon. Refusal to eat perfectly good bacon is either a crime against humanity or in accordance with certain religious beliefs, which is considered acceptable grounds for conscientious objection.

I'm still wrapping my head around how much better off the game will be as a result of this and the Going Rogue system. Being able to play whatever AT I want, whichever side I want without being constrained by a malnourished redside market... Whatever reservations I might have had about Going Rogue (the expansion) have evaporated in one glorious instant.

I picked up the game after my brother started playing. At the time, for some bizarre reason I was playing the horrifying grindfest that is Lineage II. He showed me how new characters start out fighting gang members instead of rats and work their way up from there. I created my first character on his account, an Elec/Elec Blaster named Crimson Thunder. I got him to level 6 and knew I had to have my own account.

A few days later I traded in some games at EBGames and picked up my own copy. I started May 27, 2004, and though I've taken a few breaks here and there, CoH remains my favorite MMO.

The Devil's Timepiece is one of my favorite arcs. The last boss fight was highly memorable. Welcome to the forums!
